"泥棒の間で栄誉"

It's the thrill in the end. In that moment when something stolen becomes mine or is it? That's the bliss I desire.

The Devil's Elixir - Sandy island/Alabasta thread - Page 4 La9hRZE

"When Jin whispered to the court about a Mink who he'd spared during the last incident in this Palace... I was completely against it." Ra shouted, revealing his position behind a large mountain of treasure, about ten meters away from Jackal. Ra was a tall man, and he stood upright, carrying an majestic air around him, about eight feet in height, and weighing nearly two hundred pounds, mostly stripped in muscle. His long flowing waist length hair would be pinned up in a bun, as he'd carried his bow in his left hand, which he'd been shooting with since his time as a youth. On his back was a quiver, carrying a variety of arrows, mostly poisonous ones but about three other types that could've been used in combat to gain tremendous advantage over the unwary. "Oh. And what would've you had him do to me?" Jackal inquired. Stopping about eight meters away, Ra would smile, pointing to the belt around his waste. It was a dingy little thing, a belt made out of fur, which was what appeared to be from a feline. However, after Jackal inspected the buckle, the face that peered back at him and the scent his nose subtly picked up on, all pointed to one thing, the animal fur present had belonged to a Mink.

"I'm only going to ask you this once... Lesser Mink. Is that a Mink's skin your wearing around your waist?" Jackal inquired, as his grin expanded wider, not in amusement but frustration. "Lesser?" Ra scowled, breaking into an angry expression momentarily. "Why... yes... Yes it is. I'm of Royal Status. What I didn't garner in bloodline from my useless parents... I made up for in my skills as the top archer in the Kingdom." Ra stated, returning to a more nonchalant demeanour. "I didn't ask about you life story. And I've gotten my answer." Jackal responded, clenching his fist in anger. "I'll just ask one more thing... What did you do with my fellow Minksman's body?" Jackal inquired. "Well... He made a fine stew." Ra concluded, with an expression less face before breaking into a arrogant grin. "Fucking Lesser Minks... Your carnivorous in nature too. As if your greed as Lesser Mink knew no bounds." Jackal stated frowning, generalising all humans. "Don't get so wounded up... It's not all 'Lesser Mink'. Just me. My status gained me the ability to do whatever I want... Women... Money... A nice house... even exotic dishes. I gained it all with this bow and this arrow. And it's humans... Mink. We're not lesser in anyway to your kind!" Ra concluded scowling.

For the first time in years, Jackal's heart accelerated at a rapid pace, he'd never felt so angry before in his life. Probably when he was first kidnapped, and again when he'd been struck by his former masters for the first time but this time was different, it'd be what all the books he stole and read would've pointed to in fairytales, 'Seeing Blood Red.' Taking a deep breath, Jackal inhaled, filling his lungs. He'd learned a long time ago that being emotional got you killed, and quickly too. Returning to his usual grin, he'd default back to the mind games, he was so good at. "What I'm learning about you then is... Your just the Crown's Bitch. No Royal Blood... No charm to marry well... Looking at your coat, I'd understand why a female would reject you Lesser Mink." Jackal stated. "But what I've truly learned about you is... Your the worse kind of slave yet. One who does exactly what his master says without instructions... Congrats. Now go and fuck yourself." Jackal said, extending his index finger in as a taunt.

As the nerves in Ra's face tensed up, Ra leaped backwards clutching onto his bow tightly, averting to the right, to avoid the pillar of gold. Almost instantly, he'd clutch his right hand towards the quiver on his back, clutching onto the feathery end of one of his arrows. This feather was blue, and as such, all the following blue arrows would have the same effect. Jackal noticing the man's need to create distance, would've usually use this as a chance to escape but not today. Today, he'd have to retrieve his kinsman's coat, and burry it so he'd pass onto The Jungle In The Sky, as per Mink belief's among the Cat Tribe. The moment the man would've leaped backwards, Jackal would enter into a dash, trailing the man's position. After Jackal's stride had gotten him at least two meters out to Ra's former position, at Jackal's next step that Ra would fire off the first shot. The arrow came beaming towards Jackal's right leg, however, at this range, and speed, Jackal's Kenbunshoku Haki allowed him to see the projectile coming. Swaying to the left by a few inches, Jackal avoided the arrow to his thigh. However, what happened next caught him off guard. "Your Kenbunshoku is still weak... Mink." Ra thought. As the arrow made impact with the ground, a bright beam of light enveloped a five meter radius. Knowing that the flash was coming and having his Kenbunshoku Haki active, Ra had already closed his eyes from the time the arrow was fired. Jackal hadn't paid attention to enough details about the man's actions and mannerisms, as he'd usually do before entering into combat, and this time, it'd cost him.

As stated, the flash went off, blinding Jackal, causing him to by reflex, attempt to close his eyes from the flashes glare. It'd be at the exact moment that with his Mind's Eye, Jackal noticed the man's retreat had ended, and taking proper footing, two purple feathery arrows came flying towards Jackal's shoulder blade and left leg thigh. At this point, the arrows were literally three feet away, at the last moment, Jackal would've put up an electrical dome around his body attempting to shatter the arrows shafts, but he'd only manage to chip the one going towards his leg, the other arrow impaled the man's shoulder blade, pushing into the ground, raking against the floor's marble surface, two meters, crashing into the former pillar of treasure Ra had been hiding behind. Upon impact, the mountain of treasure, coins and heirlooms alike collapsed, burying the Jackal beneath in a sea of fortune.

At this point, the Bandits Jackal had infiltrated with at each position were engaged by the Royal Guard, with Bazil's stride stopped by Tut's Son, the guards used this halt in the assault to regroup. Jackal's men at the gate were overwhelmed by the increasing reinforcements from the city, and the ones remaining in the castle who'd been escorting the courts nobles to safety. The new influx of guards divided into two points, Jackal's position inside the Treasury and Bazil's point in the Throne Room. Of the fifty men Jackal had came with, twenty remained alive, the five he'd came into the room with dead, the former Bandit Kings alike, an arrow through each of their headd, caught off guard from Ra's covert assault. However, the Bandits he'd left outside the cell remained alive, and had no knowledge of what was going on in the Treasury Room.

Mala was fast, very fast, while his father general Tut was blessed with immense size and power, his son may as well have been a dwarf before him. But when it came to speed, the young boy was unmatched, able to quickly and accurately manipulate his spear in ways that would amaze even the most skilled of spearman. He danced elegantly around the demon known as Bazil, rapidly deploying one strike after another, though the ones that did make contact could be considered light, they were many. Where his father specialized in breaking those that stood before him, either with his kings haki or brute force. Mala used a more subtle approach, coating his spear blade in a slow acting nerve toxin that would leave the target in a paralyzed state after to much exposure.

“For a worthless pirate you aren’t so bad!” Mala yelled as he sent a swift jab to Bazil’s throat, which he managed to dodge by mere inches. The jab though, quickly turned into a sweeping motion, the blade arcing in a half circle in front of Mala, forcing Bazil back about three meters to dodge it, though the tip of the blade managed to cut his chest, allowing a little bit more toxin to enter his blood stream. The more he was cut the faster it would take affect. Realizing there was a tingling sensation in his every time he was cut, Bazil knew something was off about this boy’s blade. Though he would have no idea how serious it truly was, if was cut to many times the toxin could begin to slow his heart to a stop by paralyzing the muscles.

“For a girl you aint half fuckin bad.” Bazil remarked, turning his left arm into an arming sword, a double edged blade popular among knights. His wrist forming the crossguard. Looking down at the weapon Bazil thought to himself, that’s one.

Mala halted his attacks the minute he was referred to as a girl, his face turning bright red in anger, “I’m a fucking boy you piece of shit!” He screamed, wildly lunging for the red haired pirate in a fit of rage, forgoing his normally elegant fighting style to attack like a wild beast. Side stepping the anger filled attack, Bazil managed to slash the young man’s stomach as he went by. The wound wasn’t all that deep, a bit of blood spilled onto the floor and some could be seen on the pirates bladed arm. Mala clutched the wound, his hand filling up with crimson liquid. “Seems like even a dog can get lucky sometimes.” Smirking as he said it, the boy wiped his hand off onto his already red clothing and refocused his grip on the spear, once again reclaiming his calm demeanor. Springing off his back foot, Mala quickly closed the gap between the two, using his spear he aimed at the pirate’s legs with a sweep. Bazil, jumping out of the was he was able to dodge it. However as he did, Mala let go of his spear and send a swift palm thrust at the pirates abdomen. Knocking him back several meters, where the pirate ended up flat on his back.

Lying there for only a few seconds, it felt like hours to Bazil, only once before had he been so easily pushed away. First was the general that he had come across in the streets earlier that day, now this pint sized tranny of a fighter had knocked him on his back like nothing. Mala approached the pirate and held his spear to the mans throat. Blood leaking from the pirate’s mouth from the internal bleeding. His movements were slowing due to the nerve toxin spreading, leaving him with around ten minutes before complete paralysis due to his height and weight. The toxin used was that of a snake only found on Alabasta, one that if it bit you you wouldn’t die from that alone, usually succumbing to the ruthless environment as the victim would be left unable to move or fend for themselves. Though with enough exposure it could potentially stop the victims heart, so if Bazil could survive this battle without being afflicted by too many more wounds. He should survive.

“A rabid dog like you needs to be put down.” Mala tone was triumphant as he spoke, signaling the win that he thought he had in the bag. Both he and pirate could hear the noises of reinforcements gathering from the city and flooding into the palace. Gunshots echoed through the halls, the screams of their targets soon followed, in a short time they would be upon the pair. “You hear that? Now truly all hope if lost for you.” The royal boy spoke once again, “That’s the sound of whoever you came with meeting their demise against the marines and royal soldiers of Alabasta. The nerve you pirates must have thinking you could take on the entire military might of this great nation all by yourselves.” Pausing in his speech for a moment to gaze into the demons eyes, “Not a drop of remorse either, you really must have no concept of your own mortality. Truly a sad sight you are, a rabid dog with no master.” The footsteps of the marines growing ever closer, Mala stood over the pirate spear in hand ready to deliver the final strike at any moment. “Admit it.” He said sternly. “Admit that you slaughtered my kinsmen.” He said removing the blade from his neck and began to circle him, convinced that his toxin had taken its hold completely. As he circled the pirate he began assaulting him with slurs and remarks, demeaning the bounty that he held saying that a fight like this just too easy for someone as magnificent as himself. Bazil all the while just laid their smiling up the golden marble ceiling that was above them, Mala, who was no once again standing over the pirate in spot. He stood between Bazil and the door to the kings room just as he had before, this time though his spear was at his side. Mala being as skilled as he is at such a young age he developed a certain quirk, a cockiness that made him feel superior to those he fought, which led to him playing with his opponents more than one should. Looking down at the smiling demon in front of him he began to lose his cool, “I said fucking admit it!” Sending a spear thrust right into the mans left leg, the top half the blade now sheathed in the pirates flesh. Pulling it out he began twirling the spear over his shoulder and behind his back, flicking the flood that was on the blood all over the room.

Smiling, Bazil lifted his head and locked his gaze with that of the young boy of royal blood, “I’ve killed so many fuckin pigs, I can’t recall.” He said with his devilish grin in full force, his eyes now looking at the cannon barrel he had for a right leg, the end of which was just a mere inches from Mala’s abdomen, who had noticed to late to dodge effectively, the cannon’s roar echoed in the large hall, the force of the cannon flung Mala into the door of the throne room, knocking it ajar. Struggling to get to his fee, The nerve toxin slowly spreading, now around three minutes before he could no longer move his body. He limped across the room, his left leg having already succumbed to paralysis from the large amount that was left when he was stabbed. Approaching Mala, he could see the boy still barely lived, the metal cannon ball now lodged into his lower torso, essentially replacing his stomach and intestines. Blood flowed out onto the floor, leaning down once he was next to him Bazil whispered into his ear, “Slaughtering your piece of shit family has been the most fun I’ve had in ages.”

Standing back up, he continued into the throne room, he was greeted by the remaining fifteen royal guardsmen and the king, who sat upon the thrown, wearing his crown and robes. This was the lion’s den, the last obstacle Bazil had before he could take the throne, the pike man pointed their spears while the other guards readied their swords and shields. Two men with rifles stood on either side of the king, taking aim at the demon in the doorway. As Bazil entered his palms spit flames from them, engulfing the front line of shield holders and spreading to the pike man behind them. The blaze continued, the marble and gold room essentially becoming an oven, as they contained the fire the throne room the men who caught fire desperately tried to douse themselves, some tried throwing themselves to the ground, others just ran around screaming. The front line of thirteen men all now lay burning on the ground, the rifleman that stood by the kind held, whether they were to afraid to fire or the distance was too great to get an accurate shot off through the chaos, was known only to them. The throne room itself was about twenty meters deep from the door Bazil had come in from, the king sat in a large golden chair with red cushions. He wore a purple cloak with white spotted duck feathers as the trim, held together by a golden scorpion broach, he wore long perfectly white robes underneath. Alabsta’s golden crown atop his bald head, rubies encrusted into the sides. His greying bread was decorated with accents of various stones and valuable metals, reaching down to hit chest. Fattened from his wealth, this man was not his younger brother Tut, the man who should have been born first. No, the king was the reason this country was such a shithole, having embraced his position from an early age. Beating the children of the servants during games, owning his first slave at the age five so he had someone to best at all the activities his younger brother Tut excelled at. Where Tut was not only smart he was blessed with the immense size and the potential for greatness. Where as his elder brother Solomon was a lazy worthless snake who only got to where he is due to having been born three minutes earlier. Fraternal twins they were called, one being blessed with the position of a king and the other the disposition of a king. Growing up it quickly became apparent that Tut was the more talented one, finishing at the top of everything he attempted, whether it be studies or athletics, even learning advanced military tactics at a very young age. While the then first royal prince Solomon spent his days abusing his power to get ahead, for when he actually did attempt something he would fail miserably. When the previous king grew old and ill the court had split, half of them siding with the royal prince Solomon as he had the birth rite to the throne. While the other half formed a faction under the belief the General Tut, who at this point their lives had already proven himself more than capable on the battlefield time and again, believe he was more suited to rule the kingdom of Alabasta. This lead to the rift between the twins to grow even more so than it already was, the two of them never caring for each other’s company anyway. Solomon the envious and Tut the prideful, their ideals clashed over everything from ruling to the best way to cook an egg. Tut enjoying a good omelet and Solomon preferring his ‘favorite way’, as he had never actually cooked it before he had no idea how he actually enjoyed it.

Bazil made his way across the red carpet road that lead to the king, parts of it smoldering from the burning corpses, the flames slowly dying as they ran out of flammable materials to grow with. He could feel his body beginning to get stiffer by the second, the toxin finally had him in its grasp, his movements would be completely stolen in less than two minutes now. Using the last of his power and the shock created by his fear inducing flame assault, he turned his right index finger into a revolver barrel and using his marksmanship fired two shots at the guards who were now about thirteen meters away. Though as soon as he raised his hand the one on the left pulled the trigger on his rifle at the same time, hitting Bazil in the left shoulder. While the pirate’s bullets took out the one on the right who was still frozen with a round to the forehead, with the one on the left managing to move just enough to where he survived a shot in eye but went to the ground writhing in agony. Dragging his left leg behind him as it was completely numb, the pirate closed the gap between himself and the king, his finger still I the form of a pistols barrel, he pointed it at the portly excuse for a king.

“Hey there porky.” Bazil mocked the king, laughing maliciously. “Got any last words? Any bullshit like that?”

“First you take one of my sons and now you come for me, my worthless brother has abandoned me and left the island.” Solomon began to speak, “My last request as a king is-…” Bang, a gunshot rang out midsentence, blood began to trickle down the king’s face. The impatient demon ending the conversation before it even began, showing that he truly did not have even a shred of mercy in him. Reaching out with his right arm he took the kings crown and placed it on his head, it hung off at an odd angle as the kings head was much larger than his own. Noticing the cloak that he wore, the Bazil unclipped and slung it over his own shoulders as his own coat had been lost in the fray earlier. Grabbing the dead kings shoulder he shoved him off the throne and onto the floor in front of it and replaced him on the seat. Using his right arm, as his left was rendered immobile from the bullet and toxins, he propped up his head on his cheek before he lost the ability to move it and used the dead kings corpse as a foot rest, truly resembling lucifer on his demonic throne. His movement all but robbed from him, marines stormed into the throne room, greeted with the smell of burning human flesh and the scene of a demon with his ass firmly planted on the golden throne. Taking aim the marine’s readied their rifles, about thirty in total flooded the room.

The large group split like the red sea as a man of higher ranking made his way through to the front, “I am marine captain Alexis T. Strongarm and I will be the one taking credit for executing the man known as the Warhead.” Said the man, he as a tall slender man with blonde hair and an air of nobility about him, not a speck of dirty of blood on any of his clothes, while the clothes of his unit bore the signs of a great victory. “Any last words pirate?”

Bazil smiled the biggest smile he could, realizing that this was where he met his end. With the toxin to the point all he could move was his head and his powers drained to absolute zero, the demon pirate would be defiant to the very end, never once showing any signs of fear. He began to laugh maliciously, his blood started to boil, the devils rage was now fully unleashed, “Come and fucking get me you piece of shit pig fuckers!” He screamed at the top of his lungs, releasing every bit of energy he had left, subconsciously activating a dormant power, his bloodlust extended through the room becoming a seemingly almost tangible blue wave that exploded from the pirate. Forcing the entire marine unit, including their pampered captain to bend the knee to their new 'king'. Forcibly knocking them unconscious, the act of which also rendered Bazil unconscious as well, leaving anyone who would come upon this scene to see only a demonic king being worshipped by his subjects as he sat casually on the throne.

Bazil was now at the mercy of whoever found him, as he was left in just as helpless of a state as the marines.

Chapter 11, part 3: Shedding light on the situation

The Devil's Elixir - Sandy island/Alabasta thread - Page 4 J1uHwhx

Lina felt the tension momentarily leave her body as her haki subsided. The auras around her subsided, fizzling out like a dying flame. She stood among the wreckage, left a little perplexed by the silence. What was once a warzone was replaced by a silence louder than any gun shot. She lightly floated back to the splintered concrete beneath her feet to find the lab she just trashed. The lights flickered and was accentuated by an incessant hum. The swordsman looked about notice just how much blood was actually laid strewn on the floor after stepping over the cipher woman's corpse. To her left she approached a darkened room, to find a redhead sitting in a corner in a fetal position.

Although she was calm with red puffy eyes and steady breathing. It was as if she was accepting what she believed was coming to her. Lina's eyes peered toward the side to see corpses ripped apart and dissected. Some of them she recognized like wolfychan, who died with a grisly muzzle wrapped around her snout and a look of agony plastered on her face already hardened by rigor mortis. The floor was littered with corpses with varying degrees of transformation, with fur being kicked up with just the slightest step in the area. The swordswoman looked down upon the red head and lifted her up by the collar, gritting her teeth with a low growl. " What is this"?

The woman's face was full of fear when the real threat of death suddenly presented itself. The red head sniffled and said, " It--it--we called it the devil's elixir because it was made from the devil fruits". Lina pulled out a journal she kept in her cloak, the one which she brought from Water 7. She reviewed the notes and brought up the page to the red head. She nodded and said, " These were early tests, that only affected the user's muscles---. The girl pointed toward the fruit situated on a counter, half dead and somewhat deflated in appearance. " We extracted the juices from these fruit like the one on Water 7 n were able to inject the primary genes within it into people. This fruit made the user--- ". Lina jerked for a second and said, " Made them look like wolves"? The red head had tears in her eyes, but she managed to nod while huffing and puffing.

Lina said, " This elixir hurt my friend and the people I considered my people for a time...". The little swordswoman let the red head go and approached the fruit, holding it within her grasp. She peered at it long and hard, placing her other hand on the other side to create a pincer between the two objects. The urge to take a bite as she had before was strong, though not out of curiosity. Rather she wanted dot devour it for its power. That is until she realized how much harm it caused others...unlike last time. Lina put it back down and headed toward the other side of the room.A sigh of relief escaped the red head, who had lifted one arm meekly toward the fruit before slumping back to a depressed state of being.

Lina left the room and made sure there was nothing left to glean in there. " Do you happen to know of the whereabouts of the princess red head"? The woman looked up, but didn't respond. Lina had found a system of den dens that was placed in front of a barren wall, with a dozen knobs, gizmos, and gadgets. " Do you know what this is for?", she asked while poking around at the array of den dens. " Patcheeni was a commanding officer on the island. He had an emergency psa system in here as well, that would broadcast his image to the rest of the island".

The Devil's Elixir - Sandy island/Alabasta thread - Page 4 WPntfaB

She turned to give the girl an incredulous look and said, " what about my fir---never mind. You know how to work this thing and will it work like that other guy's announcement"? The red head looked up and said, " probably like his, but I don't know. I'll fire it up for you". The red head sat at a table and pointed toward the wall where a den den the size of a small dog with big bulbous eyes stared outward. "Okay so I can get it to work,
what are you going to use it for
"? Lina grinned and turned it toward the lab, which made the red head slightly nervous, as sweat and a look of absolute shock overcame her for a second. "I'm going to show everyone this mess Red head and declare war on the world if need be". The red head slammed her palms into the table and stood with a frown, "I'm not helping you with that you psycho. You can go around killing without conscience but leave me out of you pirate"!

Lina shot her a deathly glare and said, " Everyone needs to know what the government was willing to kill to cover up. Turn it on or you'll join the others". The red head sat back down and through of running when she noticed a knife hovering in the peripheral of her eye. " If you saw the knife, just do as I say". The red head nodded and awaited whatever Lina was planning. The sound of corpses being dragged out could be heard, with the smell of disturbed feces filling the air. The red head looked in wonder as Lina dragged the bloodied corpses like it was nothing. " Alright turn it on and lets see if it works", Lina said while standing upright.

The snail started to sputter and gears in its shell started to turn. Lights on the den den confirmed it was still operating, showing the bloodied and battered girl's image to the rest of the island. Citizens from Rain base, Alubarna, and Nanoha saw the woman standing among a mess of corpses. Many shuttered, others looked away in shock. The marine armies ignored her for the most part as they marched toward the King's castle now with smoke billowing into the air. Her image was broadcasted in pubs, homes, public squares, docks and anywhere where the government installed projectors for the master den den.

Lina was silent as first, with her injuries bare for all to see and her breathing labored. She turned away from the camera and left everyone dumbfounded. When she emerged from the dark room with but a flickering light with sparks flying was a half dead Devil fruit. Many looked upon its slow rythmic beating and light blue exterior. " Citizens of Sandy isle...what you see here is a devil fruit. From it was made a serum that made people stronger and turned them into monsters". She dropped the fruit, which had a vaguely human sound of flesh being torn, as it splattered with black and blue ooze all over the floor.

Lina bent down to pick up the corpse of a poor soul permanently disfigured by the drug. His sharp teeth and bloodied fur was unmistakable, it looked like a half transformed werewolf. " This is a victim of the elixir, whose life meant nothing to the world government. They use their influence to cover up their nefarious schemes and bring death to their citizens for god knows why...".

The Devil's Elixir - Sandy island/Alabasta thread - Page 4 SkazDdi
Lina dropped the corpse and took a deep breath. Though her body burned metaphorically and her mind started to go blank, her brows furrowed as she pointed at the projector den den. " I ASK YOU CITIZENS OF ALUBARNA, IS YOUR LIFE WORTH LESS THAN JUSTICE? WOULD YOU SEE YOUR FAMILIES DESTROYED BY A GOVERNMENT WHO PLAYS WITH YOUR LIVES LIKE CATTLE? OR WILL YOU RISE UP AGAINST THEM AND TAKE BACK YOUR FREEDOM"? Though she is usually a meek girl who never raises her voice, this time she couldn't help it. She huffed and puffed in agony and said, " I don't know...if anyone will believe me...nor will I expect you to. It's easier to let them tell you what's just and to live by their rules....but when there's no one to stand against them and they're dragging your loved ones", she said with a pause. Her body burning with fatigue at this point. "to their doom. Remember my warning. Live as cattle or as human beings, the choice is yours. BUT AS FOR ME, I will destroy the government and a complicit world..if I have to".

The girl approached the den den and with but a click of a switch, the broadcast ended and she was slouched on the table in pain. The red head said, " There's something I gotta ask ya". Lina's head rose a bit and she looked into the other woman's eyes and gestured for her to go on. " Why"? Lina shrugged and said, "They hurt my friend and I wanted to make them pay...though I don't know if my message will get through to anyone". Lina walked toward the window, with a clouded head and fatigue assaulting her at every step of the way. She peered out to see the palace across the way with a towering stack of smoke rising into the air. " Probably that red haired freak", she said with a chuckle. The red head girl scoffed at her and looked away. " Oh this was a different freak"...

There was a slow clapping from the entrance of the lab. Standing in the doorway were two familiar faces, both in tears. " Poopsy woopsy kins, is that really you"? said the woman, who was joined by the man she was clinging to, " Little one...what have you done"?

Little did lina know, there were many who were moved by her words. Seeing the beasts brought to life caused a spark throughout the island. The showing of the wolves gave people the courage to say they've seen it too. It gave others a spark of curiousity, to seek it out and find out if it was just special effects or a performance. The mere outburst gave those who knew of the elixir or have seen it ravage their own families started to speak up. At the same time many stood with thier government and didn't say a word. What started off as an uproar in the streets turned into isolated street brawls. The citizens split in half and the marines unmoved even by the actual proof presented before them. They were close and closing in on the three pirates.

"泥棒の間で栄誉"

It's the thrill in the end. In that moment when something stolen becomes mine or is it? That's the bliss I desire.

"The King always used to tell us... 'The Crown Comes After The People' but his actions never added up. Consumed by his own desires, he'd have his way with my mother even after I came into existence as his bastard son." Ra stated, an arrow perched towards the pile of gold that Jackal was now buried about six feet beneath. Using his Kenbunshoku Haki, Ra had pin pointed the man's exact position, eight meters away, submerged in a tomb of sceptres, coins, heirlooms and more gold trinkets that the crown had collected over the centuries. The mountain was so colossal, that even at his position, gold had submerged his own feet, almost like wearing thick boots shoreside along a beach, his ankles became submerged in the Crown's greed. A waiting game, Ra would wait until Jackal's oxygen beneath the gold expired, whatever angle he'd emerge from and whatever speed it might be, with his zoned in Perception and Haki, it'd be almost impossible for Jackal to escape. Underneath the gold, Jackal had used the bag of treasure he'd collected, which contained Pluton's manual to act as a place-holder, creating more room beneath the gold to construct a burrow like structure. The arrow pressed against the bow's nocking point, had a purple feather attached, a venomous intent, geared towards Jackal's heart.

"You should be feeling the effects of the poison now... Mink. The venom comes from the most poisonous scorpion on Sandy. It has five stages they say, first, it's the sweats. You're body begins to heat up as if you'd been submerged in a body of coals. Next, headaches that make it feel as if your brain was about to explode. Vomiting. Nausea. Within the thirtieth minute, your nervous system begins to shutdown." Ra explained. "It's been about fifteen minutes since you'd been struck, it's only a matter of time." Ra concluded. As much as Ra knew where Jackal was, with Helios's own Haki, he'd pinpointed that archers position to eight meters away, using his Kenbunshoku Haki to pay attention to the man's facial expressions, manner of breathing, body gestures and paced breathing, which almost seemed mechanical. Much like Ra said, Jackal was starting to feel the effects of the poison, his clothes and fur were drenched in sweat, his tattered breathing became more constant and the first signs of a migraine had came into effect, which would've just been a headache if it wasn't for the stimulus of the blinding arrow. Jackal's eyes were disoriented from the flash grenade tactic, and Jackal had actually used his time submerge beneath the gold to not regain functionality of his eyes.

Controlling his breathing once more, Jackal centred himself due to the words from Big S during their last encounter. "The less calm you are... the Less effective Kenbunshoku Haki is. He predicted my movements almost perfectly... I'm assuming he can use Ken too." Jackal thought to himself, recalling a paraphrased version of the woman's tutorial on Haki. "Meaning... In comparison his 'Observation' is either much more superior than mine or he's attacking in much more calm state. Even now, I guess against Lesser Minks... my movements are still a bit rigid. In comparison to Jin, overall, this man... Ra is superior in a lot of ways." Jackal continued his train of thought. "Think! How can I win against an opponent whose stronger than me!?" Jackal thought feverishly. Jackal's mind flashback to a conversation he'd have years back with his mentor, Jewels at the time. A smirk filled the Jackal's face, as the woman's words rung even more true now than then.

Jewels wrote:

'What do you think a fight is about Jackal? Morales? Courage? Speed? Strength? The answer is this. It's all about who use their surroundings better.

Strength means nothing if you don't have the right footing to capitalise on it. Speed is useless on terrain that obstructs movement. Morality looses to those who would do anything to win.

There's no right or wrong action in a fight. Most of the time... We guess our way through a battle, hoping that our morales and our strength is enough. Yes, your fast. Yes, your strikes aren't the strongest. However, using your mind... a well position flame will always burn more embers than gigantic burst.

Speed. Morales. Courage. Strength. A fight is a trail where all of these things come into play. The one thing you and your opponent almost never have control over... it's the elements that be.'

Covering his body in subtle coat of electricity, almost as close as a skin tight cloak, Jackal had remembered a line from a book he'd read about precious metals, just months before he'd been liberated from slavery. Every spark of electricity streaming off Jackal's body, became in synchronisation with his Mind's Eye, similar to the actions of a boxer shadow boxing, to practice his rhythm, the thin veil of electricity flickered like discharge from an exposed wire. Once again, Jackal would pay immense attention to Ra's position which hadn't wavered, his arm still clutched backwards holding the arrow in place, to the point that his finger tips bled from being gripped so tightly against the arrow's nock for almost twenty minutes now. Trailing from his upper body, down to his waist, to his ankles, Jackal paid attention to ever nuance of the man's biology. When every his muscles would shake from the strain of maintaining the stance, Jackal would notice a slight shake in the man's shoulders. Both Mink and Human were on a timer, Ra's grip was weakening and with Jackal unable to reduce his oxygen consumption, it'd be literally seconds before he'd need to surface for air. "Concentrate. Concentrate." Jackal thought to himself, chiming out his body's worldly desires and for one moment, exactly ten seconds to be exact, Jackal's focus was holistically on Ra. Just at the moment his shoulders shook, Jackal flattened his electrical dome's shape, thin like a mat, extending it out at Tertiary Speeds, covering a ten meter radius enveloping the gold treasures. Due to the conductive properties of the gold, it'd be the equivalent of sticking your hand into a bed of live wires.

Ra's ankles were paralysed from the discharge, as the electricity surged through his feet, extending through his legs, to his waist to his mid-section and then, eventually, his shoulders. It was that exact moment, Jackal gathered force in his legs, jumping skywards with immense force. Ra seeing the action coming, was unable to moving his arms from the quoted position but panicked from the electrical shock, his Kenbunshoku Haki temporarily disabled. As Jackal cracked the surface, the arrow was released but due to a lost of grip, the arrow stopped short meters before it even met Helios. Now, fifteen feet above the ground, Jackal exhaled, wheezing in the largest breath of air he could've possible mustered. Conductivity of the gold, left Ra frozen in a bed of electricity, it was if he was trapped in a sea of charged wires. Using his shear willpower force movement, Ra leapt sky bound as well, freeing himself from the gold, but his legs ankles and feet were damaged moderately and swollen. The pain made him wince but it didn't stop him from obtaining another arrow from his quiver, this one having a yellow feather at it's end. "FUCKING MINK!" Ra shouted in frustration, aiming his arrow towards the sea of gold. The arrow glowed a bright green colour and as it left the bow, upon impact a large explosion blasted the sea of gold apart, creating a crater from which Ra could land on, shock free.

However, while Ra was more concerned with his landing's safety, Jackal suspended in mid-air, had finally regained natural breathing patterns, or as normal as it could've been due to the effects of the poison. Releasing his dome once again, Jackal expanded it in his usual dome like fashion, reaching the complete fifteen meter radius within seconds. Descending from his leap, Jackal's feet had already touched down on what remained of the bed of gold. Pushing off the gold, Jackal closed the distance between him and Ra in an instant, head-butting the man directly on his forehead. The force of Jackal's head-butt broke Ra's stance, which Jackal followed up with grabbing onto his shoulders and attempting to slam his knees in the man's face. Ra countered the attack by covering his head in a black metallic colour, which Jackal was unfamiliar with, but it was if he'd been slamming his knees into an armour. Keeping his electrical dome intact, and delivering two Electro Strikes in his head-butt and knee thrust, the two men stared each other breathing heavily, with only two feet between them. Ra had a giant 'goofy' on his forehead, and a fractured nose which bled, violently. Jackal's body temperature had far surpassed fever levels, and his vision was becoming blurry from the intensity of the migraine. Paralysed from the electricity, Ra dropped his bow, unable to move.

Ripping Ra's prized Mink belt from around his waist, Jackal strapped the Wrestling Title fashion belt over his shoulder. Jackal turned his back away from the man, walking over gingerly to his stolen bag of goodies. "Shishshi... Did you know... Gold is highly conductive to electricity." Jackal stated, as walked away, finally making it to the bag which contained various heirlooms and most importantly, the instructional manual to Pluton. Once he'd strapped the gold around his right shoulder, using his trademark polkadot scarf, Jackal would walk back towards Ra once more. "Rilalala...." Ra bellowed out in amusement with an awkward pained laugh. "Now what... Don't leave me like this Mink. Losing to you is a disgrace to my name and the Crown. Take my life. Much like I skinned that Cat Mink I skinned for begging us!" Ra shouted, slurring on his words from the electricity convulsing the nerves in his jaw. Just then, the room behind the wall to the East of the Treasury Room, shook form a loud explosion. Ra's face looking panicked, he'd forcefully turn his jaw in the direction of the explosion, "The King!" Ra shouted, looking towards the room. At this point, Jackal expanded his Kenbunshoku Haki, thirty meters in the direction of the wall, looking pass the wall, to see the Red Haired Mohawk Man, mere feet away from the King, in what he could only describe as a Throne Room. "Shishishi... I guess it'd make sense for the Throne Room and The Treasury to be connected. That's how Ra got in here without us knowing. Bazil's going after monarchy again... Dude's crazy" Jackal said, talking to himself nodding his head in disbelief. Looking back at Ra, "Now... What will I do with you?" Jackal inquired, grinning as he'd begin his pick pocketing routine on the mannequin posed Royal Guard. Within moment, Jackal had found a small vial with a green serum in it.

"No way you'd be carrying around such a lethal poison and didn't have the cure on ya." Jackal stated grinning. "Though if I'm being honest, I located it when I was submerge beneath the gold. All of your hidden weapons like that dagger and this veil... it was like if I had X-Ray vision or whatever." Jackal stated. Popping the cork, Jackal would drink the green gunk, knowing that it was the cure, based on the way Ra's emotions started to fluctuate from Jackal's insinuation. Jackal's Kenbunshoku Haki had never been this sharp, it'd be like the man's emotional stated was like a scent his nose would've made out habitually. "This Mantra thing might be more useful than I initially thought." Jackal pondered to himself. "Don't you stand there Mink! Please! I beg of you! Save the King! You can take my life today... Just please... You've gotten the cure! You can keep that useless book that only foolish Talibah could've read! Save him!" Ra shouted. Shutting the door behind them, Jackal's men rushed into the room, only to find the former Bandit King's dead, and Jackal heavily wounded. "Boss!" the men shouted, fifteen in number, panicked by the situation. "Calm down! It's time to get out of here... Grab whatever bags the others died collecting. Our mission is completed." Jackal commanded. "But Jackal! The marines are out there... In your shape..." another one of the aids chimed in. "Shishishi..." Jackal began to chuckle. "Who said anything about exiting the way we came in? I just found something much interesting." Jackal said.

"First... I need to end this. Ra. Royal Guard to King of Alabasta." Jackal said, at his moment, Jackal's mind's eye had already seen the images of the dead King being tossed off the Throne with his Kenbunshoku Haki by Bazil. "On this day... The Crown has suffered an amazing blow. When you meet your dead brothers on the other-side... Tell them this." Jackal grinned. Leaping off the ground, shoving his claws into the man's heart, Ra's eyes expanded widely, smiling in delight, getting a rush off the pain. Pushing whole fist into the man's chest cage, Jackal's hands were hardened by a metallic black invisible armour, remembering the sensation from his strike against Ra's face. This allowed him to penetrate deeper into the man's skin, like a tapeworm wiggling through an afflicted's intestinal tracks. Sticking his finger tips in a clutch against the man's heart, a surge of electricity in his heart discharged, fading the light from Ra's eyes. Removing his bloodied hand, Jackal's right arm that stroke the deed of death, was shining a thick obsidian colour, contrasted by the bright crimson red. Separating from the tall archer, Ra's body fell to the ground and Jackal began to b-line towards the Eastern Wall of the Treasury. Thought the effects of the serum had began to kick in, Jackal had long ago cancelled his electrical dome, unable to sustain Electro any longer. Jackal's men watched as the Mink slain a figure that bandits had feared their whole life growing up in Ra. "Tell them... This is a New Era." Jackal concluded, devilishly grinning.

Motivation revitalised, Jackal, and his pack of fifteen travelled east for about twenty-five meters, before arriving at a blank wall. Th men thought Jackal was going crazy, but the Mink had began to tap his knuckles against the wall, locating a hollow area, he'd press inward a button like fixture, which revealed a door leading into a passageway. Directly ahead was the an open door, with a banner draped in front of blocking the entrance, and the only other path in the passageway was to the right. Unloading his Title Belt and Treasure to his bandit conspirators, Jackal commanded ten of his men to advance to the right, using his Kenbunshoku, he'd check ahead about ten meters to find, no one auras present. The other five would accompany him straight ahead, parting the banner, Jackal was directly behind the King's Throne in the throne room. At this point, the Marines who'd been chasing Jackal's men had broken down the room to the Treasury, only to find a dead Royal Guard, with his heart left by the bottom of his boots. Parting the banner, Jackal entered onto the platform, the King's Throne was hoisted on, and sitting in the seat was none other than Bazil, unconscious and covered in wounds. Jackal had nothing much to say, he'd tip his head towards Bazil's direction, signalling for his men to pick up Bazil. Taking the crown and the King's robe, "He seems to be the type to want a trinket or two." Jackal stated grinning. Scattered around the room, Jackal would noticed the room plastered with the bodies of unconscious marines, most of them with no wounds on them at all. Which, from his knowledge of Bazil, was nothing like him at all.

Kneeling down at the dead King, Jackal would pickpocket the man's contents, removing a series of letters, parchments and Royal Documents that the King seemed to keep on him. The flames in the room began to rage on, and in the distance, the marine core closed in on the entrance to the throne. "Sometimes it is said that Minks cannot be trusted with the government of himself." Jackal stated, as he'd retreated behind the banner of the Throne Room, leaving the King's position, stuffing the documents in his cargo pants's pockets. "Can he, then be trusted with the government of others? Or have we found angels in the form of kings to govern him? They say history will answer these questions." Jackal concluded walking down the passageway, down the staircase to the right. At the bottom of the steps, Bazil firmly strapped over the shoulders of his retreating men who fled ahead of him, Jackal followed the staircases path into an underground tomb. Keeping his Kenbunshoku Haki expanded, he'd noticed that complex nature of the space he'd just entered. Continuing North, Jackal would traverse through a room covered with sigils and language from a lost era. It was similar to the origin text in the first couple pages in the manual, he'd flicked through momentarily before being attacked by Ra almost an hour ago at this point. A mile into the chamber, away from the now flooded marine throne room and treasury, Jackal's Haki picked up on a fleet of stairs, which had sunlight at it's peak. This was one of the many paths that could've been taken into the tombs but Jackal really had no time to truly explore. Climbing the staircase, Jackal would've exited into a location in middle of nowhere, a mile away from Alubarna in the backdrop.

Plopping onto the ground, Jackal and his group of fifteen screamed of joy, as they'd finally made it away from the capital. With no auras in sight, Jackal's mission to obtain Pluton's Manual was successful. He'd secured one of the keys to the World's Most Dangerous Weapon. "Everyone... Lose your masks and those robes." Jackal commanded, discarding his own bloodied top. "Everywhere will be high alert now..." one of the bandits that remained stated, as he undressed disheartened. "True. That just means it's going as you calculated Jackal." one of the Bandits stated. Sighing, "This becomes the tricky part... Barron's Base won't be safe anymore in the next coming days. Those of our conspirator's who are caught will snitch. A Mink backed into a corner much like a rat will do anything to save his life." Jackal stated. "Let's get walking... We'll meet back up at the rendezvous point." Jackal commanded, before heading towards the steps towards the entrance to the Royal Ruins. "The King's Dead. We're Rich. Let's Feast Tonight At Barron's Base... If we keep North of here, we should make it their by nightfall." Jackal said. "What about the red head?" one of the men asked, Bazil in hand. "He'll come with us... If those guards hit with the poison I had running through my veins... He might die. Gilbard should be able to use my blood as a serum to cure the poison in his veins. Let's go." Jackal ordered. Within moments, scattered into the desert the part of fifteen travelled North Towards the Sandora' Graveyard. With the chaos thickening in the city, the rush to take care of the fallen monarchy, the fifteen bandits carrying the King Slayer, Pluton's Key, King's Documents and Treasure, had gotten out of this situation much more 'richer' than any of them could've imagined. Especially, the documents the King had on his person, those would... those would... be a story for another time.

Exit.
Exiting with Bazil.

"Oh hunny bunny are you okay? Hmm?", said Mrs. Askr who rushed to her daughter who started to breakdown. Mr. Askr glared at her and scoffed, before entering the room and picking up shattered blade of Sandai Kitetsu. Cracked in half with a battered hilt, it would not be serviceable as a blade anymore. Although it could restored to working condition, it would never be the blade kitetsu forged. " Kitetsu died long before our time daughter, but this blade was part of him.", he said looking down with watery eyes. Lina said, " Hey...dad sorry he was my best friend sandai...now hes gone because im a bad swordsman". Mr. Askr shook his head and stood before her, towering like a giant. He placed his hands on her shoulders and said, " No Sandai was your partner. I can tell you two were the best of friends. But now its time for you to get to know Nidai kitetsu, and move on". Lina nodded with her eyes averted, frozen in anguish and exhuasted.

Mr. Askr approached the red head, who unbeknownst to Lina was actually the princess she was asked to save. Though with the recent reports flooding in before their arrival, her parents decided it was best to not say anything. Especially if the girl didn't want to say anything herself. Double 04, would be quietly ushered away and brought on board to marineford, where she would work under their supervision. Her knowledge should have warranted death but the Askrs were all about second chances. Something Little Lina never inherited from her parents. The two exited via the stair well leading toward a group of ciphers in their fancy suits and sunglasses even they used even indoors."Guess it's better than death, huh"? Mr. Askr laughed and slapped her back, " Truth is we expect you to be our daughter's best friend one day. So we're going to groom you and teach you have to be a good person". The red head sighed and walked along with the man, with niether the strength nor the energy to even feel worried.

---back at the lab---

"Well hunny bunny funny wunny, it's about time we get going. It was nice seeing you, both me and your father are proud of you". Lina let her tears go and let her body fall to the floor, or rather it would have without her mother there. "No no, you have to be a big girl. The marines are already on their way. Head down to the floor you killed that bastard Patcheeni and get going girl". Lina protested and said, " But --but--but mama i missed chu". Mrs. Askr smiled and felt like a weight was lifted off her shoulder. Not just she, but both parties felt as if the other hated eachother. It was just an Askr thing most people said. Quick to jump to conclusions, foolhardy, and prone to bias. She lifted up a plastic bag with some new underwerar, frenchfries, and a bit of water.

Lina hesitated at first, before gingerly taking the bag. "We love you snoogly woogly pup and we're always watching over you, even when we're in the new world. Your escapades make us sad,but we think of it like... a story.
Continue to entertain us
". Lina nodded and wrapped her arms around her mother one last time before heading off. "And don't worry about sandai! Just come get the reforged blade from us in the new world! We look forward to seeing your growth Lina"! It was then that Lina nodded and knew being addressed by her name meant it was time to go. She started to drop down before using her powers mid air to enter the hotel floor where patcheeni had died. The sounds of angry marines could be heard. Her mother shouted, " That damn pirate got me! She stabbed my leg and injured me"! They found her lying on the floor with a fresh knife in her leg, while the petite swordswoman was nowhere to be seen. Leaping out the window and kicking off into the city like the blip she was. Just for safe measure she would go around the casino before heading off toward nanoha, to hide out from the marine army focused storming Rain dinners.

The island before nightfall was nearly under revolution, with factions for and against the world government quickly revving up. Town hall meetings, neighborhood meetings, and outright looting befell all three of the major settlements.Lina wouldnt have to worried about being spotted because while she was a speck trying to hide out, the authorities had their hands full with a mob growing bigger by the minute. As for Momma Askr, she grinned and looked up at her chief assistant a young captain who went by the name shredder. He sighed and helped the Mother of a pirate up while patching her up. Trying his best to contain his grin in the presence of the frantic marines at the scene of the crime. Momma askr would say, "Boy oh boy, I miss her already"
