It was a like a breath of fresh air as Noctis hopped into the arena, ready to fight the Wotan opponent in front of him. He hadn't participated in an arena battle in quite some time, so his blood was pumping with excitement. Stone slabs served as the flooring in the arena, making for a 10 meter diameter circle surrounded with a deep water. It was fortunate that those who managed to assemble the arena made sure to provide environmental advantages for all types, it was more interesting that way anyway.

Noctis took the duracloth wrap around right arm and began to slowly wind it around the handle of his blade, Kuroi, as the announcer prepared the audience for the fight. Noctis, as a member of the longleg tribe, stood almost 9 feet tall, Kuroi approaching the same length from pommel to tip. Noctis' cape billowed as a slight breeze made it's way through the arena, Noctis resting his blade on the floor of the stage. With the rules clear, Noctis took a deep breath as the announcer roared. "GO!"

The wotan man, almost before the call, fell into the water. That much was expected, the half-fishman wanted to establish a terrain advantage. However, Noctis was under no obligation to pursue him there. Instead, Noctis immediately began to convert the air above the water's surface and throughout the arena into a thick purple gas, his Rokumori gas. The Noctis range of influence for the creation and manipulation of his gas was 30 meters, more than enough to consume the entire circular arena and the surrounding water. Noctis took in a few breaths from the clean air he maintained just around his nose and mouth, waiting for the expanding Wotan to make his move.

Noctis began to tap his foot along the ground of the arena to build power as he anticipated his opponent's next possible moves. It was very likely that by establishing his terrain advantage, the Wotan was going to try and eliminate the arena as quickly as possible. While Noctis could keep himself in the air, the next few moments would be critical. Manipulating the Rokumori gas he had created, Noctis forced it downward into the water where it would dissolve and cause the water to quickly become toxic and saturated, as the oxygen within was displaced and reduced in concentration resulting in eventual hypoxia.  

As Noctis created the toxic brew, he pressed off the ground and launched himself just over twenty meters into the air with Nagare to distance himself from the floor. The shockwave erupted causing the arena to break apart as it traveled up thirty meters from where the Wotan had launched his attack just ten meters below. The force stopped just shy of impacting Noctis who was glad he had moved when he did. While the idea to destroy the arena was something even he had anticipated, Noctis wasn't quite aware of the full scope of the Wotan's strength.

Still, the plan seemed to backfire somewhat as the rubble from the arena landed back on the waters surface, floating to create a wide array of platforms, numbering in the dozens thanks to the increased density of the water from Noctis' earlier saturation. The water now turning a deep purple, Noctis landed on one of the stone platforms approximately 30 meters away from Noctis' initial starting point, tapping his foot more and waiting to see the tired Wotan's reaction as Rokumori gas now filled not only the air, but the water as well.
