Normal/Social Topics
Topics do not always have to be Voyages or Grand Voyage for them to happen. A Normal topic can always be made purely for Character Development and are what bounties are regarded as. Encounters with World Powers, Sparring, Socials, etc. Their lengths can vary and the content can range from a multiple of things. Consider them like specials, filler. They can serve as important interactions but generally don't directly impact the plot of the site. Like any topic NPCing can be requested(usually if there is a presence of a WP). Or if the topic requires NPC intervention a NPC will step in. A example of a instenses a NPC will step in being if you decided to attack the Sea Train. These types of topics also can be Flashbacks.
Unlike Voyages and Grand Voyages they do not need to be graded unless they are Island altering or the interactions were PvP(not scripted fights). For those seeking rewards for the topic will not have them treated as a Voyages or Grand Voyages. As only two types of rewards can be given per evaluated topic, if rewards are deemed earned. For grading place the completion in your character sheet and then post in the Voyage notification topic.
What also sets Normal/Social topics apart from others is that they can be locked. The first post indicating all potential participants. Locked topics are exempt from claiming rewards. Topics will be unlocked if a NPC has to come in or if actions deem it not a isolated encounter. A isolated encounter being a crew talking on their ship or other areas that belong to one of them, such as turf.
Bounties
Current bounties avaiable can be found *here* Their information is not long or lacking a bit due to the fact those undertaking them have the freedom to add to their story, personality, and purpose. We trust members to pilot the marks they take themselves and to do so fairly. And only Deva Bounties require a NPC. Should a Bounty be taken and not performed with integrity a staff sanctioned NPCer will take control of the topic or the outcome will be changed. A example for a changed outcome is if you powerplay through a entire bounty you end up being captured and sent to Impel(Pirate, Revolutionary, or Vagabond) or severely wounded and forced to do a recovery topic(Marine or Vagabond). If you lose in a bounty thread you may be made a sworn enemy; if you did something to warrant that. Regardless the bounty will increase in difficulty when the PC or PCs embarking on the topic can't bring them down the first go around.
Bounties now have sworn enemies. Which are created from your IC actions. Whether it be from killing/capturing a bounty or crossing a World Power NPC. The underlined information in the descriptions comes into play when those mentioned in the Sworn enemy section embark on this bounty. If it lists more than one individual all must be present within the topic. A special reward is able to be obtained once completed. A special reward isn't the only thing that can be gained if you complete a Bounty as a sworn enemy. As beating them doesn't just open up a potential for more bounties with that plot line; but may even cause a Island wide event.
You will claim the bounty you wish to undertake or give up within this topic. But, to turn it in for grading place the completion in your character sheet and then post in the Voyage notification topic.
You have two weeks to complete a bounty upon taking it. If you are a sworn enemy you are given additional week. An extension can also be requested if you are showing progress within the topic. Max 2 extensions. If you run out of time other players can also lay claim on the bounty and attempt to do it before you in their own topic.
Bounties can be recruited. Those able to be recruited having a * by their name. This does not come with anyone under them if they have a crew. Also some NPCs will have attributes over the cap we allow. To keep them within the cap you are allowed to decide where they take this attribute cut if you are successful in recruiting them. Finally, if their bounty is triple your own you can not recruit them.
Attributes for each bounty will go in this order.
S&P - E&D - S&A - S&W - P
Voyages Topics
Voyages can be regarded as Movies. Where the plot can be quickly resolved without really impacting the character or the world around them. New places being created that usually at the end are destroyed or never visited again. Voyages can be Flashbacks.

Gran Voyages
Gran Voyages would be our version of story arcs of Anime with them needing multiple episodes for the plot to be settled. Gran Voyages grant default rewards like Beli, Bounty, Doriki, or Prestige but they can also grant additional rewards if staff see fit. The higher the Level the Gran Voyage, the more reward types (Doriki, Prestige, Beli,) you can expect to get along with larger sums of these reward types. Here on Strawhat there are 5 different types of Gran Voyages: Story, Item, NPC, Devil’s Fruit, and Turf. There are an array of rewards one can get from Gran Voyages. You'll find each possible reward you can get from a Gran Voyage type underneath their description.
Story - Story Gran Voyages are done to progress the story of your character. These are the Gran Voyages where you will be able to focus on developing your character and progressing them towards their goals.
Primary Rewards: Doriki, Prestige, & Beli.
Item - Item Gran Voyages are done in order to acquire unique items you couldn’t get otherwise. Ships, weapons off the Meito List, NPCs or other unique custom created items; all can be gained by completing one of these Gran Voyages.
Primary Rewards: Beli & Item you're hunting.
Devil Fruit - Devil Fruit Gran Voyages are done in order to acquire a devil fruit. Your character doesn’t need to be actively searching for a devil fruit during this Gran Voyage but it will result in the acquisition of a devil fruit by your character whether on purpose or not. While there can be an unlimited amount of participants, only two participants can gain a Devil Fruit from a single Gran Voyage. Common Zoans can be earned in level one gran voyages. All Paramecia, Logia, and Ancient Zoans can be earned in level two gran voyages. Mythical Zoans can only be achieved in level three gran voyages. NPCing is only required when voyaging for a Mythical Zoan, but also in any voyage where a high-powered or world position NPC is present.
Primary Rewards: Doriki & Devil Fruit you're hunting.
NPC -NPC Fruit Gran Voyages are done in order to acquire an already approved NPC. Your character doesn’t need to be actively searching for or trying to persuade this NPC during this Gran Voyage but in the end it will result in them joining your company whether on purpose or not. While there can be an unlimited amount of participants, only two participants can gain an NPC from a single Gran Voyage.
Primary Rewards: Beli & NPC you're hunting.
Turf -Turf Gran Voyages redone in order to acquire pieces of Turf. For more information, consult the Turf Wars System.
Primary Rewards: Beli, Doriki, Prestige, Bounty, & Turf.
NPCing
Sometimes we don't want to be in complete control of things in our Gran Voyages. You can opt to have None, Light, Moderate, or Heavy NPCing in your Gran Voyage. Choosing to have a level of NPCing will make it so someone not participating in your Gran Voyage, if not Staff someone they deem suitable if they agree, will post and change the flow of things. Of course these things will be reasonable, but it can make your Gran Voyage take an unexpected turn plot wise or even make foes more challenging to battle. Those who assist in NPCing Gran Voyages will be rewarded for their services, consult a member of staff if you wish to sign up to occasionally be asked to NPC scenarios. Light: Light NPCing is more so prompt based NPCing. The NPC will post a general overview of what the NPCs of the topic are doing or of what is going on in the environment every 2-3 rounds of posting. NPC can be skipped.
Moderate: Moderate NPCing entails prompt based NPCing as well. However, the NPCer will more often take control of certain NPCs and potentially carry out more specific and personalized actions that are directed towards the topic's participants. Expect a post ever 2-3 rounds of posting. NPC can be skipped after 48 hours.
Heavy: Heavy NPCing is practically having a whole other PC in your topic, but they will also be in control of many other variables like the environment and other NPCs in the topic. If you opt for Heavy NPCing expect a challenge understand it is possible of your character can take substantial damage if there is combat. Expect a post every 1-2 rounds of posting. NPC cannot be skipped, so understand these scenario will take more time than usual to complete.
