The day before - Stretching the metal fragments into strings
The next day at around six in the morning the sun would refract through Louise window and slowly start to raise upon her check before slowly increasing in size to spread across her sleeping face, and06:57:22 once fully engulfed in the sunlight her consciousness would penetrate into the morning of life. Stretching out her arms and fingers as much as could while releasing a beautiful yawn greeting the world. Opening “Awwww, morning and what a great one at that, the sun's blooming, not a cloud in sight and….. *Sniffs* “I smell breakfast” a sweet aroma had reached up from the kitchen downstairs and glided into her nostrils along with several other marines in her dormarity and as such the quiet pleasure of the morning awakening would be overturned with the sound of scuffling marines slowly getting out of bed and making their way into the breakfast lounge. Louise would quickly get dressed into her no sleeved marine uniform before opening her singular window as to allow the air to freshly flow throughout her room, she didn't exactly want her space to spell of friend meat all day nor for any amount of damp to settle in.
After grabbing her breakfast along with the downing of four glasses strawberry milkshakes she would make her way to he workstation supplied by the admiral by whose name she did know the name; space was located in an old barrack scheduled to be torn down and rebuilt within the coming months. There wasn’t anything wrong with the location at all Clean, Tidy, decent working stations and even a filled warehouse located beneath her specific room; saying this it wasn’t exactly up to code for top marine standards. After her recent success in proving her worth and capabilities to be stationed within the grand line she was given the option of a training scheme selection and as such she picked creation. It was a rare sight to have a fresh bodied recruit let alone one who had shown promise both in her current activities but in her past life to pick such a training scheme over say Target Practice, Ship management or other highly sought-after skills that other ensigns would take up.
With this in mind and knowing the full details of Louise’s passed Rear Admiral Tiffany Spoke had decided to fully support Louise in this training scheme; Tiffany Spoke was a white, tall 6ft 3 woman with long brown hair that waved side to side as if it was always windy. Her face was covered in scars and burn marks from past experiments she personally had conducted. Highly respected and often invested her time in individuals with promise and that's exactly what Louise was offering; in her past, she had created many things for her village, unique sturdy and reliable while Louise had forgotten everything she created, and the development of such skills had left her mind entirely. Rear Admiral Tiffany had the believe if she could accomplish such things before she not only could but would complete such things again and this time she had the benefit of being molded by the marines educational support.
Before work began in her space the day before she was required to present her concept to Tiffany Spoke in order to be allocated the materials for the work and as such Louise pitched the concept of an exoskeleton suit and what she dreamed it would do in the future, however, Louise was no fool she did understand such a feet was within her current mechanical reach and that she needed to start small and pitched a simple prototype glove which very simplistic functionality to work on currently. Tiffany liked the concept and would give significant insight to improve the design along with certain methods of creation that Louise needed to learn; specifically the stretching of metal into a string and wrapping them around each other. Louise would listen carefully and with a rigorous amount of attention not being distracted for a moment, after all, she loved learning about how things worked. Tiffany would explain that while the idea of an exoskeleton was cute and potentially a very strong invention no one was going walk around wearing a suit of armor its heavy, slow and generally the negatives outweigh the pros; this is where the stretching string came into it things. Not only could the stretching string make the martial more clothe like in nature but stronger as a whole…….
7.00am current time
Louise would arrive at her location after having enjoyed her delicious lunch; full of energy and joy she simply wanted to get straight into the thick of things, nearly all of her sheets had happened to the appropriate fragments and the required tools for stretching had already been placed into the space one hour before; however for the time being Louise was alone those assigned to aid her in this process were not scheduled to show for another three hours and as such she would begin. She would begin by quickly reading the instructs on how to actually stretch the metal, she knew how as she was told the day before yesterday but wanted to make sure everything was correct.
Heat a single fragment to 300c using the provided furnace to your right, wearing the protective gear: Note if you do not wear the protective gear not only will you lose your privileges but I will hurt you… Once heated and glowing red lace the fragment within the two clamps and being turning the wheel This will slowly stretch out the Metal, make sure you regularly hammer the sides to prevent flattening. Throw water to cool it off before starting on the next piece Once you have five strings worth, wrap them around each other in order to create a secure and reliable strong for the creation of the glove. On completion of re-reading the instructions, she would instantly put on the full attire of protective gear, and placed each fragment side by side, for easy access. Using 1 handler to place the first fragment into the furnish, smarks fly back almost instantly as the sound of simmering flames would begin to echo into the room. Every 10 seconds Louise would check for the glowing red to signify the fragment had reached the correct temperature. The first 10 fragments would end up melting or breaking due to missing the sweet spot of the 300c and as such Louise needed to pay more attention and pay closer attention to the specific shade of red to avoid falling, with every attempt she would drill the imaginary into her mind of the colour red and how the slight change in tone indicated the quality. On her 17th attempt, she would manage to successfully pull a fragment from the furnace and would begin the stretching method.
