Spook

SPOOK.

You there, traveler. I need your help

The dark looming nights of Baltigo started with a stranger trying to catch Spooks attention. A vague shadow from an alley rolled up their index finger into a welcoming gesture. Amused he was, the man with a drink in his hand. What's the worst that'll come from this? He thought, entertaining the stranger by moving towards it. The ice cubicle in his glass crackled, as the stranger explained itself.

The hangman is in town again. Watch yourself now...

While speaking, the stranger disappeared into the valley. What a strange omen. Naturally he'd feel as if he was threatened. The way Spook handled situations was pretty simple; can I influence the outcome -- depending on the answer, he'd give a fuck or not. Types like these, that disappear into mysterious alleys into the dark of the night weren't worth dealing with. This was their turf anyway. Spook had his hands on his pockets while the stranger spoke--it was a common scam around here, distract the tourist and have a second man take their wallet. With his sharp wits, Spook responded to the vanishing entity.

When the hangman meets god in purgatory, will he be excused?

It was merely an attempt to bait out the mysterious entity that loomed within the alley. Fighting on the illuminated street was a better outcome of this bout. A few seconds passed, nothing--the air got cold, the tension rose as a result. Then out nowhere, a flyer smacking the left side of Spooks head. And like a seasoned warrior, Spook assumed a fake karate stance, one that portrayed his muscles more than they normally would. Nothing. His heart beated at twice the regular tempo, all for no reason. A loud sigh followed. Properly inspecting the flyer revealed some interesting things.

GOLDEN SLOOP MUSEUM

Featuring 100 years of Baltigo history. Experience a unique slideshow where we show you 100 years of Baltigo. The Golden Sloop Museum reopens its doors after twenty-five years, a large renovation has been done. An addition has been made of fifteen new paintings, two statues, and three busts. The museum now has been made wheelchair accessible.

CHILDRENS SLOOP EVENT
Varsity Lobby-C Sector 9
Every tuesday night at 23:00

Spook chuckled. How cruel to have a children's even at 9 pm. He'd knew that they were staying in Baltigo for some time--maybe it was worthing checking out what this museum was about? Did they allow entry if the guest has booze with them? That alone motivated Spook enough to haul ass with a few other drunk bar patrons he managed to convince.

Not a long while later was Spook found in a queue in front of the museum. Open till two AM apparently. While in the line, a half case of beer, a conservative tequila shot and two whiskey shots were drunk by Spook and his drunk patrons. He'd declared himself tour leader, and they were in for an adventure.

Yes my good man.

Spook placed the dorsal surface of his hand on the right side of the ticketing guys torso.

We'd enjoy the pleasure of you giving us four tickets to your fine establishment. We have been through a grand adventure, to arrive at this institution of lost arts.

Half Spooks body got pulled aside, with some hush hush whisperings.

I correct myself good sir--let me reperoply. Reproperly. That's a funny word.

His body got pulled back again. There was some discussion in the group, about what this place can be called. They had forgotten it was a museum. Due to these shenanigans the line was held up even longer. The ticketer started to lose his patience.

Four tickets; twenty-thousand beli.

And that action enough warranted Spook to place his hand on the mans chest again. With him towering a few foot above the ticketer, a physical intimidation was constantly being emit.

I'll have my ticket for free please.

It obviously wasn't worth the ticketers time not to grant Spook his free ticket. It also didn't matter to him that the rest of his party wasn't going to get in, unless they coughed up some gold. They weren't as intimidating as him. As soon as he got his stub, Spook nonchalantly continued onwards. The party must go on. While taking a guided tour of the place, a certain painting attracted his attention. A painting called the Nights Watch. The name was interesting by itself, it wasn't night in the picture--the varnish of the canvas made it darker due to its age. The scene was meant to be in daylight. A balance of chaos and unity painted made a unique scene. A strong topic of the painting was the captain ordering the company forward. Spook wanted this painting. Along the tour, they showed the rumoured Golden Sloop. A cute couple in the group of the guide started whispering with each other, luckily within Spooks earshot.

It's worth how much on the streets?

Spoke a louder than subtle voice towards the couple. Some hush hush followed, and the price tagged on the Golden Sloop was enough to convince Spook to make this into an operation. The Sloop was treasured due to some rich merchants wanting it. It'd be like a status symbol to them. Robbing this joint became a mission in Spooks mind. His first task was finding a staff member to turn into a toy. Luckily a staff bathroom stuck out to him, upon entering he found two staff workers there--accomplished after his tour guide wasn't paying attention to the group. A waiter of the restaurant, and a tour guide--perfect. Firstly Spook locked the entrance to the bathroom, and then appeared confused in front of the two staff workers who were washing their hands.

Excuse me, where is the exit?

The tour guide walked to Spook and begun explaining, only to be interrupted by Spook touching his hand and converting him into a toy.

The contract set-up was the general A1 contract.

By using the newly formed toy, Spook propelled himself forwards--launching the toy into the opposite direction. Like a vampire he lunged out to the waiter to grab his shoulder, and brush his neck with his thumb. Doing so resulted in the waiter to turn into a toy as well, with the same contract.

Contract

Spook puffed out, and ordered the toys to come to his side in order to transform them both into mundane coins he could carry out with him. They were neatly placed into the breast pocket of his colbert. This allowed him to leave the museum with no additional eyes attracted to him. It was time to involve friends into this, Spook thought of inviting his crewmate Lucas into this heist. As soon as he was aboard the ship again, he begun looking for Lucas.

Luuucaaass~~~

Said the suave gentleman in order to attract the attention of his crewmate. Spook sat on a chair in one of the crew rooms. A sporadic amount of opened and half full bottles of liquor covered the table in front of him.

Loooehhkaassss~~~

A
Heist?

Lucas was busy grinding up some herb inside of the handheld mixer. The grinder was making mechanical noises with each turn. Turning the whole bud into fine granite sized pieces. Pieces that would be held back by the filter on the metal piece attached to a hole on the side. He was looking at the plastic beaker turned into a bong right in front of himself. Everyone was off doing their own thing as of late. After a busy work week, he figured he would unwind by smoking a bit of the Hash in his room. Others didn't mind the smell in the ship due to a good bit of them smoking the good stuff themselves. Everyone had a preference, Lucas was a bong man himself. With two fingers he drizzled bits and pieces of the hash into the bowl piece. Little did he know he was about to be entangled in some more dealings of the nefarious nature. Not that smoking hash was legal, but the marines had bigger issues to deal with than some low tier drug.

After filling the large bowl to about half way he placed his mouth on the end of the bong. With a free hand, he took a lighter and set the hash a flame. With a huge inhale he pulled in smoke from the hash into the bong causing it to fill. Moving his thumb he revealed a hole that would let the air flow naturally with one big breath. Lucas inhaled again once more removing the smoke from the bong. It wasn't long before he heard his name through the hallways of the ship. His cheeks were puffed up and his eyes were slowly turning red from trying to hold the smoke in. He let it all out upon peaking into the hallway to see who was calling him.

“Yesssss?” Lucas echoed back after the first call.

His name was being echoed down by Spook. He was in one of the crew rooms calling out to him. Lucas took one more large hit before placing the bong onto the dresser. He made his way down the hallway and into the room where he was being called. Peeking into the room, Lucas noticed the half-drunk bottles of liquor, one could only assume it was Spook's room. He couldn't judge due to just taking to quick hits of a drug.

“You rang?”

SPOOK.

Spook eyed Lucas entering the room. His nonchalant persona didn't break upon seeing all of the bottles. Impressive.

I have an idea.

Like a cool guy would, Spook jumped off his chair and went towards the old timey wimey chalkboard which was covered by a red robe. He pulled the mysterious shroud of red away and revealed the chalkboard detailing a grand heist. Spook wrapped the red robe around his neck, wearing it as a cape. He modified one of the toys in his breast pocket--and turned it into a retractable pointing stick. He used the energy that was created by him pointing with passion at the board to expand the stick.

The Golden Sloop.

A big swig was taken from a bottle of whiskey, letting the liquor escape his lungs as soon as he swallowed--he pointed towards the center of the painting. While burping and unconventionally pause throughout his sentence, Spook begun explaining.

Word is, merchants of the underworld are in desire of the Golden Sloop, the center piece of the Golden Sloop Museum exhibition. Oh man..

Spook buckled over for a second, he reached into his breast pocket and revealed a toy-coin, after pulling it out of his pocket he transformed it back into a regular toy.

Get me a cheeseburger, and some Jameson

After turning the pointer back into a regular toy as well Spook continued explaining his intelligible plan to his crewmate Lucas.

These two are staff of the museum, we could extract vital information from them in order to make this robbery happen.

What do you say, are you in?

A
Heist?

Lucas’s nonchalant way of not noticing the bottles was a means of not judging Spooks character. Spook quickly launched off his chair and crossed the room quickly. Shuffling through the room sporadically made Lucas chuckle a bit due to the greenery flowing through his system at this very moment. Seeing the individual move across the room towards the chalkboard came off as comical in nature. Hopefully, Spook didn’t get offended by the childish chuckle but Lucas paid attention too what was coming next. A chalkboard was revealed by the removal of a red robe, that quickly became a cape. Lucas tried with all of his might to quell the laughter that was boiling inside. It became a snicker that left the confines of his mouth into the air. A toy became a stick in an instant and now Lucas was eyeballing Spook. He quickly crossed the room and took the seat where Spook was as he spoke. Looking around Lucas grabbed a half-filled liquor bottle and took a swig of it without skipping a beat.

“The Golden Sloop?”

Lucas question was quickly answered by Spook. A golden object that seemed to be the focal point of the heist that was covering the board. Before Lucas could say anything Spook ordered a toy to get a cheeseburger. Lucas stopped and watched the toy move out of the room. He will not be fascinated by Spook’s abilities. He looked back at the board, taking another swig of what tasted like an apple vodka. Quite tasty, but that could prove to be problematic due to being so tasty. Lucas didn’t wanna get too wasted before the full plan was unveiled too him.

“So looking at this..”

Lucas’s brain blanked for a moment due to being elevated mentally from the drug. After the pause, he quickly snapped back to Spook’s question.

“Yes, let's go get the Sloop. I should probably sober up though I am a bit burnt out if you can tell. Partook in some of the hash before ya called me. Gotta excuse me.”

Spook

SPOOK.

Lucas's reaction to Spooks grand gestures and bravado were a few chuckles here and there--but there was something else, he couldn't quite point out what it was. It didn't seem that Lucas could enjoy the sheer genius behind his unintelligible plan. That was alright, Spook operated on the Persian method; come up with plans drunk, and revise them again sober. Sometimes he applied it but in reverse.

I don't think this plan will work out like I have in my mind. We should regroup in the morning, and reconsider in the morning.

The next few hours were complete darkness to Spook, he awoke in the beds of one of the grunts, with a joint under his pillow. How did this happen?

Hash? You mean hashish? You have that?

The memories naturally came back together, as to not interrupt the flow of the story by introducing some non-chronological side plot.

Someone taught me how to roll a hashish joint once; do you mind...

can I roll a joint for you?

This scene might be interpreted romantically. But that was wrong, this scene was meant to portray Spooks enthusiasm for the fine crafts of drugs. The memories went blank from that point on onwards, perhaps they will be reawakened at another time. For the time being, he left the bunk bed, into the mess hall where he grabbed whatever calorie he could get his hands on.

Bread, butter, and a slice of ham -- food was a luxury for Spook anyway; and it wasn't that he didn't know how to make it more proper, like by trying to make it into a club sandwich. He just didn't care. This lunch was enjoyed outside, with two fingers of whiskey and the joint he found under his pillow. Spook wasn't a grunt, so living a somewhat 'eccentric' life was a given. This weird ass ship floated in the sky, so there wasn't much of a scenery to unjoy, unless they were insanely off balance.

Ah right, the Golden Sloop...

The memories oddly enough seemed to come back after taking a few hits of his token. They became clear enough what the general thought of last night was about. Luckily through his earlier handiwork, he kidnapped two toys from the Sloop exhibition. This must be the reason why so many old sages smoke from a pipe.

Hmhm.. hmmhmm.. I wonder where Lucas went off to.

Saying this, Spook snapped his fingers to gather the attention of his slaves, toys. Speaking of which, why does this boat have no female grunts? He sighed at the realization, and looked on his watch--making the time he had to wait before his toys got to him seem more dramatic.

Right, you, fetch Lucas for me. You and you, fetch me another drink.

Spook had started amassing a small group of toys, the begin of his empire was simple. While his toys were off doing their duty, Spook had found a notepad and a pen. He begun writing his plan on it, again, but this time more understandable. This operation had multiple areas that needed to be covered prior to their actual heist of the Sloop. A reconnaissance mission, gathering the required equipment, planning the heist, and some various other plans depending on the planning of the heist; such as creating a distraction during the heist. When he got done putting these items on a list, his underlings had fetched him a white russian.

Right, I'll need your information too.

He told the toys, who he previously had kidnapped from the exhibition.

I wanna hear the juicy details of the sloop.

The waiter of the restaurant nodded his head and begun explaining,

It's worth a lot on the streets--to get hired at that place you need the permission of a marine lieutenant, naturally they pay the marines money to inspect staff before hiring them. The room with the sloop is inspected daily. Also the waffles at the bar are twenty percent cheaper than the waffles at the gift shop.

That last detail sure was random as hell, perhaps his grasp on these toys wasn't as strong as he thought it was? Spook continued retrieving detail from his toys until Lucas turned up.

A
Heist?

Lucas managed to keep himself together to despite being intoxicated and high at the same time. Or in other words, he was crossfaded to all hell. He would be no use to anyone at the moment. Spook offered to reconvene in the morning which was no doubt a good idea. Before leaving Lucas took another look at the grand plan Spook thought of. One thing he left out was Lucas's ability to become one with stone. He could easily burrow into the museum with minor effort. But that would cause a bunch of noise. Maybe have as a backup plan if things go south? Regardless Lucas didn't wanna spend too much time mulling over the various possibilities and variables for a heist. He didn't want to over think and complicate things.

After looking over the plan he stumbled out of the room to retire for the night.

“Yea best to attack this when we are more aware,” Lucas replied, followed by a drunken chuckle. After leaving Spook seemed to be off on his own drunken adventure no doubt best to let him be for the night. Lucas could barely walk straight himself. He got into his room and collapsed onto the bed. His large body made the bed creak loudly. It wasn't long before he was sound asleep.

A few hours passed and Lucas snapped away. Droll running down the side of his face from sleeping so hard. After doing his morning rituals of cleaning up he noticed it was already noon. It was best to get some lunch and meet up with Spook. He retreated to the eating hall or room where individuals grabbed food. Lucas ordered a simple sandwich, turkey, cheese, mayo, and ketchup. He grabbed a bottle of water to re-hydrate after an intoxicated night. Thankfully he didn't get hangovers too often unless he went super ham. Which he knew better not to, especially in difficult times.

Lucas sat down on a bench with his food in hand. He began to chow down and it wasn't long before the toys of Spook found their way into his company. A toy soldier climbed the chair across from Lucas and hopped onto the table. Lucas stopped chewing his food as this toy made it's way to his view.

The toy snapped to attention and spoke, “Spook requests your presence on the deck.”

Lucas turned to the door to see some toys standing there waving. “Guess I am taking this to go then.” He said while grasping the sandwich in one hand and the water bottle in another. He left the plate behind for the grunts to clean up he wa,s done with it. Usually he would throw his own trash away but he was being called away suddenly. As he turned around he felt the toy climb up his back and sit on his shoulder. It was creepy at first but Lucas quickly adjusted. The toys on the ground led the way to where Spook was enjoying his own Lunch. It was a rather nice day and he looked as if he was jotting down some notes.

On the way there Lucas finished the rest of his sandwich and it wasn't long before a large shadow was casted over Spook. Lucas let the toy Solider climb back down and move over to Spook. The other toys surrounded their master waiting for their next command no doubt. “So about this heist, I assume we are using the cover of night? Or we doing a day operation? I have thoughts but I need you to go over what we talked about last night. My mind is a bit fuzzy.” After saying this Lucas pulled up a chair next to Spook so they could go over this heist.

Hmm, alright, alright.

Just as Spook was finishing up his interview with the toy, Lucas had joined him. Which was correctly timed, since he intended on sharing the details of his plan, and do it sober this time.

Oooh, yass.

Spook stood up, giving his notepad to Lucas. He pointed at it, gesturing Lucas to sit down and flip through it. It'd make some of explaining more visual if he held the right pages while he explained. The male clapped twice, gathering the attention of his toys.

Alright, you lot, make some epic background[1] noises as I explain

The world is a thousand years ago. Baltigo, humble, young, and flourishing with life. It's area was occupied by mankind. Young fighters find settlement in it's center; the small village that dared call itself Baltigo became a big village, and then became a city for many decades to come.

Spook placed his left boot on a table, pointed upward and continued his explanation, letting his usual bravado carry most of the speech.

On a certain eventful night, Baltigo found itself to be attacked by neighboring witches. These witches manipulated fire, deceiving the entire town by pretending to wish peace. They destroyed the entire city with fire!

A mishmash of screams for help caused the south west fire brigade to instantly dispatch with their sloop. But instead of firemen, what left the boat were six heroes that saved the town by blessing the cursed fire.

Spook lowered his arm, and took his boot off the table.

So that's the story. They made a nice wooden sloop eternally dedicating a part of their museum towards those heroes. Until, a shadow immersed from the floors and shrank the boat turning it completely gold in the process.

He sat back down, to hide his smile a little.

And like other paintings[2] you might have heard of, the Golden Sloop wasn't always the Golden Sloop; and it's worth a shit ton of money due to this 'defacing'.

He felt like he'd been dominating the conversation a little, and gave Lucas some time to reply and shit. By this point, the toys stopped their acapella and awaited their next order. Spook took a big gulp of his drink.

It seems like the usual, 'get hired, inside job', plan won't work. There's marine eyes on the Museum, primarily they do background checks on anyone who wants to work there.

There are a few ways we could do this, but it seems like most plans we either go gung-ho, or go silent. I think we're an ironic combo, since you go loud in order to effectively use your powers, and I remain silent. Perhaps we could hit the Museum like that?

It didn't really sound clear, but Spook had began cooking up a plan. A plan which involved Lucas being the decoy, while Spook went backstage and took the sloop.

First things first though, we should scout out the place more properly. Today, I suggest we trigger their alarm without putting ourselves in danger, in order to gauge how fast the marines will arrive, and with how many. Sound good?

Spook whistled towards his toys, this was their command to follow him. Whatever plan they had, they would have to leave the ship at one point. And they could still talk while moving towards the Museum. Spook left the boat most likely along with Lucas.

A
Heist?

Lucas placed his water bottle on the table as he looked at the Mastermind of this heist. ‘It’s nice being the 2nd wheel on a heist.’ He thought while grabbing the notebook from Spook. Lucas made sure to take his time going through each page. Each page had text and pictures detailing the properties of this heist. He could only assume that Spook was going to explain each page while Lucas followed. Spook started off spinning one yarn of a tale about Baltigo. A small history lesson before getting into the meat and potatoes of the heist. The toys made all sorts of noises as the story was being told. Spook wanted this to be as theatrical as possible, Lucas respected the notion. So he paid attention very closely like a small boy being told a bedtime story.

Lucas flipped the page, following along to the story being told. He had some thoughts but didn’t want to ruin the entertainment. It was a short story but ended on a high note. That high note being the object that was going to be stolen. Lucas gave a small clap in response to the story told. “Quite the riveting tale Spook, you should make a theater when you get tired of the life of a pirate.”

Then the plan came into frame. There were two options to all of this didn't mind either or. Lucas didn’t mind either given the powers they both possessed. Spook took into consideration Lucas could just strong arm the place with little to no problem. Or Spook could use the toys to infiltrate and lift the goods right under their noses. “I suppose so, it would be a good idea to use both of our powers to the best of our ability. I think we should hit it at night when the place is closed.” Lucas wanted the least amount of collateral damage possible. No need for unneeded civilian casualties.

Spook then put up a good point. It would be best to trigger the alarm and watch from a distance. Time the arrival of the marines. Also, it would be good to see who exactly showed up to defend the museum. Lucas figured he would have to hold off the group until Spook got away with the goods. “I think that would be the best option. I say let’s get to it.”

He got up and followed the exiting Spook.

The man had a thing for theatrics and bravado, and appreciated his crewmate who recognized his talent. Lucas happily agreed to his plan; suggesting that they hit the museum at night. That sounded pretty solid, thought Spook--less security, less fancy schmancy stuff required to make their way in.

Very well, off we go ~

Spook ordered a few toys to come with him, his three most powerful and combat ready ones.
name: mosdefrank: high emperor
name: nasrank: supervisor
name: kanyerank: apprentice
Normally, during their crime-fighting setting, they'd all wear matching uniforms. Not today though. Today was about tomfoolery, at least, the first part of the day. As the duo departed, Spook got a deja vu moment once they were on the ground. It started to come back to him, he had stolen two horses last night.

Well, I believe I have a correct travelling method for us, please follow me into the range.

Spook referred to the small children's park with two horses tied to a swing. He began giggling a little as he walked up to the pair. Untying them, he held the leash thing of a brown horse on his left, and a white one to his right.

Right, so the fella on my lefts name is 92 Subaru

And this guy is 05 Buick Lesabre. I found them on a track.

Spook nuzzled the Buick Lesabre, obviously signifying his crewmate he favored the white horse. Something about his name had him entranced. Plus, it'd feed his addiction of attention--white horses were way cooler.

Say Lucas, which car do you want to drive? I propose we swing by the Museum with these horses, throw a molotov in and see what happens.

First things first though.

It didn't take long for his fingers to find his bag of tobacco in his pants. He'd have some papers in the bag that he'd use in order to roll a spliff. While rolling, Spook wiggled slightly with his eyebrows.

No way I'm gonna do this sober. Can you get some fuel for our cars, some carrots perhaps?

Getting fire from a zippo was quite difficult during this windy weather. It didn't take long though, before the token was lit. Since Spook planned on putting on his helmet after getting on the horse. A spliff couldn't easily fit in there. Spook made it a race to inhale the spliff regardless of whether or not Lucas had dispatched to obtain carrots somehow. He'd whistle for his toy Mosdef. Who quickly replied by getting closer to Spook. "Yes, milord?"

While the toy came to Spooks side, he had already begun drawing the next piece of their plan. A simple drawing of a molotov turnt out to be pretty explanatory to anyone not aware of what a molotov cocktail is.

I need a rag, and a bottle of booze. Here's some money, take care of it.

Spook handed his toy some money, who dispatched to begun collecting those items. The warm native poncho he wore over his armor did it's duty by keeping this incident stealthy. Alternatively, they could let one person observe and one person hit the Museum, since they'd need to flee anyway. As soon as Lucas was within earshot again, he further elaborated on his plan.

Either I or you should hit the Museum, and have the other person observe.

The spliff had given him some additional insight.

A
Heist?

After exiting the ship it wouldn't be long before the two found themselves on the way to a park. Lucas was a bit lost to why the two were going off to the park. Regardless Lucas didn't think to bring his gear since this was going to be purely a recon mission at the start. If push comes to shove he could use the ability of his fruit given they were on the ground. It always made him feel uneasy being on the ship sometimes because if something popped off he didn't have much outside of his pistol for self-defense. The ground was way more comfortable for him given his strengths. Lucas followed Spook into the park only to see two horses hitched to a child's swing-set. Spook had begun to giggle a bit, which must have been at the idea of the two riding off towards their objective. He gave them odd names, names that would be given to technology from the sounds of it. Lucas did not question their modes of transportation just shook his head and approached calmly.

Spook nuzzled his horse, Buick. While Lucas just calmly rubbed his hand through the mane of Subaru. He watched Spook remove a small bag and began to roll a blunt. This adventure was stacking up to be quite the fun one.

“I do fancy Subaru, but don't you think riding in on these will draw too much attention? We are trying to be covert right?” Lucas questioned.

Lucas wasn't much of a horse rider, he preferred ships and technology as a means of transportation. Riding horses felt to olden days for him. Lucas didn't have much food for the horses. It would have been better for them to walk given the attention they were going to draw. Lucas continued to pet Subaru while waiting for a response on the matter. He was going to go with the flow but Lucas needed to be touching the ground regardless to get the quickest usage of his powers.

Spook called his toy to his side, awaiting orders. Spook drew up the next step of the plans. Things were certainly about to get very interesting. “I can observe you can use your toys to infiltrate. I can watch from the surrounding area very easily using my fruit.”

Nah, we'll park our cars nearby, and then find a safe location to watch from.

Spook explained, truth was, Lucas had a point--something Spook hadn't thought about; but, thanks to his lucky save where he pretends that it was a part of the plan, came to its rightful execution. Besides, it was a fair way away, like thirty minutes of regular walking. Anything around thirty minutes of walking Spook sought ways of avoiding. This was a nasty town anyway, you'd have to avoid pickpockets, hobo's that are in a gang, highwaymen during just a regular walk through Nil. Spook got on his horse anyway, he wouldn't mind if Lucas preferred to walk there.

Hmm, yeah, I could send a few toys in; thing is, they might not take them seriously.

The male explained while trying to find a comfortable position on the horse. Half the things said were just him thinking out loud.

I was thinking of throwing in a molotov anyway, perhaps I could let one of my toys throw in a molotov so they have to take them serious.

This was maybe the fifth time that Spook had driven a car. Too bad there was no radio on this thing, having his toys sing acapella while walking next to his car while they went downtown attracted too much attention even for Spooks liking. He treated this anonymous persona pretty seriously; it was made around the idea that the general populace saw him as an innocent drunk.

If they knew of his powers, he'd behave differently, he wouldn't drink--and this was the exact excuse Spook sold his mind, justifying his alcoholism. Nobody knows, so there's no need to stop drinking. Oddly enough, this brought more motivation to keep his powers a secret. Spook spanked the back off his Buick Lesabre. The Subaru would remain tied up unless Lucas decided to travel with a horse as well. They departed, with Spook having left his helm at the scene--ordering one toy to pick it up and bring it back to the ship. The other two toys were coming along with him, thus he decided to travel slowly for the toys to be able to follow them at a capable speed.

Mosdef and Nas remained by his side, Nas carrying the unprepared ingredients molotov. It was pretty crowded in Nil today. A large civilian boat had arrived, truth is, they were mostly merchants that came from different islands in order to finesse Baltigo's market.

Well, the Museum is up ahead about six blocks to our right, and then nine blocks to our front.

Spook explained, already ushering his horse to turn right. Truth was, what he said was a detour. He took this detour because his car needed gas. As he entered the fresh produce street market, he let his horse gallop for a bit. This created a slightly chaotic scene, with people rushing out of the way of the galloping horse. His Buick Lesabre had great traction control, under the hood this beast is refined with perfect balance and lightweight rotating components that execute near flawlessly at 48 mph. With no fear, the Buick Lesabre cut left and right, the horse causing enough chaos on the market for Spook to lean leftwards, and 'accidentally' grab a cabbage from a cart they 'narrowly' dodged. Had Spook been morally broken, he'd turn the cart man into a toy in order to obtain the entire cart. But he wasn't quite there yet. While smoothly rolling the cabbage to his other hand, he calmed down his horse with the hand the cart man could see. A slight nod of his head to the cart man, a completely unnecessary etiquette; but still done -- Spook didn't seek to trouble the simple civilians of this town. Not yet.

The car continued driving down the block, with the toys trying to catch up. At the end of the block, Spook fed the horse the cabbage, having filled the tank of his car, he'd continue onwards. It wouldn't take them long to arrive at the Museum. Across the Museum was a hotel, an impressive one.

We should get a room here. With a good view.

He'd tell Lucas. Regardless of his response, Spook parked his car near a hitching rail. Tied his Buick up, and continued back to Lucas. Spook ordered Mosdef and Nas to remain with his Buick until further notice. 'I need something to drink.' A scary thought popped up, leading Spook to try convince Lucas to get the penthouse.

I tell you what, I think a penthouse would do us good. Room delivery, we can do everything from the room in case we need to lay low.

There were drinks there, albeit expensive. Spook licked his lips.

Lets say we flip a coin, the loser foots the bill.

He'd wiggle with his brows at Lucas.

“I will travel through the ground, no need to put Subaru here in harm's way.”

Regardless if it was apart of the plan Spook took the situation into thought. Lucas was okay with it as long as they were careful. Spook wanted to be a bit extreme about the plan. Throwing a molotov would be one way to get the attention of the marines. He couldn't really complain with that idea. As long as no one got hurt in the process Lucas was okay with it.

“Just make sure no one gets torched in the process.”

Lucas gave one final rub across the horses side before he walked away from the horse. Spook climbed on his horse and was preparing to leave. Lucas slowly sank into the ground leaving his horse behind. He heard the words of his companion as he dipped into the ground. “Gotcha, no worries I will be here with you my friend.” Lucas replied as he was now completely one with the ground.

He pinged the ground using vibrations in the area to follow Spook right under him. He was actively being Spook's shadow. As spook moved it gave Lucas a idea of where he was going. Due to the horse have a distinct vibration with each step it was easy to follow without actually seeing above ground. As the horse began to gallop Lucas could tell people were moving out of the way to not get stepped on. Lucas was able to move through the ground like fishman through water following him.

Spook and the Buick were slowing down, almost to their destination. He parked his vehicle and disembarked. Lucas appeared out of the ground not too far from Spook. It was just in time to hear him speak. “It would be best to do so, that way we can size up the force.”

Then Spook put up a proposition that would prompt them to flip a coin to see who pays for their night in the hotel. “Wouldn't it just be easier to split the bill?” Lucas said being the voice of reason here. There was no reason for one of them to be in the hole before the heist even started. Lucas raised a eyebrow in response to Spook's wiggle.

“We are trying to make money remember?”

Lucas seemingly mended within the stone, Spook wondered if Lucas ever abused this powers to look up skirts. As they carried on, Lucas reappeared right by Spooks surroundings. Spook didn't witness the materialization, nor did he question the 'chance' of him randomingly seeing him. He agreed with him taking a hotel room to use as an observation angle. Sadly Lucas wasn't too intended on flipping a coin, they were going to split the bill the Dutch way.

Alright, alright, fine with me.

Spook went inside the hotel, presumably with Lucas at his side. He scanned the basic layout of the room for a moment, in case things went south and they were caught, the details of this room might become vital. He gave the receptionist a friendly smile and walked to a long rack with different sorts of pamphlets, featured at a side of the lobby. One of the pamphlets referred to the various types of rooms the hotel had. Spook began browsing through it, comparing the penthouse and some others. Luckily the pamphlet featured pictures of the room, highlighting the view most of the time. It wasn't the penthouse, but one suite tiered below the penthouse that had the best view of the busy street, and more specifically, the museum. Spook pressed his finger on the picture

We'll need this -bzzbzzbzzt-

And right then, Spooks iphone started ringing. The den den mushi in his pocket was getting called by their captain. While inaudible to Lucas, but perfectly audible to Spook, he received orders to regroup at the base, it was time for their other operation to initiate.

We need to go to the ship, captains orders.

Spook told Lucas, before leaving the hotel and making his way back to their ship, he certainly planned on returning as soon as they were done with their other tasks. Taking the toys and his car with him.

It seemed that Spook was on the same wavelength for paying the bill. Lucas was relieved that it didn't turn into a problem. He followed his cohort into the hotel. He leaned over and whispered, “Maybe we could just skip out on the bill anyway. We are pirates.” Hoping no one heard him which no one did. They both looked around the place, casing it. Lucas was looking for exits and possible guards just in case things did go south. There was no doubt in his mind Spook was doing the same. It seemed like a nice place with little to no trouble considering the island they were on. This could have been some neutral territory or maybe one of the gangs owned it. One could only guess at this point.

Lucas looked over Spooks shoulder as he went through the pamphlet. They didn't need a super luxurious room, just something to peep through. He nodded at Spook tapping the picture before the Den Den mushi began to ring. The small one that was given to them ages ago that acted as a direct line to the ship. Spook answered his first so there was no reason for Lucas to pick his up. Spook had a serious look on his face and he relayed the information. The time had come to the party.

“Aye.”

Lucas followed Spook back out and they proceeded towards the ship. Spook in his car and Lucas in the ground. Things were about to get dangerous.

[Exit To be continued.]
