Birth of an Inking {G-Voyage} 0HHdFyS

Yiruzen would be punching his temple trying to remember last night. There was a drinking content...what else, what else?OH! He had some fun time with that waitress for a bit. Just a short fling nothing more. The footprints Yiruzen was leaving would be swept up and carried off back into the clear water. Yiruzen's soaked clothes and body armor would make him heavier. The walk on the beach was long and peaceful. There didn't seem to be any sort of people around the area. So that just left Yiruzen to his devices. The bar....oh how wonderful the bar was. The singing, the dancing. The cheerfulness that probably could be heard from blocks away. The moon in all its splendor. That night had little to no faults within, no one bothered him and he was able to drink until....until. What happened after that cup, did Yiruzen pass out? Was it even a cup, Yiruzen drank out of various things, cleavage included. But just the thought of him doing that made his face red. He was drunk out of his mind at that point, as anything after that was a blur.

Yiruzen's foot would catch a piece of wood that was lodged in the sand. But it was pretty buried, how long has it been here? Yiruzen would pick it up before looking up.....to notice an entire shipwrecked on the shore. The piece of wood seemed like nothing but a speck to the ship before the Revolutionary. The bit of wood would slip out of Yiruzen's hand, it would land on the floor before being picked up by the waves, out to sea. Yiruzen would inch his way towards the ship, the sun beating down on his damp hair. The sand being dry here would make crushing sounds with each and every step the young man took. He would make his way over to a gash that was in the ship's bottom...or well now the top. The ship was upside down, and "Nrghh!" Hot to the touch as well. Was the piece of wood from this? Wait, was Yiruzen aboard this ship? If so....how long was he out for? "GRUMBLE" Yiruzen would grasp his stomach as the pain of not eating would echo throughout his body. First thing's first before finding food....where the hell was he? He would enter the ship's hole and would fall face first onto more sand. This sand being damp though, why was that? Before Yiruzen could even finish his thought, a wave of water would come through more holes in the back of the ship. Flowing through and cascading onto the sand under the ship.

After wiping his face Yiruzen would turn his head to survey the ship where the grizzly sight of the member of the ship would be on full display. Chills would radiate on the back of Yiruzen's neck as he would jump back. His back would be against the wall of the ship. Rough breaths would follow suit, Yiruzen would try to calm himself. He's seen dead bodies before and he's even killed, but why did seeing on now cause such a reaction? Yiruzen would shake the thoughts out of his head. Right now he needed information. Information that would determine how he goes about his situation and how he would get himself out of it. Yiruzen would crawl towards what seemed to be crates albeit they were pretty beaten up, but for now, they were the best place to check. Ships usually had maps and where would he find a map in a wrecked ship? Well anywhere really, it was wrecked so things are bound to be in places where they shouldn't be. Yiruzen's rough hand would grasp onto the box and after barely touching it, the box would break into pieces. The contents within? Rotten apples, varying in color and sizes.

Yiruzen would stick his tongue out in disgust and would move onto the next box blowing air out his nose before attempting to pry it open. And to his disappointment, there was nothing within. Whether it was washed away and looted but someone already didn't matter. It was gone, and any chance for Yiruzen to find out where he was has gone up in smoke. Yiruzen would go into a squat type of sitting style letting out a deep breath. Looking up the light would hit the adjacent wall and seemed to poke through the minuscule ridges throughout the side. And after a bit of surveying, Yiruzen would notice that there was something stuck under the side of the ship. It seemed to be a sort of leather, and after a little bit of digging and a bit of careful tugging, the item was finally free. The item though would make Yiruzen smile from ear to ear, it was just what he was looking for. Or even better...the item in question was a leather map. A map showing....what...what even is this? It seemed to be an island....but it had edges? Yiruzen didn't understand at all. He didn't understand that he was on a special island. An island called by many as Skypiea.

The combined strength of the heat and the varying humidity in the area caused Yiruzen to sweat quite a bit as he hiked through the jungle. Using one of his katana's to cut his way through the thick plants, he would find himself hearing water. Which clearly excited him. He was thirsty, and he finally was able to find potential drinkable water. But Yiruzen didn't know the area, so being cautious was still vivid in his mind. He didn't want to walk onto a creature so strong he couldn't beat. Like maybe a giant crab with impenetrable armor. Yiruzen would wince just at the thought of that. Things like that only would appear in Yiruzen's dreams.

The shrubbery would part and Yiruzen would poke his head out, only slightly to see if he could spot someone or something. But after a few seconds of checking his bladder would begin to swell. Who knows how long it's been since Yiruzen took a piss. He would pull his head back and would turn around and would being to empty his bladder. But this piss seemed to last forever, like longer than a long piss would last. Yiruzen was actually starting to get worried that by the end of the piss that he would just drop dead from losing all the liquid in his body. But after finally stopping the stream of liquid waste he would bring his attention back to the source of water.

And now that Yiruzen got a good look at it, the sounds seemed to be coming from a waterfall, just a bit away. But right as Yiruzen was just about to come out of the bushes he heard some voices. Instantly freezing as he would overhear their conversation. "Baku'rah make sure to fill the jug to the top-put~put" Baku'rah would scoff, he was a younger looking guy while the older looking male seemed to be some sort of figure to him, maybe a father figure? "I know, I know BaBa. This isn't the first time I've done this-put~put" The older looking male would sign after putting a hand on what seemed to be his son's shoulder. "You know we have to do things right for the ritual tonight, Chieftess said that the Goddess demands a perfect ritual, or else...put~put"

The young Skypeian boy would pull the jug out the river before following his father into the bushes, disappearing within the greenery. But Yiruzen would notice something. They left something, and peering from afar they seemed to be some sort of fruits or could be veggies. Whatever it was, for the most part, they looked edible and that was all Yiruzen was looking for at the moment. Just something to fill his stomach and stop the aches. Yiruzen would come out from the bushes and would begin treating himself to the food present before him. After a few sweet objects, there was a really bitter one.

It didn't bother him too much, as after a few seconds the bitterness turns into saltiness. It was kinda of weird but unique in its own way. But while Yiruzen was sinking his teeth in another piece of what tasted like fruit the bushes would once again part, but out came the young boy. He had a really surprised look on his face and so did the boy, Yiruzen quickly put his index finger over his lips to insinuate the action of being quiet. The boy slowly nodded but it was one of those I'm scared for my life types of nods. He must have seen Yiruzen's swords and instantly became weary of him. "It's ok.....I won't hurt you." Yiruzen would pick up the basket of food and would hand it back to the boy who would quiver after taking the basket of food. "I'm trying to find my way out of here, can you help me?" The boy would remain quiet before immediately darting back into the bushes.

Yiruzen realizing the situation would exhale deeply before grabbing his neck coughing. He still had a bit of food in his throat so the exhale almost caused him to suffocate. After a few minutes of catching up, the boy would finally meet back up with his father as he was fishing. "What took you so long?-put~put" and after thinking for a moment the boy would reply calmly "Nothing Baba I was just playing with some squirrels-put~put" The father would squint his eyes before having his attention snagged by a tug on his line. Looks like he managed to reel himself some food!

The beautiful village of Nochakta(Pronounced as No-chak-ta) was bustling with life. The residents were moving agilely throughout their vibrant abode, but the village didn't usually look like this. Something was going on, something that pertained to a ritual of sorts. Colorful flowers littered the ground all around the village. Each and every color of the rainbow, displayed in the shape of flowers. It was complemented well with the Rainbow that seemed to forever loom over the village. You see, the village was carved into a mountain next to a waterfall. So the people of Nochakta would never have to worry about water.

It was honestly a great choice of a place to stay. It was hard for predators to just willingly walk around because of the dangers of falling off the edge. The edge was even a threat to the inhabitants, as there were a few tombstones near some of the huts. Must have been mostly kids, probably because as they are playing they aren't being too cautious of their surroundings. Which is why from afar Yiruzen was about to spot quite a bit adult keeping watch near the edges. There was a table where a few residents were playing a game.

Yiruzen wasn't going to pay too much attention to them though but it seemed pretty protective. And after watching one of the reactions of one of the people that seemed to lose Yiruzen couldn't help but smirk. The Hutts were also colored in all the colors of the rainbow, and depending on their color flowers of the same color would be around it. Logically speaking the best thing for Yiruzen to do would be to just walk up and just ask them for directions, but what if they were violent? Usually, Yiruzen would be all in for confrontation, but he was in unfamiliar territory. So he didn't want to make a decision and regret it later on.

So Yiruzen was going to sit back and watch from afar until he knows he could actually communicate with these people. Or better yet he could find that boy he saw earlier. He didn't seem too dangerous so he would be a good person to speak to. Maybe he could put in a good word for Yiruzen? Having one of their own speak good about someone else must be a clearance pass of sorts right? Yiruzen would currently be in a tree far off from the village. Making sure to hide well so he wouldn't be seen easily.

There were a lot of things Yiruzen didn't like in this world, and sitting around just doing nothing was one of them. Boredom would seem deeper and deeper into Yiruzen's conscience. So much so that the Revolutionary would begin to imagine scenarios about his encounter with these people. Currently, Yiruzen could only see the situation going 3 ways: He meets them and they are kind people and welcome him, He meets them and he attacks and successfully kill them, or He meets them and they slaughter him. Oh! Yiruzen didn't even think of the idea that they could be cannibals.

Yiruzen would rub his chin, but the people Yiruzen saw before were eating fruits and veggies. So they couldn't really be cannibals unless they enjoyed including other things with their "meat". Yiruzen would be yanked from his thought train as he felt something hit him. He would look around until something else hit him. Looking down Yiruzen would spot the kid and would jump down from the tree and would land next to the kid. He would take Yiruzen over to the bush and would squat him down in a bush. This is just what Yiruzen was waiting for!

"Mister what are you doing here! You aren't supposed to be in this area.-put~put" The little boy put his hands over his head in fear of what could happen to his village if the "Goddess" finds him here. But to Yiruzen the boy looked as if Yiruzen was about to hit him. Which was weird, kids his age shouldn't be lookings like this, they should be brave, infinite energy having monsters. Or was Yiruzen applying some sort of stereotype that he grew up with? In any case, Yiruzen would pat the little one's head. He wanted to make sure to let the kid know he meant no harm in being here, and that he himself was of no threat to the village....right now per say. Yiruzeon's feet would be together and his swords as always would be stuck on him like glue. "Listen kid, I don't mean no harm ya know? I'm just here to find out where I am."

The kid would look up and would gaze into Yiruzen's eyes before looking down at what looked like a cloth in his pocket. Without even asking Yiruzen for it he would snatch it and would begin looking over it. "Mister....the map says Skypeia. Wait, where did you even get this map from? It looks old.-put~put" The kid would smile from cheek to cheek, as he was a novice navigator and just the sight of a map excited him. Yiruzen would snatch the map back from the kid and would look over it himself. And to the young Samurai's eyes, it looked like a simple...leather....map. But after getting a serious look at it, the map did seem, what was the word, unfinished? There were mostly just names of places with symbols under them. Nothing really mapped out. Yiruzen understood that he was in a jungle, but there was this spot on the map that was completely blank. Maybe that is where he was?

Yiruzen would sigh, simply at the fact that he was clueless about where he was. And it wasn't even entirely his fault...ok maybe Yiruzen wasn't innocent but he didn't expect to end up here.....But he did jump on a ship whose Captain says that he will go anywhere and everywhere and that no one can stop him. That should have been a red flag, but at the time Yiruzen was wasted wasn't much he could do then. Yiruzen would smirk thinking as the chain of thoughts would go through his mind. Yiruzen would be shocked back to reality though, as he would feel someone kicking his leg, and looking down it was the kid trying to get his attention. "What, what do you want kid?"  The kid would pout once more this time with his cheeks inflated to add to the pout look he had going on. "Your attention span is really small huh Mister?-put~put" Yiruzen would stop to think, this whole time Yiruzen has been calling this kid by what he was and not by his name.

Birth of an Inking {G-Voyage} Lk7RXZH

So to get to know the squirt a bit better he would put his hand under his chin and would say his name. "Yiruzen" The kid would raise one of his eyebrows and would retort. "What?-put~put" Yiruzen would groan as the fact that he was doing this. But since this kid could be the saving grace he needed to get out of here in one piece he was going to take advantage of the situation and would get try to get on this kid's good side. "My name is Yiruzen, what's your kid?" The kid was surprised at first that Yiruzen asked this, as this was the first time the kid ever spoke to someone outside of the village, and from the stories the chief told he was curious about them. "My name is Baku'rah, but everyone but my Baba calls me Baku." The kid seemed happy to have his name, as he would smile right after saying it. Names must be important in this village. But what else was important about this village?
