Dai yawned as he rose up from his bed as he heard the dulcet tones of his The inn keeper announcing breakfast yelling for everyone to get up. He stretched and ruffled his hair up and climbed out of bed.  He got up and proceeded to get dressed. He proceeded to brush his teeth and style his hair into his trademark fin style hair. He grabbed yubashiri and fastened it to his side and gently caressed the the handle of it. He had done quite a bit of damage and had earned himself a bounty for his trouble but it was worth it. he was dishing out some payback for Fishman island and its people who had been so abused by the marines.

He felt like he was following in one of fishman islands greatest heros fisher tiger.   In a way yet he had his own path to take as a pirate and legend in the making. He smiled and quickly walked towards his door before he stopped and made a u-turn. He nearly forgot his locket he shook his head and put on his golden locket around his neck that lay on his bedside cabinet. He gently pressed his finger on the cold metal and left it tucked outside his shirt as he opened turned and left his room heading down towards the inns lower level.

He smiled kindly to the elderly women nd took a seat at a table and ordered some eggs and toast for himself. Nothing to large although being a shark Fishman he had a voracious appetite to boot. He smiled and hummed to himself as he waited for his meal and tapped his fingers on the wooden surface of the table. It didn't take long and his order came about and he devoured it all in mere moments and placed some berri down on the counter for his meal and proceeded out into the town.

He would be hit with a blast of cold air and he shuddered slightly. His skin receiving goosebumps as he walked through the snow and ice his sword carefully placed on his left hip.  A smile on his face as he walked down the street. Oh, how marvelous and wonderful this island's town was it seemed. Everywhere he went he could see shops of all sorts opening or some remaining open. He smelled the air and caught the scent of fresh baked bread and followed after it and headed to a local bakery.

He bought a loaf of bread for himself and one for each of his crewmates. A little breakfast after a long voyage would do them some good not to mention get in with there good graces. He smirked as he left the shop and headed to a known market and picked up some other supplies juice eggs, milk, and some butter and headed down to the docks where he was sure he would find his new crewmates.  Just as true to his thought he spotted a familiar face and it was none other than willow.  He held up the loaf of fresh hot bread and came walking up towards him. "Hey, good morning Willlow thought I would bring some food for the crew but it just seems like it is you and me you care for some breakfast?"

Willow was sitting on the precipice of the docks, Hair flowing in the cold breeze, breath forming in the air in front of him.  Hook pulled up and over, combined with his collar it made it hard to see anything beside the orange tuft of hair sticking out and his pair of purple colored eyes.  While he sat on a low hanging wall that lead down to the slope that spilled out into the docks, one leg up, the other leg dangling, he was just sitting for some reason.  With an elbow draped over his pulled up knee he observed the different crews working on the docks, and the ships anchored away.

He was window shopping, trying to see if there were any ships worthwhile of the Six Barrel Pirates. Sylvester had mentioned something about getting a boat to get off this island, along with several other choice words about Willow's fashion sense.  SO Willow thought it would be best to be proactive and see if there were any ships worth stealing.  Sure it was a bit rash to think like that, but there weren't any super powers with the ability to read minds, now were there? Besides, he was a pirate now after all!

While he contemplated this, there were several people moving about, carrying objects wrapped in colorful paper and the like.  Gifts, they were called, Willow wondered what was in a gift.  Was it the same thing in every gift? He had no concept of Christmas gift giving like this from where he hailed, nor did he have any idea that a culture outside of Water 7 did this.  He simply saw it as a chance to watch a new cultural norm that he had never seen before.

He pivoted from one direction on the wall to the other, swinging his legs around until his thick shoes came to a light crunch on the ground, sifting through the small layer of snow that had built up on the cobblestone walkway.  While he thought about all of these things, something in his headphones rang out, a voice.  It was more of a static burst which made him flinch and wince at first, as the voice tended to tune in like that since he earned his devil fruit powers, but after that the voice was easily understandable.

"Never...Christmas...Willow?"

Willow thought about what the question before he pulled his collar up high so people wouldn't see him talking to himself, "No, I've never heard of what a Christmas is. Now my turn: What's your name? This is like the dozenth time I've asked."

The voice could only respond with a chuckle before speaking again, "Told...you...it's--" But just like every time, the voice cut out and he was sighing in a frustrated manner.  It always tried to tell him something about itself, and then went away.  he needed to hone his powers more if he wanted anything out of the voice.

"Friend...approaching...left!" Willow looked up and saw the hulking frame of Daimaru approaching.  WIllow had on his dopey close-eyed face while he was offered a baguette, "Is this some new form of sword you've taken to wielding Daimaru?" Willow asked while taking the loaf of bread.

it was a nice and quiet day today it seemed, no bandits, no vigilantes, no bounty hunters, no marines.  No nothing but relaxing with someone that he could call an ally.  At least, for now that was.

He smiled cheerfully as the ma took the loaf baguette as willow asked ever so comically. He even laughed heartily and shook his head. 'Oh no friend it is a type of bread and fresh from the oven it is most delicious." He held open the little bag of grocery items and smiled " I also have some eggs milk and juice so in case you don't feel like bread you have more options. He placed his hand slowly inside his black cloak and pulled out his wanted poster and chuckled. "Shame these marines didn't give me a nickname nor a picture but I suppose we did take them all by surprise."

He sighed and rolled it up and tucked inside his sleeve as he looked about at the civilians with there wrapped gifts. It seemed it was Christmas time and he hadn't realized it. He chuckled heartily and once more picked up the bag. he gently tugged on his gold chain a heart shaped crab locket was pulled out of his cloak with his right hand and caressed it with his thumb. He did have a bit of a problem with making small talk especially one on one with people. Maybe it was just his old shy awkward self-coming out.

He gently leaned up against the wall next to willow. His boots crunching the snow beneath him as he looked about and out to the frozen docks and partially frozen seas. "You hear anything about why water seven is mostly frozen over, This is supposed to be a tropical island yet it has been frozen over with no signs of letting up very strange don't you agree?" he narrowed his eyes as he caught a few dock workers whispering and staring over at him and willow. it was as if they had never seen a Fishman before.

He looked down realizing he was gently caressing the locket and cleared his throat. His mind wandered off towards the images of his friends being dragged away by nets and by humans who were laughing heartily joking how they were gonna make big bucks. He clicked it open and held the locket in his palm open handed and a song began to echo out from the locket. It was beautiful yet there was much sadness to it. his lips gently murmuring inaudibly along with the locket as he stared long at a picture of himself and 5 of his closest friends. There was an octopus Fishman, a shark mermaid, a Baracuda Fishman, and finally a smelt-whiting mermaid with flowing blue hair.

He felt a tear shed from his eyes and slowly drip onto the picture frame. This time of year was always hard on him since he had no family left and his friends he had made as a child were gone. he was an orphan. He felt the tears that streamed down his face slowly begin to freeze over and he winced in pain and wiped his eyes with his left sleeve. He listened to the sound of the song as it somewhat calmed him yet in his heart he ached to find his lost friends and reunite with them. Then he heard a voice come up as a small group of what he thought were children come up to him and point and laugh at him. " Haha look at that the big tough fish is crying what a baby! What's wrong the bait shop run out of food you disgusting piece of trash" These so-called children were dressed in strange green clothing with pointed ears as well perhaps this was some different type of human or perhaps they were just dressed up as elves he could not be certain. He glared over at them anger slowly beginning to build up in his body. Slowly the heat from within him began to stir. "Get lost brat!" As he spoke his voice shaking with sadness and slowly beginning to merge with anger.

Of course he knew it was for breakfast and not a weapon, he was just trying to have some fun with the sharkman. Daimaru saw the humor in and started to laugh while Willow took the bread and looked at the entire loaf, and then at Daimaru, did he expect Willow to eat all of this in one sitting? He wasn't carbo loading for the big game or anything now was he?

He looked at all of the other food that Daimaru had brought and raised an eyebrow at the shark man, giving him a look of sheer bewilderment with those purple eyes. "Is this not normal for the island this time of year? I've no idea myself--I'm still new to exploring islands and traveling wherever it is warm normally." He said while waving his hand in front of his face.

That locket was certainly something to see, the music playing from it got Willow's attention. He wanted to ask about it, but it seemed that the shark fishman was intent on looking at the locket and thinking about something from the past for now. Willow wasn't exactly going to pry into it, that wasn't in his nature one bit.

Of course, that couldn't be said for the short 'children' coming to mock Daimaru. Willow turned his attention to them and took the time to remain quiet and just get a look at them while they danced about and saw fit to mock his ally. Willow could only scratch the side of his head while looking at the green garment wearing vagabonds.

"Do you think their ears are supposed to be that pointy?" Apparently he struck a nerve saying that out loud, proposing the question to Daimaru. The elfish children didn't seem too keen on having their ears pointed out. And just like their ears, when they got mad and started to snarl at Willow, their noses became pointed, even showing off teeth that were like razors. They had half a mind to give them what for.

But--rather than that, they pulled out what looked like ornaments from their bags and turned around to throw them at various stores behind themselves. When then fragile glass baubles struck the walls of the shops, they ignited into powerful flames while the children started to laugh and clap while bounding about in circles.

Willow just turned to look at Daimaru and ask, "Is that normal?"

He looked over at Willow as he questioned him about the islands normal climate. "No not for this island this is a summer island so it never snows here, but yes this is typical for weather for winter islands, but the sea itself is only frozen around the island." He pondered within his head the mysteriousness of this strange weather phenomenon that plagued the island of water seven. Perhaps it was a devil fruit users ability or perhaps it could be the force of something else entirely. Though that seemed more than an unplausible sort of situation. He gently clasped the locket closed and let it hang in front of his chest outside his cloak.

He snorted into his hands and stifled a laugh when he heard point out their long pointed ears. He shook his head as he saw the little child like creatures suddenly metamorphose into something different. there noses elongated and their teeth became like serrated fangs. He had never heard of creatures like these before most peculiar indeed. But what they did next surprised him even more. throwing little glass balls at the walls of stores and almost magically they set ablaze. "Oh great now we're gonna get blamed for that more than likely, though on the other hand that is our captains M.O."

He chuckled once again feeling the anger slowly begin to slip from him. He turned his attention to willow and shook his head and comedically face palmed himself "No this is NOT normal we need to stop this before it gets out of hand." he took a brief moment to pause before he would speak again "Normally I don't cut children but, something in my gut tells me these aren't kids playing dress up." He smirked and drew yubashiri from its black lacquer finish sheath. He grasped each individual finger around the handle of the blade. Enjoying the feeling of the quality of the wrapping of the blade.

There was pity deep within him for these creatures still hence his initial hesitation. They looked so much like children at first so innocent. But now these monsters showed their true colors. these were creatures who thrived in chaos no better. They were worse than scum they needed to be put in place and be shown the error of there ways. He released his left hand from yubashiri and began to walk towards the group of strangely clothed beings. "That is very naughty, what in the hellpointy-earedle pointy eared brat think your freaking doing." he glared down at the one creature that had insulted him earlier and raised his left hand and proceeded to throw a hooked punch into the tiny creatures face. He used half of his full strength not holding back in the least. He watched as some teeth were knocked out of the little creature's mouth and the little guy was sent into the nearest side of his compatriots.

He cracked his finger on his left hand and stared down the other four children who glared at him there fingers nails elongating into sharp little talons. His hand hurt slightly from the initial punch and was already starting to swell slightly. He wasn't much of a brawler at least not at the moment, that would be another goal to achieve for another time. He growled at them very much like an animal his pupils dilated and his shark teeth bare to them he snarled. Saliva slowly beginning to build and drip from the sides of his mouth. "Remember this and tell your friends you mess with Water seven and you mess with the fish man who is going to become the worlds greatest swordsmen Great White Dai, Now if you don't want to end up like your friend there put out the fires, or don't in which case you'll end up much worse than your friend which was a love tap!" As he finished his sentence the one he punched groaned and slowly got back to his feet and rubbed the side of his face. Spitting blood onto the ground starting directly at Dai with uttermost hate and dicontent.

"Or--we could leave before we get roped into this and blamed for i-and you're already hitting them." He said while having lifted up an index finger as if to try and make a statement on the fact that it was probably best to run and not get tossed in to the blame for this fire being started, again, but that was a moot point now. Willow just sighed and scooted off of the wall, his feet crunching into the snow while Daimaru saw fit to dispatch one of the demonic little children in one swift motion.

Rubbing the back of his head with one hand, his other reached behind himself and whipped around across his chest, in that swift motion he uttered the words, "One Moon." And his staff elongated to its full length, swiftly retracting back into place like a tape measure. As he had swung, one of the elves was struck in the side of the head and swept off to the side without much care for the child/man/thing/whatever. "Right, you realize that's probably making him angrier yes?" He asked while pointed at the elf on the ground who seemed to be going through a metamorphosis.

In fact, they all seemed to be going through some weird change, Willow watched this and reacted by slanting at an acute angle, feet still planted on the ground and arms thrust upwards, waving about all squiggly wiggly as if he were a sheet of paper in the wind. His reaction came with several ghosts rising up out of the ground from around his feet in the process, all of them mimicking his actions as they floated up into the air and disappeared.

The elves had gone from what looked like little children to impish looking creatures with gangly arms and stocky legs, razor sharp talons, teeth that looked like that could floss your flesh off, and the ability to make more of those ornaments in their hands by some means. "Not only are they daemons! They're magic? Oyoyoyoyoyoyoy!" he tried to laugh it off, but it was clear he was disturbed by this on a level that was primal.

This was evidenced by the fact the moment one of them went for Willow, he went on the evasive to avoid having his staff caught by one of those claws. As the arm swiped across, the cleaved straight through the wooden support beams holding up a canopy of canvas above one of the shops. "Daimaru! Move!" He wasn't in his dopey sense anymore, this was the very shrewd and serious Willow, looking to tell his ally to get out of there before he got minced.

He had barely heard what Willow had said in the beginning but after his initial hit to one of the demon children he caught "and your already hitting them."He looked towards Willow and shrugged in a way that gestured you expect something different from me. He laughed and closed his left fist his knuckle cartilage popping loudly. These little fellas were durable that was for sure but let's see how they would hold up to a meitou weapon. He licked away the saliva from the sides of his lips as he went into a guarding stance with his sword as he saw them begin there most unusual metamorphosis.

He turned his head towards Willow and his tone of voice had changed. He was somewhat mirthful yet there was a serious tone to it. "Well I could have cut them, But I have a soft spot for kids but that went out the window now." He chuckled and watched willow pull out a staff of some sort. He raised eyebrows as several ghost-like figures appeared at the sides of his new companion that mimicked his actions a most unusual ability indeed. It seemed that his crewmate had been holding out on him.

He watched as they finished their transformation into there ugly impish like forms and he smiled. "Magic maybe but damn are they ugly." He chuckled and his eyes raised in surprise as one of the little imps cut through the beams to the canopy he was under. He heard his comrade warn him. just as the canopy was beginning to fall down he bent his knees and used them as a spring and pushed himself up into the air and slashed upwards cutting the canopy in half. As he was fall in back down to the ground he spotted the little monster that had tried to bury him with the canopy. It had been the same little bastard that he had punched.

He pointed his sword at the little imp  and shouted "Your mine!" His body would land a foot away from his original positioning thanks to his spring and he watched as two of the imps charged towards him. He chuckled and spun on his heel his sword appearing to move towards them but in actuality, he was slicing behind him. The imp behind his let out a cry of pain as the blade cut into him and he fell over onto the ground his chest cut wide open his intestines slowly spilling out onto the ground.

He was now being engaged by the two elves as he parried the first one away, however, the second tore into his left leg with a powerful bite. he felt the flesh being ripped through with the sharp fangs. Blood spraying from his wound onto the pure white snow. He groaned and impaled his sword on the right side of the creature and the creature relaxed its grip with its mouth and he pulled it off his leg.  He flung the creature behind him into the burning shop and clutched at his wounded leg and winced. "Damn these little bastards bite hard."

While Daimaru fought several of the elves, the rest, about five in total, were intent on getting after Willow who was the one that dispatched one of their brethren in one swift motion, as if disinterested in what they were capable of at first, only to react in a more childish manner than they were originally trying to do.  They snarled at Willow, teeth bared, claws at the ready while he was working on dodging and avoiding them at the moment.

A weave to the left to avoid a swiping down claw, a duck from the right and sliding along the snowy ground, slipping along the surface to avoid a wide sweep that would have cleaved his chest open.  While the elves were haphazardly attacking him, Willow was on the defensive for now!  "Let's meet back up here in about three minutes! Bye now!" Willow said with a frightened tone and thrust his staff toward the ground, letting it extend to its full length in the process "Summer Solstice!"

His staff would extend and struck into the ground, only to retract just as an ornament was thrown at full speed into Wiillow's body. The flames erupted and briefly engulfed him as he went through the air, arms crossed over his face as he came tumbling on the ground, creating a neat sizzling sound and causing steam to come up as he put out the flames just as quickly as they went onto his body.  He would not be getting any serious burns, but those elves were already giving chase.

Willow was up to his feet in a moment's notice and running down toward a market street were many open air stalls of wood and canvas were at the ready for any passers-by that wanted to buy their wares. While Willow ran down it, he was working on staying three steps ahead of those jingling bell bastards.  The sounds of grunts and screams as the stalls were torn through, fires ignited, and many many different people were hurt in the process.

As Willow was busy running and avoiding the elves, no one could really blame him for the destruction, but like any good pirate worth their salt, he was blamed for bringing the little monsters down the lane.  Speaking of the little tundra terrors, they were busy caught up in all of the stuff they were busy bringing down and destroying!  While they were working on throwing off rubble and canvas fabric, Willow was at the other end of the market lane, laughing triumphantly with his hands on his hips,.

"O-yoyoyoyoyoyoyo! Looks like you need to focus on your target more than just wanton destruction! Now if you'll excuse me I have an ally to get back to!" He declared with a half dopey and half regal tone, only for his reaction to return to that stiff as a board at an angle screaming pose as the elves easily freed themselves of their bindings and glared at Willow, ready to get to chasing him again. "OYOYOYOYOY!"

He collapsed onto his good knee as the couldn't take the pain anymore. He glared at his aching wound as he watched his compatriot lead the others away. He gently dragged himself over to a wine stall and slammed his hands down on the counter and spoke. " Wine doesn't matter what kind." he reached into his pocket shakily and pulled out some berris and leaned up against the stalls front. He bit his lip as he waited patiently on the ground at his bleeding leg. He needed to clean it before a infection would set in.

He glared at the passers-by who stopped and stared at him like he was some carnival sideshow freak. He clenched his left hand onto his wound blood seeping out between his webbed fingers as he sat on the ground. His right hand on yubashiri ready in case any more of those freaks showed up. But it seemed that Willow had been able to pull them all off towards his direction. He was handed a bottle of red wine and he pulled the cork out with his teeth and drank deeply from it for a few moment. He let out a labored breath and then poured the wine onto his open wound and slammed his feet on the ground yelling every sort of known profanity into the air as the alcohol burned at his wound.

He slowly got up and winced as he made his way over to a burning stand. The wine bottle in hand as he placed the bottle in his teeth and reached down and grabbed a piece of burning lumber and sighed and shook his head. This was going to be the worst part. He sighed and placed the torch on his wound cauterizing the wound. Once again he screamed but this time at the top of his lungs, his scream echoing around the docks and traveling down the road. He knew there wasn't a ship doctor for the six barrel pirates, hell he couldn't even go to a hospital now since he was a wanted man. things were getting out of hand.

He looked over at the two corpses of the imp-like creatures and smiled and slowly limped off towards them. Well like his parents taught him waist what want not. He ripped off their hats and tear them into long shredded pieces of cloth and slowly began to wind his wound with them. It would do for now at least he knew that much but he wasn't sure about any of the after-effects hell for all he knew he could turn into one of those damn things with a bite. He glared down at the elves and picked them up and tossed them into the burning stall and watched as their flesh crackled and there fat from there bodies pop as slowly the organs inside them would be cooked. He chuckled slightly and cleaned off his bloodied blade and began to sing an old Christmas song he knew chest buts roasting over an open fire. As they were male imps it was somewhat rather ironic.

Running, sprinting, dashing, prancing, doing everything he could to avoid these elves! As long as he kept on the run, he could keep the same distance between himself and them. While he was running, he was making a long loop around the buildings, slowly doubling back toward the location of Daimaru where he left the shark man. it was best to group up now that there were only four elves chasing him. That would mean that it would be easier to fight them as a duo. One of the elves had run off to go tell someone what they encountered. But that wasn't of consequence right now.

Right now he needed Daimaru. So as he went down one alleyway, avoiding the bellows of fire from ornaments, the swishes of objects being thrown at him from behind as they whizzed beside his ear, Willow was putting all of his effort into running. Even as several ornaments were lobbed high overhead, landing in the exit of the alleyway and creating a wall of flames. Willow just grit his teeth and gave a look of pure determination at those flames. He leapt forward, crossing his arms over his chest and tucking his legs in only to land and go into a roll as he burst through the flames with pain washing over his body.

He scrambled to get up to his feet, losing some time between him and the elves as they leapt up and over the tongues of flame to start chasing Willow again. He was halfway there, and he even had the chance to take out his weapon and swing it for various food carts. Destroying the property of others he spilled all manner of round fruits and vegetables. Acting like a pit of balls to slip up on, the elves, despite their tiny size, were able to pass over the foodstuffs with minimal effort. But as Willow turned the corner, he saw Daimaru in the distance.

"Oi! Shark! Get on your feet!" He declared while making the hard turn to run and meet up with Daimaru. The elves were following right after, using their claws to dig into the ground to slow their momentum so that they could try and get after Willow again. While he approached the wounded shark man, Willow called out again, "You take one and I can handle the other three! Deal?" Willow declared while he leapt up off the ground about two inches, only to pivot in a one eighty, landing and sliding on the ground.

As he did he drew out his staff, twirling it around his body only to bring it flat against his back in his right arm, the weapon tucked into the crux of his elbow, elbow against his flank as his left hand was pointed out in a palm strike form. Right leg pointed outward, left leg pointed forward, feet planted and making a large T-formation. He was steeling his nerves to fight. Apparently Willow wanted to tire the poor things out judging their size and strength to come with a low amount of stamina. And his ploy seemed to pay off. Even playing scared the entire time. Now, they just had to fight the remaining elves.

He could hear the sounds of screams of people running in terror even from down at the docks. Fires illuminated the city like so many candles as the creatures tore through the city. Cause mass chaos and disorder. He wondered where in the hell were the marines at. It just goes to show you can't look for help when you need it from the marines. Just as he had finished singing the little song he heard a familiar voice address him. His crewmate now coming into visual sight he shook his head. He counted the remaining little imp forces numbers and seemed there was one missing.

Perhaps willow had dealt a fatal blow to one of them or perhaps one of them was knocked out. Who could say however he narrowed his eyes in an annoyed sort of manner. Being addressed as a shark was somewhat an insult although it was somewhat correct. He was a shark but he was a shark, Fishman "That's Mr.Shark Fishman to you death wish boy" He smirked somewhat towards Willow and winced as he was on his legs and moved towards him. He winced slightly and nodded his head as willow laid out his plan for him. Yes in his current state he could take down at least one may two.

He felt the cold wind breeze against his exposed face sending chills up and down his entire body. He really needed to get better clothing but that was ever so expensive and he had other priorities besides he had packed for a summer island, not this winter hell. "consider that one imp chum." He glared at an incoming imp and resorted to using another attack of his. He raised his right arm and began to wave it up and down much like a branch on a tree. the imp not stopping however and charged right towards him however that was its last and final mistake that it would make. Just then he proceeded with a quick continuous succession of jabs from the point of his blade. He watched as the imp parried three off the stabs however he was overcome and was proceeded with four stabs. one in his heart, one in his larynx, one in his kidney and the final one in the liver. even if the imp survived it was a death sentence.

Blood sprouted from each of the wounds he had inflicted upon the little imp.  He spat on the ground and picked up the elf and tossed him onto the burning pyre with the other little miscreants. Sweat dripping down from the sides of his head. He had barely done anything yet he was already this winded. Perhaps it was his wound. "I hope the captain has a doctor on board cause I think I might need this looked at." Yubashiri at his side as his side the tip of the blade dripping with blood.  He wiped the blade off with his sleeve of his cloak and returned his weapon to its sheath. " Your turn to take out the rest and hurry it up  id like to eat before noon if you need help lemme know." He sighed and proceeded to take a seat infront of the burning stand warming his hands up.

Many down, three to go, three against Willow, Daimaru on the sidelines. Willow liked those odds, they were much more favorable than damn near ten on two. Three on one was mathematically better. He told himself that as the three remaining elves stopped seeing their comrade cut down so easily. it was a stand off at the moment, and Willow was raring to fight back. But rushing into a set of three enemies when you weren't surrounded by them made it very difficult to decide on doing anything.

With Daimaru behind, he couldn't rush in and avoid ornaments. That would spell a crispy and fiery doom for the shark. He could try and defend himself and tank his way through the ornaments, but that wasn't advised either. If he could parry them and utilize his weapon to keep them from getting in too close, maybe he could mitigate the damage he took. No matter what scenario he ran through his head, these elves were going to be spitting hot fire (metaphorically speaking) and Willow would be getting a little burnt. It was a tough call on the matter and he took in a deep breath before glaring at the elves.

They could tell he was not as afraid as before, as if he was just pretending, much like they were. The elves were already jumping and chattering, arms flailing about angrily as they cursed and swore at Willow in some strange tongue. Willow on the other hand was standing there, putting his headphones on as if to ignore the elves. This infuriated the little green men of course, but Willow was doing this for a second reason other than to just piss them off.

He winced at first, but the static wasn't as bad as it normally was. He just had to twitch his head before the voice could come in. He still didn't know who the voice was, or how they found the frequency to his headphones' snail, but that wasn't the major point of this. She always seemed to see and know exactly what was going on around Willow. Maybe he just didn't understand it yet. He only had those headphones three days before he got his fruit powers, and the voice didn't come in until after he ate that cursed fruit.

But the voice was always a source of help to him. She seemed to know when things were coming his way seconds before they were launched. And now was no different. "Ready. Move." The voice was more coherent now, not as many pauses in her words. Figuring she was as good a voice as any to listen to, Willow ran forward. She couldn't help him all the time though, he wasn't certain of her words or she wasn't at the ready enough. It seemed to take it out of her just to talk, and that was fine. He just wished she would talk more than when he was in a fight.

The moment Willow got into running at the elves, five ornaments were thrown at his person. The first one was easy, "One moon!" He swung his weapon, launching it to its full length while gripping onto the base, smashing the ornament out of the air while fire rained down onto the snow below. As the weapon came back Willow was leaping into a pivot while bringing his weapon up and around his body, and as he landed, he swiped the weapon around straight through two more ornaments that sent the flames away and into the ground, though the splash of them hit his body.

Another pivot on the ground and a twirl of the weapon from his right hip to the left like a figure-eight propeller took care of the other two ornaments while he ran forward at the elves, targeting the middle one while running straight through the flames on the ground. He found his weapon rather unwieldy, but it had its times when it was useful. Now though, it would be much better used as a cane.

So he did just that, retracting the weapon and locking it into a three and a half foot length while he got in the middle of the elves and they started to converge on his person. It looked like a suicide attempt but as the elves from the left and right turned to swipe at him, their arms would collide with and cleave through the body of the middle elf. This was done by using his Summer SOlstice again, shoving the weapon into the ground to launch straight upward, retracting the length back into the weapon and letting the recoil flip him through the air. As he came to a landing position, another ornament was thrown at him.

He shoved straight through it, wielding his now-a-cane weapon upwards in a powerful motion, striking through the ornament and glaring at the remaining two elves while they came leaping at him, one at a time. The first one looking for a powerful downward swing of the arm as the other came rushing in for an uppercut to Willow's chin. He simply got up and pivoted on the ground, turning on his left heel to make a one eighty to the right, holding his weapon up to catch the palm and not the claws of the left elf while the right elf went right on past.

"I've bloody well had enough of being set on fire today! Piss off!" He declared while reaching up to grab onto the left elf's tunic, swinging the little guy straight down like a smith's hammer, slamming the guy's face into the hard ground first, even bouncing the poor guy off of the ground, leaving it as a one versus one. What would Daimaru think of the fight so far?

He was rather getting somewhat impressed with his crewmates fighting capabilities. True he was no swordsman but there was a great fighters spirit within him. that much he could see. What remained of the elves now had dwindled down to three remaining. It was not his style though to interfere in others fights. The young lad had done alright so far. As clearly by the evidence at the dwindled number of the imp creatures. He took the wine bottle and chugged the remaining portions down greedily to help numb the pain more. Streams of spilled wine fell from his cheeks. but he didn't exactly care at his poor manners at the moment.

He wiped his face with his left sleeve and let out a loud belch the noise reverberating around the stone marble structures. Whatever these blasted imps were doing with those ornaments creation it had to be either a df ability or perhaps he might have to consider his crewmates possibility of magic. Though the elves all looked different so could it possibly be a devil fruit as far as he knew a devil fruit could exist only in one sole user. So how in the hell did these little green bastards do it?

He tapped his good leg impatiently as he took yubashiri from his left side and used it as a cane to help push himself up from the ground. Oh, he was tired oh so very tired. He honestly just wanted this day to end. He watched as Willow took off running towards the elves as they launched a volley of ornaments at him. He watched as he parried away one ornament and pivoted into the air and landed gracefully. He sure was a nimble little fella he would give another round of praise to Willow within his mind.

However, when willow parried another two ornaments away he was hit by the splash of the oil. He was about to yell out his voice of concern when the young boy, however, seemed to be doing just fine. He nodded his head and leaned up against a wall. He watched as the young man ran through the flames charging towards the elves and he shook his head and muttered "reckless." The boy was going to eventually get himself killed with that behavior hell it would have been a suicide run for any normal person. But Willow wasn't just any normal person.

he watched his weapon transform into a three-foot-long cane and was somewhat bemused. A transformable weapon that could extend and shrink. It was a decent quality item to have and it appeared to be quite durable, after taking all those bashes and hits a normal wooden weapon would have cracked or broken by now. He spat on the ground and applauded as the orange haired human dook out the two of the three remaining elves.

"Not bad not bad at all willow captain would be proud, lets hurry and finish this so we can get back to the captain before the marines or worse more of these little bastards show up." He grinned childishly but he was rather happy at the moment. He had gotten to get into a fight and he and his friend had done some pretty major ass kicking on the little devils that were plaguing the town. He didn't know much about this willow but after spending a little more time with him there was moore than what the young lad was showing on the outside. He even felt a modicome of pride for the lad as a crew mate, he would have his back no matter what sort of pinch he was in Dai would do his damnest to help.

By the time that Daimaru was talking to Willow, the fight was still being conducted. This last elf being much more tenacious and spry than his cohorts! "Oh right. Let me just get on that and accommodate you this thing tries to kill me." He retorted to the fish man, giving a bit of sass while he focused on avoiding those razor claws, going as far as to keep his weapon out of the swings' way. There was a clash finally, Willow and the elf bracing against each other, only for Willow to punt the little guy a few feet away.

As the elf landed, he grumbled and prepared a series of ornaments, ready to throw them. A total of seven in his arms and ready to lob them one by one at Willow.  However, the ghost warrior would have no such thing happening. "One Moon! One Moon! One Moon!" He grunted and thrust his arm outward three times, lashing his weapon out as many times, the first hitting that ornament in the elf's throwing hand, the other two striking the other ornaments to knock them out of the guy's arm, and the last striking across his temple.

Willow was huffing and panting, clearly exhausted from putting his body through the ringer to use all of his skills like that in such a quick succession. It was clear at this point.  Even ghosts that came out of Willow's person just flopped face first on the ground, indicating just how exhausted he was.  Like the ghosts were some sort of life bar or something.  But he wasn't done yet.  Nor was that enemy of his.

While the Elf was flailing about and trying to get the fire off of his body, Willow had a moment to take in a deep breath for four whole seconds, holding it for seven seconds, and exhaling for five seconds.  Doing this he was able to calm himself down, bringing his staff up along his back and right shoulder while holding it in his right hand. He was steeling his nerves and preparing to end this in one more clash.

The elf prepared to charge, running and throwing itself at break neck speeds for Willow.  Willow however just slipped his feet up on the ground, corkscrewing in place as he ducked far down, right knee bent and torso lurching forward until his shoulder was touching his knee, his left leg extended as far as it possibly could be. While the elf was going up and overhead, Willow was spinning his staff around with one hand, bringing himself back up to his feet, thrusting his left hand upward to grab onto the staff and perform a pommel strike with it straight into the Jolly Jingler's stomach, sending the little guy high into the air, only for Willow to prepare for the guy to come back down.

As the Elf was falling, Willow took two steps back, only to perform a small gainer flip with his staff being brought around like a bat, swinging it with both hands, left hand a third of the way up on the length, right hand near the base as the main body was brought into the Elf's nose and face, "Now you and your magic, off with ye!" He shouted while following through with the swing, sending the elf onto the stone stairs down to the docks as he toppled down the flight.

Willow sighed and rolled his shoulders backwards, looking at Daimaru, "So am I carrying you or are you carrying me?" He was ready to head back and get their wounds treated, it was just a matter of deciding who would be supporting the other on the way back, and thus the story ended on a joke.
