"泥棒の間で栄誉"

It's the thrill in the end. In that moment when something stolen becomes mine or is it? That's the bliss I desire.

As the smell of gunpowder filled the air, Jackal's ears twitched at the sound of engagement in the distance. From the Crow's Nest, the Captain began to bark orders into the ship's Tone Dial Communication Con System, with a devilish grin strapped on his face. "As of now, I'm in full control of this vessel. Sinbad. You're my wings. Keep agile out there and be ready to make the slightest of moves at the Helm." Jackal stated. "Switch the flag from Diana's own to ours! Full-Steam ahead! Listen to me carefully, gather all of the rope from beneath the deck, tie our two main cannons to the right-side of the ship, and hoist ropes around your waists towards the main mast. Two men to each cannon. Each canon to the ship's railing. The others wait at the sails station and anchor stations until need be!" Jackal commanded. "Tie the cannons down? Why would we need to do that Jackal?" Sinbad inquired, chiming from Jackal's Baby Den Den Mushi. "You'll see in a few." Jackal responded grinning. Position about three hundred meters away, the massive Brig would've come into full sight of all of the parties involved.

Meanwhile, Celia's attempt of cannon-fire on the main marine vessel had failed, as the commanding officer aboard seemingly dispelled the rounds as if he was a magician in trade. Standing from the deck of her ship smirking, "Impressive." Celia thought to herself, the woman's vessel began to shake at the impact that can only be described as a rough current. Reaching for her sniper rifle, she'd been more focused on the marine who'd magically seemed to disarm her first rounds, but as the screams from below the deck indicated that her vessel, and along with the other neighbouring vessel from the six o' clock position was sinking. In the distance, Jackal was approaching from the four o' clock position, seemingly heading to join the formation of vessel that hadn't been attack as yet in the ring like formation. "Now's my chance..." Celia thought. Screaming at the top of her lungs, as all of the vessel's inched closer in the formation except those sinking towards twenty-five meters away. "Abandon these two vessels! Continue fire on the main Brigs from the other three ships! Those who are aboard sinking ships, the harpoons are still docked! Begin scaling now! I'll cover!" Celia shouted.

Scaling from her position on the deck to the peak of the bird's nest, the woman assembled her sniper rifle in a matter of seconds. The fire on Commander Sparks's vessel, who'd plunged into the water unbeknownst to the Revolutionaries, was beginning to take on water from the fire towards the Hull of the Brig being successful. Finally, Celia had the commanding officer in scope, the man who'd magically destroyed her opening rounds but alas, she'd avoided taking a headshot to snipe off the marines who were trying to cut the ropes of the docking Revolutionary Forces. The woman was a master of manipulating the battlefield, if the Marine had paid attention to her docking men, she'd scream, "OUR REINFORCEMENTS FROM THE SUPERNOVA - THE BANDIT KING IS UPON US!" Celia shouted, to not only add morale to the men but to inform the marines but what happened next would take both of the Revolutionaries and the Marines off-guard.

"Ready?" Jackal inquired ominously. "The Dials are pumped and ready for flight boss!" one of the grunts chimed in from the engine room. At about two-hundred and twenty five meters away, the vessel took flight sky-bound, it's ascension wasn't fast but it was a spectacle that caught the eye of everyone present. Once Jackal had obtained about fifty-meters in height, "Float West!" the Bandit King shouted as the vessel moved from it's hovering four o clock' position cycling around to the West of the Sparks vessel that had already been catching water, he'd notice this as he'd kept firm scopes on every ship's position, using his goggles with double as his binocular's, and eyes on the seas. "OPEN FIRE! Lean the ship diagonally from the right!" Jackal shouted. As the ship literally rotated along the perimeter in a clock hand like motion, Jackal circled into position, drifting the ship two meters inward to the 248 Meter mark. It'd be at that point that the grunts already prepping the canons during the whole process, firmly hoisted to the mast with the ropes that Jackal instructed them to garner, would literally lean suspended in mid-air, but using the ropes to mount themselves onto the deck once again. Due to the angle of the shot, The Pegasus rounds hand one target, and that was the main-mast. The first canon sounded, five rounds from the Junk Canon rocked onwards towards the mast, and the second canon sounded the same time, regular canon ammunition causing splatter damage on the deck of Spark's ship's.

Tons of possibilities could occur but the marines would've sustained heavy damage, and even if the ship didn't sink, it'd loose it's ability to sail, and if the mast fell, many a man could've lost their life from being crushed underneath the weight of the mast. However, now Jackal was in the open and return fire was likely, keeping his senses sharp with Kenbushoku Haki, he'd await the Marines response with a cheeky grin. "Retreat backwards at the same angle fifteen meters! Slowly!" Jackal barked finally. Meanwhile, Celia had the commanding officer once again in her scopes, once her men had docked successfully that is.

Commodore Drought

"This is madness..." The commodore would lowly whisper to himself as the situation he found himself in, he had only heard of such battle's happening at sea but never had he been in one himself and surely not as one of the commanding officers leading it against opposing forces. Suddenly a rough current under them started to bring the Commodore back into focus with slight worry for his rival Satoru as he was also underwater, gazing about at the situation he took notice of two enemy ships starting to sink into the water at a six o' clock position, but before he could think any further on the matter a marine from aboard his ship screamed, "Massive enemy ship approaching four o' clock!!!" The commodore looked up like most of the marine's on board to see a massive flying ship heading straight towards them and sucked on his teeth for a split second as he instantly knew they were not their allies in this fight.

Moments after he could see the women barking orders from afar while she had her body turn slightly towards the people on the sinking boats, The commodore then looked back at the massive flying ship that was now about two hundred and eighty-five meters away, he wish he had time to prepare for the massive ship heading his way but he could only focus one objective and right now the women and her ships were a huge problem he needed to try and deal with fast. There were still men trying to dock Spark's ship and he decided he would deal with them first before a proclamation disturbed his thought process, "OUR REINFORCEMENTS FROM THE SUPERNOVA - THE BANDIT KING IS UPON US!" Commodore's face grew grim at the words "Bandit King" as he was one of the most dangerous Supernova's currently on the sea's and he certainly didn't need him to add chaos to the situation, as much as he would like his shot at glory Drought knew this situation was far out of the hands of just him and his Rear Admiral with their men, Drought ran to the main mast that had a den mushi on it and started dialing the marine base not from their location before hearing a women say hello over the phone, "This is Commodore Drought reporting off the coast of Baltigo! As Rear Admiral Sparks second in command I'm reporting that his ship is under attack by revolutionaries force's and the combined might of the Supernova known as "Bandit King" and in need of immediate reinforcements!!" Commodore Drought only heard the women over the phone say request granted before hanging it up to put his full attention back on the scene

As he looked around his ship he saw quite a few marines looked rather scared or discourage as they looked at the massive ship from the sky approaching now knowing that no other then the Supernova Bandit King was manning the vessel, for the ones that lost hope he had to say something, "Let no man make you quake in you're Marine uniform!!! We've been prepared for this type of battle long before this day and fight for the justice of the world!!!! WE WILL NOT FAIL!!!!" Some marine's let out a loud roar of approval while others who had been hurt but not killed simply got back on their feet to continue, but the reality was quite different as once he stopped speaking the "Bandits King" ship had gotten within two hundred and fifty meters of theirs and from afar the Commodore watched as the ship leaned towards the west before cannons started to hurl at them, "EVERYONE GET DOWN!!"

Commodore Drought yelled out as canons made their way towards the ship, due to the angle of the shot the canons hit the main mast at a lower angle causing it to fall back while the place it was hit from slowly started to further break off from the ship, marines started to scatter about trying to avoid the large mass falling towards them but Commodore Drought after making that speech was not prepared to run now, the Commodore clad in both his fists with Busoshoku haki causing his fist to go black and jumped straight up towards the main mass that was slowly falling onto the ship and with both hands made a double handed palm strike upon the mass breaking it into two pieces down the middle, while one piece would fall onto the ship killing the few unlucky soldiers who couldn't move out of the way in time however the damage would be migrated with the mast broken into two, the Commodore was in front of the other piece that was now at a 130 degree angle pointing towards the enemies brig on the water.

The Commodore fists being heated to the utter limit as he proceeded to punch the broken main mast in front of him heaving it away piece by piece with raw power while the pieces that broke off caught on fire from the intense heat transfer as they started to fly through the air like shrapnel to the enemy brig upon the water, Commodore Drought specifically aimed for the enemies main mast while some of his shots were aimed below the brig's deck trying to sink it in his attempts to foil the enemies advance unfortunately he had only managed to punch the broken piece of the mast several times before falling back onto the ground  but it was then after the remaining pieces of the Sparks Brig mast fell that he noticed that the ship was considerably a lot closer to the water then they were supposed too, The commodore peered around the edge of the water to see the hull was nearly burnt through and they could fall into the water at any second.

The Commodore yelled out to the remaining man, "Abandon the ship! Everyone get onboard my ship!" The Commodore knew he needed to get the rest of the man out of the area, he then grabbed one of the men that were running close by, "I need you to shoot me out the cannon to get me over to the enemy side, once you do I want you to take my ship and get the hell out of here, me and the Rear Admiral can beat them from here!" The Commodore himself didn't believe his own words as he hadn't seen the Rear Admiral since the start of the fight but it didn't matter as he still had to do something, once they found and available canon the Commodore transferred his busoshoku haki from his hands to his head before being shot out of the cannon at a 50 degree angle, once he was shot out the Commodore begin heating up his whole body as he spun himself mid-air resulting in the friction and the heat causing his body to catch on fire, once he was four meters away from the ship he started to descend at an angle towards the center where he would crash into it with his headbutt creating a large hole in the deck where his intense heat would begin to cause the ship to catch on fire. He would be stuck on the enemy ship but in the timeslot, he did all this his men would have all gotten onto the other ship and began to sail away back to the marine base nearby.

Commodore Satoru POV

The main assault was successful, the submarine that Satoru had shot straight into the windows of got blown to bits while those inside perished from a watery death, the second submarine had taken a hit and the outer shell had been damaged and was beginning to depressurize while the final submarine had their propeller blown and was practically a sitting duck in the water but for some reason the ship that had been hit second stopped depressurizing, taking the pause in movements from both of the enemy vessels Satoru aimed at the ship with the non-functional propeller and was about to hit the button before suddenly a large water shaped form came at the other two marine's submarines and when they collided with it completely destroyed theirs, Satoru who was in slight shock pressed down on his fingers causing the mini-submarine to shoot its mini torpedo that was aiming at the center of their submarine.

On cue, an alarm was set off in Satoru's head and the world went black around him as he could see the other enemies through his Kenbonshoku haki, he could see one of the people on the submarine was looking towards his way and seemed to be holding onto the submarine at the same time, his senses were telling him he was in danger but he didn't try to head it as he knew this was probably the end, in preparation of his death Satoru closed his eyes and waited for it to come to him.

Rear Admiral Senior Sparks/ Commodore Satoru POV

The Rear Admiral had just suceeded in sinking the two enemy ships, however suddenly a rought underwater current pushed him about causing him confusion, he then activated his Kenbonshoku haki and looked around the water before spotting deeper down in the water two figures with one giving off the same energy as Satoru and a unknown enemy giving off a more hostile attack type of energy, Rear Admiral swam throught the water as fast as he could as he felt the attack was going to go off at any minute, as he got closer he clad his right hand in haki and with all his strength punched the top of the submarine craft the enemy was inside, his fist being strong enought to cause a hole to form within the shell before it was sent flying further down into the water, if the attacker had sent their attack off as the Rear Admiral predicted the trajectory of it would have misaimed.

Satoru who was waiting for his death suspicously opened his eyes only to see the Rear Admiral coming from above and hiting the enemy craft sending the attack he sensed off course and thanked god himself for his commanding officer, but from afar the Rear Admiral who had been heaving at two ships and now attacked a submarine deeper down into the water was at a lost of breath and was beginning to struggle as he tried to swim back up, Satoru who knew that he was a sitting duck quickly slammed down the open hatch button as he took a deep breath while his submarine started to fill with water, Commodore Satoru quickly swam out of his vechile before starting to swim at max speed towards the Rear Admiral and grabbed him before swimming straight towards the giant brig ship still above them where he would shoot right out onto the main deck and hope he chose the right ship to land on.

The last torpedo from Satoru's sub let fly, aimed at Dr. Hoden's radarcraft. He gave one last rallying command before his radarcraft was ripped to shreds, the crew inside being minced in the warped steel and water pressure. This battle had claimed a life of a genius. He had put everything on the line for the glory of the Revolutionary Army. Bearing the weight of their comrades ambition, the two radarcraft that had not been fired upon had made it to the Zeta Phi and had begun sawing their way through the outer hull. They did not know that they were now racing against the clock as the lowest floor of the large submarine was already half full and taking on water fast.

Gilbard had already punished the two marines on either side of Satoru, but as his last target came within reach, a single man had managed to dive all the way down to his position and attacked the radarcraft that he had come from. His arm turned black and he delivered a powerful blow to the top of the craft, smashing another hole in it. Gil had been focussed on the final marine escape pod, his first attack at it missing due to the rear admiral's attack pushing him down and away.

A surface dweller encroached on his domain. He must have witnessed the carnage created by the monsters born water. He bore witness, yet still he came. Heresy. Kappa's focus switched immediately to the new threat. He had dared to encroach on Kappa's judgement. This hubris would not go unpunished.

Firstly, the attack that had been aimed at Satoru had only been delayed, its target was the sub and although the pilot escaped, the craft itself was soon wrecked just like its siblings.

Next, Kappa weaved the water around Sparks into a condensed form. This particular kata stored the energy of the condensed water so that it may be released to create a force. Sparks would be surrounded by water that when released, would exert pressure from all sides, bruising and battering him with Kappa's full strength. Receiving a beating of that strength to the diaphragm would no doubt force him to let go of his breath. It would isolate him from the radarcraft. Disturbing this water would cause it to be realeased. He would quickly do the same to the newly emerged Satoru that dared to swim towards him.

Next, Kappa would wrap the radarcraft that Sparks had attacked in his Danker Domain water and gave it a push in the direction of the surface. It would be hit and miss as to whether the men inside would survive until they arrived but the fishman apostle cared little for these new friends.

All that would be left in the close viscinity were the two marines and the pirate. Kappa was now bent on inflicting harm upon these two brave soldiers who stood between him and the miracle cure. Massive water wyrms would be sent at them, striking at them without respite, not letting them move an inch.

"泥棒の間で栄誉"

It's the thrill in the end. In that moment when something stolen becomes mine or is it? That's the bliss I desire.

The damage had been done, from his floating ship, Jackal used his goggles binocular like lenses, watching the mass of the ship fall towards the adjacent enemy vessel. "Shishishi... Two birds with one stone-" Jackal stated, but his smug response was cut short by a naval officer who sprung into action, cutting the mast two chunks, one falling onto the deck, and the second being launched towards one of the Revolutionary vessels, little to Jackal's knowledge, that vessel was indeed the Commanding Officer Ceila's own. As the flaming shrapnel projectiles set aflame Ceila's mast, of the five vessels she'd entered into the conflict with, only three remained.

"Miss Celia! We've intercepted transmission from the enemy vessel! They just signalled for backup!" one of the revolutionary's from the ship's control room reported. At this stage, Sparks ship was unable to sail any longer, the mast had been damaged and the base of the deck had cause the mast to sink lower levels of the ship, the support infrastructure damage in Jackal's hailstorm from the skies. Before Ceila's forces could've regrouped the crashing sound of her deck being shattered, caused her ship to teeter from left to right from the impact. The gaping hole in her ship's deck centre caused the Revolutionary's eyes to expand widely in disbelief. However, though from Celia's position, she couldn't see how the enemy attack had been fired on her.

Moments before the impact on Celia's Ship, Jackal used his goggles to watch the enemy vessels carefully as they'd plan their next route of attack.

"What's next Jack!?"
Sinbad shouted over the intercom system.

Adjusting the goggles focus, "I don't know but... the marines commanding officer... Judging by his dress... Just climbed into a live canon." Jackal reported.

"Eh?" Sinbad inquired puzzled.

History had been written then much after that, Jackal watched as the man's cranium shone jet black, moments before he'd be launched like a human battering-ram towards one of the Revolutionaries vessels. Inspecting ship receiving fire, in the Crow's Nest, he'd see Celia perched with her sniper rifle, frozen in disbelief from the shock of the impact.

Back on Celia's vessel, the whole ship began to set ablaze. "I can't let her get burned alive... She's the only Revolutionary Contact I have at the moment. Sin. Get me closer to the flaming ship... I'll go save Celia and her men! Oi! Prepare rope to toss towards the Revolutionary Vessel. I'm docking!" Jackal commanded smirking. Shifting focus of his goggles once more, Jackal noticed that the other Brig that was left untouched was now retreating through the whole in the formation formed by the two outermost caravels being sunk. With no enemy ship's remaining, and the other slowly escaping, Jackal had to think on his feet.

"Sin. Can you anchor this thing to hover in one spot?" Jackal stated, as the ship closed in towards the Revolutionary's position from about two-hundred and forty-meters away.

"I guess. Why?" Sinbad retorted.

"Here's the plan. Drop onto Celia's ship.. It's the flaming one. Hover your ship over another one of the Revolutionary's Caravels. Leave the ship in flight, and board their caravel. Take command of the vessel, and chase the Brig that's trying to escape. I'll go save the Female Lesser Mink, and retreat to the other ship."
Jackal stated.

"That's risky plan Jackal. Leaving you aboard a vessel that's probably about to sink. Are you sure?"
Sinbad inquired.

"Shishishi... Don't worry about me... If need be, I can use my Bomu to escape to another vessel." Jackal retorted.

"Alright Capt'." Sinbad retorted.

In about ten minutes, finally gaining traction, the Pegasus was only about five meters away from flaming ship, hovering above it within moments. A single rope bridge would've been let down towards the deck, which Jackal would slide along, boarded the sinking ship. The situation on the ship was ground zero, personnel running to board another vessel, and Celia trying to maintain communications with the men who'd board the Brig that was now escaping. Jackal landed about ten meters from the crater created in the hole's deck, and inspected the surrounding area with his Kenbunshoku Haki.

Sinbad had remained at his height of fifty meters, beginning to move immediately after Jackal had landed safely. If not, he'd trust Jackal to handle the landed himself, progressing towards the other afloat caravel as instructed. Once that distance of fifty meters would've been covered, Sinbad would've set the ship on auto-hover, and scaled down onto the Revolutionaries other Caravel. "Look. I don't have much time. Lead me to your helm." Sinbad commanded. Immediately, the commandeered vessel would've begin pursuit of the fleeing Brig, whose image was beginning to be lost, due to the distance from the vessels.

Inspecting the area, Jackal would locate Celia's newest position, a level up on the staircase for the balcony that overlooks the deck thirty meters away from his position over his shoulder.

Commodore Drought

Commodore Drought who had launched himself from a canon on to the enemy's deck was now alone, he was just below the actual deck itself but due to the enormous heat coming off his body the surrounding area was on fire around him, he was nearly sure his exaggerated stunt caught the enemies attention giving his men and Sparks man precious moments to escape. The Commodore although alone jumped from his position onto the deck lowering his heat from burning to a steam that emanated from his body, the first thing he noticed was that none other than the famed Bandit King himself was now in his presence and surely he wasn't on his side in the matter, "Well well...What do I owe the pleasure of having the Bandit King in my presence? You have been on your ship this whole time passively doing damage so you being here towards the end makes me think there is something down here worth the risk of coming." The Commodore would wait a few moments for an answer but if there was none to be spoken of he would continue, "Well then, I'm not really in the mood to engage you and the women on deck and I think you would rather avoid running into marine reinforcements so how about you take what you came here for and go." Commodore Drought under other circumstances would have never proposed such an idea but he was both outmatched and on a sinking ship with no real way to escape, with this idea, he could at least tear a piece of the ship off and float adrift on it but any more damage to the vessel than he already caused would be troublesome.

Commodore Satoru/ Rear Admiral Sparks POV

Rear Admiral sparks was pleased he could stop the attacking enemy just in time to allow Satoru to escape from his vessel, he could see Satoru move towards him and he was just about to move towards his position as well holding what breath he had left in him, however before Satoru could reach him he felt the water around him suddenly started to squeeze him but though it may have only been in his head, sure enough the moment he moved the water took a violent turn and he felt as if the ocean itself was attacking him as it battered him with hits specifically pointed at his diaphragm that forced him to release the breath he had been saving while Satoru was also treated by the same attack as he completely stopped moving and looked like he was being attacked as well from the distance.

The Rear Admiral and his subordinate were in dire trouble, He felt light-headed due to the lack of air and the lingering pain from the beating his diaphragm took was nothing to snuff at, but regardless he was still the leading marine and those who followed him were in trouble and he couldn't just sit back and let fate take charge. While the enemy seemed to be doing something the admiral used Armament Haki turning both his hands black while pumping his muscle's in every aspect of his body to overcome the water effect that was restricting his movements, The Rear Admiral then began to spin that began to pick up speed, as he kept spinning the force of it would cause a underwater hurricane that would drag anything around him in a twenty meter radius towards him, the spinning effect of this move only made him feel that much worst but once Satoru who had been injured was caught by the underwater hurricane as well as the attacking enemy if he had been to close, the Rear Admiral would suddenly stop as he swung his fist straight up causing anything he caught to be forced upwards towards the surface leaving him behind, The Rear Admiral who had lost all breath at this moment would start to swim upwards as he felt his consciousness fade hoping he would reach the surface in time.

Commodore Satoru who had been temporary knocked out would take a deep breath as he made it back to the surface, he would take a quick look around before locating one of the enemies ships and holding onto their ropes while he took a moment to catch his breath.

Kappa
The monsterous beasts born of salt water rushed toward their prey. Just as they were about to feast, the marine exerted his supernatural strength. He had no technique in his manipulation like Kappa did, but he was able to brute force himself out of harms way enough to keep himself alive. Both of Kappa's targets began to make their way to the surface. At first, the fishman was filled with frustration. How dare he attempt to bend the sea to his will. A heratic with this sinful pride should be punished.

Over his shoulder came a creaking moan from the Zeta Phi. It was beginning to list. The revolutionary forces had finally cut their way into the hull and had begun streaming inside. They took out or captured any remaining personnel that happened to still be inside. The engineers began to look for the communications and the doctors began to look through the laboratories for any information on the miracle cure that they could obtain.

Kappa turned to observe the submarine. That was Gilbards goal. This is what he had come for. Was he really going to turn away from the path that had drove him away from the Conclave in the first place? No, that was unthinkable. Gil let go of his malice toward the marines and instead swam toward the Zeta Phi.

The large submarine was still taking on water and had filled up the lowest level completely at this point. Gil swam up into the water intake and into the submarine. Around him was the storage hold. Boxes and containers floated by. Food rations, materials and arms drifted aimlessly. He passed them, pushing the objects out of his way as he hunted for the ladder to the upper levels.

Pulling himself up from out of the slowly rising water level, he climbed up into the stale air of the Zeta Phi's next highest floor. The lamp dials embedded into the ceiling were flickering. The ship began to lean to the side and a little debris came floating through the corridor. He could hear the shouts of the Revolutionary Army making their way through the ship. Gil steadied himself. He needed to commit his conscious mind to this cause. He wouldn't forgive himself if nothing came of this opportunity.

With that last thought he took off, going room by room, searching for something that could resemble a laboratory. Some revs splashed around the corner and leveled their rifles at him before recognising his face. He was their ally in this assault but he was only here for himself. Hearing a groan from the next doorway along, Gil poked his head in. A body lay on a table, limp and lifeless. Strung up around the room were photos of close up body parts and sharp implements of various kinds. Yes, this looked like a good start. He slipped inside and closed the door, locking it behind him.

Swish swish. His footsteps pushed away the flooding as he neared the centerpiece of the room, the body. Like a carcass that was ready to undergo the butcher's knife, the body was splayed out with limbs at uncomfortable angles. The body was jet black. Was it decaying, or under some sort of necrotic disease? As Gil neared, he realised that the skin was scaled and the digits were webbed. This was a fishman, or what remained of one. A test subject for sure. Gilbard stood over it and stared down. Small raspy breaths and twitching from circulatory muscles, it was still alive. What had they done to it, Gil thought that he could possibly uncover something by retracing their experimental steps.

This black scaling, it was strangely beautiful. With silver markings that ran from the eyes and across the gils was rather vibrant, even if the body was in this undignified state. He pulled up the eyelids to check the pupils for response to light. Black eyes with a faint green hue stared back at him. Their focus was faded and slurred words escaped from its black lips. "Gilly, you've come to visit me again. You're so big..." Gilbard sharply inhaled from the surprise, tightening his grip on the test subject. This roughness shook the black fishman from their daze. The mellow peace was replaced with confusion and then anxious concern. "It's not time for my next test yet. Wait, you don't look like the other doctors. Who are you?" The voice came out weak, but noticeably feminine. Her gaze drifted in and out of focus as she wrestled with her own faculties to remain conscious.

Spoiler:
"Who- Do you know me?" Gil looked down, a little shaken. Calling him 'Gilly' was too much of a coincidence in a place like this. His eyes poured over her face while he searched through his memory like a ship's captain navigating through thick fog.

"泥棒の間で栄誉"

It's the thrill in the end. In that moment when something stolen becomes mine or is it? That's the bliss I desire.

Boarding the caravel, Sinbad went into quick pursuit of the Brig that was escaping towards the Open Sea. The speed of the caravel was indeed lighter in archetype, "Full Sails Ahead." Sinbad stated to the Revolutionary crew. After about ten minutes of travel, Sinbad was around three hundred and fifty meters away from the Brig, that'd been retreating at a slower pace due to it's share size. "Ready the canons in ten!" Sinbad shouted from the helm, commanded Celia's crew. It'd be moments like this that Sinbad's naval genius truly shined, the course he'd taken behind the Brig wasn't on either side of the vessel's flank, but on it's hind. "It'll happen in a moment's time. Just be ready to fire." Sinbad barked, as the thrill of the chase was getting him into the mood, the energy emitting from him similar to a tiger about to hunt it's prey. At this point, Sinbad and the escaping Brig had gone from view of Jackal and the other Marine forces sight. The distance was now one hundred and twenty meters at the hind, Sinbad's ship was moving at an alarming pace, picking up gale winds against the vessels sails that allowed them to be agile in their advance.

"There's three ways an enemy can sink a ship or stop it's escape." Sinbad thought to himself as he'd maintain a steady grip on the helm. "The first bet is taking out the sails. Generally, attacking from flank position is needed for accurate fire. In terms of firepower, our vessels are too vastly outmatched. It's a risk I could've taken with the Pegasus but we'd be a sitting target in water." Sinbad theorised to himself. "The other methods are taking out the Rudder or Damaging the Hull of a Vessel. However, some vessel are even able to move without a Rudder present but what's really useful about damaging the Rudder over the hull...." Sinbad concluded. At about eighty meters away, "I'll sail us along the 'Stem' of their vessel! Aim your cannons for their Rudder!" Sinbad shouted, spinning his own vessel Starboard, to align the canons towards the Rudder. The first round of canonball's sunk in the water, however, one of the canonball's managed to connected. "Ready the next round!" Sinbad shouted.

"Marine reinforcements... That'd surely be disadvantageous surely." Jackal stated snickering. Bending his legs, he'd spring backwards in one motion, arriving about centimetres next to Celia. Wrapping his hands around the woman's hips, Jackal would pick the Revolutionary off the ground, cradling her. "I came for the Lesser Mink. Nothing else. It'd rather not get into squabbles with you lot. I assume all of those medals on your jacket aren't for show." Jackal stated. "I will however... leave you with a parting gift." Jackal concluded, forming mucus in his mouth discretely. Spitting out three loogies, Jackal aimed towards the floor of the deck below, the marine wouldn't expect anything, in his eyes, the Mink had just been relieving himself of flem. The mucus bombs would've landed about eight meters from himself, who was a score away from Drought, and then the explosive range would've encapsulated an entire thirty-meter radius. Using the explosion as cover, Jackal would use smaller charges to blast off in mid-air, never releasing the rope-ladder that connected him to his flying-ship. Swinging on the ladder, Jackal hovered over the ship's whose deck was now collapsing from the explosion. "I wonder if Gilbard's almost done..." Jackal thought to himself.

"Put me down! I can't abandon my men-" Celia exclaimed, wiggling frantically in Jackal's arms. Using a swift jolt of Electro, the man paralysed the woman's body, "Relax. I'm saving your life." Jackal retorted. Using his Den Den Mushi to make connections, using his tail to dial, Jackal connected to the ship. "Send out a broadcast to Sinbad and the remaining Caravel. We're retreating now. They've sunk two of our vessels. Tell Sinbad he can retreat...Towards the Cove." Jackal concluded. Of course, not all escapes would've been smooth, had anyone approached or attacking Jackal as he'd swung in mid-air over the open sea, he'd keep track of anyone who'd pursue or harbour any intent to stop his tactical retreat.

Escaping Marine Vessel

Without either Commodore Drought nor Rear Admiral Sparks to lead their escape the only one in charge was the senior Captain by the name Vascu, as the crew worked about the ship to maintain a course of their marine base a sudden cry from high up top their sails alerted the crew, "Unknown enemy vessel approaching!" A single soldier made their way behind the captain with a pair of binocle glasses, the captain took it into his right hand as he began looking back to their previous position to see but a single Caraval ship that was fast approaching from about three hundred and fifty meters, "What do we do Captain Vascu?" The Captain lowered his hands and turned his head towards his man, "Maintain course Northwest towards the base, Have six of our man prepare the canons for combat, I want another seven to find all the 100% and higher liquor they can find on the ship and make sure each man has a match ready to fuse." Vascu said calmly to the fellow marine to maintain a state of calmness on the ship, "Yes Sir!"

Minutes went by with the Captains view of where he abandoned his commanding officers, their positioning becoming obscured from the unknown enemy vessel now being only but one hundred and twenty meters from their hind, it seemed due to the smaller ships size and the exceptional navigator commanding it that it was able to catch up to them so quickly. "Captain! You order have been carried out as expected and we await your next one's sir!"  His man from earlier barked at his return, "Have those manning the cannons....shift their weapons towards the approaching enemy ships sails, as for the ones with the 100% proof liquor....tell them to hide behind the wooden borders on the sides of me and when I give the order to throw that they are to aim around the deck of the ship."

More time passed and the enemy ship was now within clear regular eyesight with about eighty meters of distance between the two due to the captain's exceptional eyesight as Commodore Basara's right-hand man, the distance was far but he could slightly see how the enemy shift changed it's positioning and when he lined it up with theirs allowing him to notice they were now sailing along the Stem of his ship, most likely the enemy was planning to stop their movements but for what purpose he didn't know but it didn't matter. Getting this close to a Brig ship was a fool's gambit as they would be putting themselves in harms ways of their own defenses and what's more, that even if the enemy were to succeed it would only be a temporary victory as even as he thought about his situation more marines were heading to his location to aid them.

The Captain watched as the approaching vessel got closer, he could vaguely hear the familiar sound of cannon balls being loaded into their stations, "Sir! The men are ready to fire at your orders!" the soldier announced to his captain, "Tell them to hold fire for a second longer, let's have the enemy believe we will do nothing to them."  Right after he said that the Captain heard the sound of cannonball leaving its tank, however, it seemed to be miss properly aimed as it sunk right into the water, the captain waited before a second round came but this one caused the ship to shake as it connected to its target, "FIRE!" The Captain Ordered his man as six different shots of cannons were aimed at the vessel that was now sailing by them at sixty-eight meters, One had hit the mainsail near the top and another hitting near the base while a third one had only skimmed the left side of the Caraval, the rest had been miss aimed but that matter little to him as they had done their damage.

At this distance however his man would not have a clear shot to use their weapons, "Grab me my weapon!" He barked at any man willing to do so, when one came back he was holding a large slingshot black in design with yellow rings going down along it's middle, the whole thing being nearly one meter in length while the actual slingshot was thirty centimeters apart to allow a large shot range, "Light one up and give me the bottle!" He barked once more at the man hiding just beside him, one of his own lite their bottle and quickly handed it to their Captain as he began to coordinate the distance while pulling back the slingshot before releasing it aiming towards around the sails, a second and third man handed their bottles after lightning it  and the Captain aimed this duo towards the back of the ship where the navigator should have been guiding the vessel, the Captain had more shots but he would not do so at the moment if the damage was dealt.

Commodore Drought

It seemed that his proposal worked as it seemed neither wanted a battle as the ship's damage only increased due to his reckless attack, but shortly before he left he spit a type of mucus on to the floor, Commodore Drought eyes followed before suddenly he was caught utterly by surprise by a large explosion that although wasn't big enough to damage him to a major extent did manage to destroy the ship before he could find a way to escape it resulting in him being blown over the open sea and falling into it's depths and as a devil fruit user he was all but helpless to the seawater and quickly found himself in a dire situation.

Commodore Satoru and Rear Admiral Senior Sparks

Satoru had caught his breath, his body battered from the wound he sustained but not in dire need of care, now that he was calmer he looked around to find the Rear Admiral who put his life in harms way to save his own before he found him drifting along the water but his face was turned towards the water, Satoru being quite fast mentally and physical cut a large piece of wood from the damaged ship he was holding onto before holding it as he swam towards the Rear Admiral, he quickly turned him around so he could breathe as he slung his arms over the plank of wood as he began to beat on his back, it took a few moments but the Rear Admiral quickly vomited seawater as he took a sharp inhale of air to fill his lungs as he just slowly caught his breath.

However at that very moment their was a large explosion that made both of them turn their heads only for the Rear Admiral to whisper a name, "Dr..ought..!!" Commodore Satoru sucked his teeth, he didn't like the idea of saving his longtime rival but fate be damned if he let such an honorable man die a dogs death from not being able to save himself from the water, he quickly left the Rear Admiral behind and made his way towards Drought who had just landed in the water and was beginning to sink, the Commodore quickly diving into the water like any regular fishmen and moved at a quick speed snatching up Drought as he rose back to the surface, Commodore Drought still weakened by seawater but he was no longer threatened by death from drowning.

Just as he saved him Commodore Satoru heard the ringing of bells and looked towards the North to see that it was coming from an approaching marine vessel, he wasn't overjoyed that that battle was over but instead relished the thought he could perhaps take his afternoon nap at last in peace.

Kappa

Kappa
The air seemed to be sucked from his body as he stood over the black shape on the table. The pieces were starting to come together in his mind. They held each other's gaze and countless seconds passed. "How... How many years has passed?" The pitiful voice uttered with urgency. "Ten or fifteen, I don't know." He face scrunched up as he tried to put a face to those scraps of memory that existed in the days before his induction into the Conclave. Her eyes watered and she wimpered. "Is it really you, Gilly?" She struggled a little, attempting to lift her arm but she couldn't. That small emotional leak finally bound the pieces together. "Mother, how did you get here? Where have you been?" Her face scrunched up, tears now freely flowing down her black scaled face. "They found out that a pure blooded zebrafish fishman... I had to leave with them. I am so sorry that I couldn't stay with you."

Gil felt out of breath. She mentioned their species of fishman. Was there something more to their heritage? "They wanted you for, what?" He couldn't isolate any single reason why this situation should make sense. She shook her head. "They've been trying to get a secret that I don't have. The Miracle Cure..." She rubbed her finger against his. He held hers and she slowly guided his toward the centre of his chest. Her index finger planting itself in the centre of his sternum. Then the knot began to unravel itself in his mind. All along he had been wondering: 'why me?'. The fact that his birth mother was here and the thing that linked both of them was their biology. Was there really some 'secret' that was inside them? But she said that she didn't have this 'secret'.

The female fishman's head lulled back, her eyes rolling back into her skull. She panted, exhausted from this small exertion. Gil could tell just from looking at her that she was extremely weak. Scar tissue stretched across her surface, even to her cranium. What had the World Government done to her all these years? Just how long had she held on during this terrible treatment? He never thought that his drive to find the Cure could have lead him to such a terrible revelation.

"I'll get you out of here." Gil said, leaning down to pick her limp body up. Her eyelids fluttered open once more. "Please." She winced as he touched her. She was in great pain. "I'm so tired..." One last tear left her eye and she smiled. Every word was laborous, but the smile was worth a thousand of them. It spoke of pride, regret and concern. But most of all, it gave a radiant love.

Gil finally resigned himself to what was going to happen next. He stroked her forhead and moved behind her. She closed her eyes. Placing his hands on her neck, he gave a small twist, ending her life. Her being finally relaxed and her chest deflated, her last breath leaving her body.

The one last Noam was left there. Gilbard felt empty. Before today he had long since forgotten his life before the Conclave. His mother was simply someone who he used to know. Still, he couldn't explain the abnormal effect this event was having on his psyche. He just stood there looking down at her for a while. Some other silhouette came into the room. He walked up to her, the face of Feldip Dorwin, the medical scientist began gawking at the corpse. His mouth was moving, producing words that Gil did not hear. The boundryless curiosity that they both shared seemed repulsive in that moment. Gilbard shot him a glare, full black eyes drowning the human in a predatory aura.

Gil picked up the corpse and slowly left the room. Water sloshed around his knees at this point, the Zeta Phi would be sunk soon. He stumbled toward the lower level, heading toward the water intake that he had entered from. A nausea filled his body. But soon enough, he found him in the sea.

He swam down. Down. Down. Into the black deep. Back from whence he came. There he let her body go, drifting down into nothingness. A soft melody eminated from the void in return for his offering.

Ebb and flow, ebb and flow
Leave your troubles all behind
rejoice in your kinship
and your place in fishmankind

Ebb and flow, ebb and flow
within the rolling tide
shines a light that never wavers
the heart of fishman pride

Ebb and flow, ebb and flow
No matter what we face
we persevere and overcome
such is the fishman race

A familiar female voice. But Gil knew what this truly was. His ambition had driven him away from his faith. And in his time of highest distress, here he found himself in the deep once more. But this sign was stronger than any, that Kappa had not left him, despite his selfishness. She would find her way through the silver spray and he would honour the divine sacrament once more.

-----

Kappa rose through the sea. He shot upwards, pressing his arms toward the sky. Those on the surface would witness a massive draconic head erupt from the ocean surface, up to sixty metres into the air. A massive wyrm was shaped, blade like scales, whiskers, glinting eyes and large dripping teeth hovered over the pirates, revolutionaries and marines alike. A dull silver sheen covered the surface of the water, the jujutsu kata moving and morphing like an animated carving.
Spoiler:
The apostle roared, his spirit flaring. Kappa was swimming half way up the body of the wyrm. He contorted his body, pushing his arms outward. The wyrm roared with him and drew even more water from below. It split into ten heads of the same size and sent nine of them crashing into the revolutionary and marine boats below. The last one drew its head close to the still flying pirate ship. Kappa swam up its neck and into the pirate ship. The shaped water collapsed, sending waves from the massive body of water falling down.

He was ready to leave, he had no more stake in this battle. In the Zeta Phi, the infiltration team were completing their mission, finishing up with gathering whatever information they could glean from the World Government research vessel. From there, they would board their radarcraft once more and escape back to their secret base, leaving the Zeta Phi to its watery grave.

It's the thrill in the end. In that moment when something stolen becomes mine or is it? That's the bliss I desire.

OCC:

Whether it be by the grace of God, or simple miscalculation, the ship that Sinbad had been pursuing had opened fire, releasing rounds into the water at the sixty-eight meter mark, whereas, the Caravel was eighty meters away when the first initial shots had been sparked. The cannonballs would've sunk in open water, having nothing to contact or detonate on, giving Sinbad's first rally a successful attempt, their rudder had been shattered, and the ship's pace had decreased significantly. It'd be at that moment that Sinbad would've received a transmission from the Pegasus from the grunts placed in the control room.

Jackal's Message wrote:
Retreat towards the Cove. Cancel the pursuit.

Immediately, Sinbad would shift the helm of the ship, changing the course of the Vessel East Bound towards the Cove that they'd been hiding in initially. Sure, once the marines had fixed the rudder or received Sea Side assistance, the Brig would once again surely sail, but using the momentum of the speed he'd already picked up, Sinbad and the gang would've been long gone, and at most, they could've returned fire as the ship sailed away in the distance. From eighty meters away, to about one hundred and twenty-meters away and trailing. Jackal had been pulled aboard through the ship's bottom-dock by his men, shutting the dock's shutters behind him as he entered, he'd plop the Lesser Mink onto the ground, and regained control of the vessel through the use of his Den Den Mushi on his hand, sending out orders to the grunts Sinbad had left in-charge in the control room. Jackal's ship also retreated to the Cove, with no ship left to pursue them, and the other Brig gone for reinforcements, the Bandit King simply sailed through the skies towards the Cove, which was about 500 Meters away. It'd take Jackal lesser time to arrive than Sinbad with the newly acquired caravel, but by the time the marines had rescued their commanding officers, and regrouped, Jackal would've collected the Revolutionary's Caravel into the docking area of his Flying Ship, and ascended several thousand meters into the sky.

The docking process would've been simple. Upon arrival Jackal would've maintained the current height as previously stated above sea level. Jackal's arrival would've been timed with that of the marines fixing the Brig of the escaping vessel or receiving help from other forces as requested. About an hour after this incident, Sinbad would've arrived at the Cove, immediately, his ship would've been docked into the larger vessel of the Pegasus, which has housed much larger caravels before. Once the ship was aboard, the marines should've found some order in their squadrons but alas, the Cove would've been over five hundred meters away, and upon their arrival, the entire ship would've been out of range of canon-fire and sailing several thousand meters into the sky. A tactical retreat that played about the marines small forces, and disenfranchised troops, all based on a simple naval miscalculation. Once they'd been a safe height, Jackal would've retreated towards the skies above Baltigo, corresponding Gilbard's location and organising a rendezvous point.

"Damn it!" Celia shouted, banging her hands against the floors of the ship's vessel. She'd been trying for hours to communicate with the submarine forces but to no avail.

"I'm sorry to be the one to break this to you... and I'm sure I am the last one you want to hear it from but your men have probably been ousted by the marine forces." Jackal stated bluntly.

Lunging towards the Mink's position, Celia jammed her pistols against the skull of the Mink Captain, which angered a response in his men but was quelled by Jackal simple hand gestures, telling them to relax with a wave of his hand.

"Those are good men! What did they die for!? Where were you when we needed help!?" Celia shouted.

"I'll be no ones scapegoat. I agreed to help with the distraction not to put the lives of my men or my ship in danger. If anyones to blame, it was your naval malpractice.

Surrounding them with your numbers was surely the right play but you miscalculated the marines resources in their manpower. It certainly was an eye-opener on my end as well.

We've managed to salvage one of your ships of the five, and most of your men from the other vessels made it aboard Sinbad's ship. From the head count reported, you only lost 40% of your men. Smile. It could've been a lot more."
Jackal stated.

Celia sat in silence momentarily, Jackal's words had knocked the wind from her flight, and her wings slacked, dropping the pistols from her grip, and falling onto the floor.

"What a pill to swallow... Being scolded by a pirate... I'm ashamed of myself." Celia stated bitterly.

"I'm a Bandit, not a pirate. I haven't received word from Gilbard exactly what happened with the Miracle Cure but once he informs you, you'll be able to determine if this mission was worth it or not. As compensation, I'll be taking your Caravel and all of the canons on it. I can take you wherever you need to go, gather your thoughts and we'll go there. Of course, the deal stated you'll put in the word with the Revolutionaries for me. I kind of don't need that many enemies on my ass so early in my career. Shishishishi..." Jackal retorted.

"As for the favour I need... I'll save that for another time."
Jackal concluded grinning.

Exit.
