Ten years into the past there was a time where Yuurei had left his home island. It was one time, and it was one that he wouldn’t be able to remember. His father would take him on this trip with him as the man of importance had to do one last thing in Sabaody Archipelago before never venturing to the outside world. This was a story of how one boy met six other kids on this island, an event that would soon cause all of them to meet later in their lives.

The trip to the Sabaody wasn’t as bad as Yuurei would think it was. The young lad was running around the deck of the ship with his hands in the air. He was excited to be able to go out and leave his home for the first time. He enjoyed the smell of the sea, and the nice breeze the brushed against him. The sun was out while the clouds had spread apart allowing the sun to work its magic. It wouldn’t take long for the ship to dock itself into the port side of the island. Yuurei had moved to the front of the ship as he was looking at the number of people that were here. It was so lively here, and he could only imagine the things that could be done here. He was just happy to be here with his father more than anything.

”Dad it’s so nice here.” He said out loud.

Yuurei’s father had looked at his son as he walked towards him, and patted him on his head as he ruffled his hair. He smiled because he remembered the times that he had been through here in his youth.

”It is, but there is always danger no matter where you go. Always remember that Yuu; every island has its bad side and their good side. Where we live is no different.” He said as he stretched his arms into the air.

Yuurei listened to his father, and he didn’t think any island could be worse than the one he was in. The things the Marines did to his friend was unforgivable. He wasn’t sure what they had done, but he had lost another one of his friends because they had gotten caught for the group.

”Yuu, I’m going to handle business. If you want to look around go ahead, but please make sure you don’t leave the port side.” He said to his son.

”Okay dad. I will make sure of that.” He said with a smile on his face.

Yuurei’s dad smiled at his son and he hopped off of the ship and onto the docks. The young boy would watch his dad walk off and he would wave at him as his father would do the same thing. It wouldn’t take long, but his father would soon be out of his sight leaving him with the other men that this ship belonged to.

”I guess I will go look around this place. It looks huge, and who knows I might meet some cool kids.” He said out loud to himself.

Yuurei would make his way to the gangplank that the ship had out for their members to move freely. He walked down the plank happily and as jolly as ever. He started walking away from the ship as he was looking around the entire area amazed about how nice things were here. His eyes moved to the different amount of markets here. He could see the awesome clothes being sold, the smell amazing food in the distance. He was caught in a trance from all of this excitement, but what he would soon realize was that he had ventured off and away from the port side.

Gideon Wodan, a young forty-seven year old giant, though looking like a giant late-teen, had been walking the streets of a random town... or city, he wasn't sure at this point, on one of several conjoined islands people have been calling an 'archipelago'. The young giant was lost, though he did his best not to show how upset he was; him being a giant had already caught attention no matter where he went. He had left the safety of his home island just two years ago, on the search to find his mother who had been taken by the marines. At the time, he wasn't sure why they had taken her, but reading through the newspapers some time after, he come to realize she was falsely accused for murdering a marine official. Gideon knew it wasn't true, and figured out who was responsible once he's seen the name of his father's old friend on the paper 'Tony Gurren' aka 'Loki'.

It swam in the giant's mind that Mr. Gurren was the one who framed both his parents, which caused the marines to open fire on his father and arrest his mother as well as him, though because of his mother, managed to escape. But like a coward, he hid on his home island until he worked up the courage to take matters into his own hands. It seemed simple enough, 'Find Tony Gurren, force him to admit his wrong-doing to the marine, and free mom', though after two years of searching, walking and swimming aimlessly from island to island didn't land him any clues. Most the islands he visited, he couldn't recall their names.

Finally he decided to take a week's rest on this 'archipelago' before taking off again. Though Gideon didn't want to admit it, as time went on, he was losing faith, little by little. Now he sat on an abandon newspaper stand while frying three turkeys on a frying pan over a metal barrel that had it's contents set aflame.

Gideon sighed as he looked about the streets, people cared little for one another because they barely cared about themselves, and those who did care about themselves try to work hard or steal to make end's meat, even the children look to be struggling... except for one kid that seems to walk down the street wearing very fancy jewelry, most likely he would be jumped and robbed, Gideon hoped it wouldn't be the case. Few tried to steal the turkeys from Gideon, but it was easy for him to swat them away. As each time the sun sets before Gideon's eyes, a fragment of hope vanishes, but doesn't return when the sun does.

This wasn't the plan... none of it was.

Spoiler:

wild hair, dirt stained face and tattered clothing a common look for the homeless orphan known as Oda Fujiyama. His name is the only thing not changed after being taken from his parents in his home country of Wano years prior. Seeing as at first he did not understand the customs or spoke the way they did outside of Wano others on the Sabaody did not help him. Seeing as he had no one to take care of him, he had to fend for himself and find places to live. Most of his homes where unsavory and he had to steal from others to survive, changing the once good nature kid into something else completely.

A strange feeling washed over the kid today, he had no clue what but he felt as if his day would be quite interesting. Coming from his more than unsafe home within Sabaody with his stolen bokken in hand and thought of what he could steal today. While strolling he came upon four people, two of them catching his eye the most. The first one was of darker skin color sporting what seemed to be very expensive jewelry and a purple haired girl with bread in her head. With no hesitation he made his way towards them "Who are you and why have i never seen you on my island before?" the kid said to them all as the bokken was clenched in his fist. He had to think of something fast to get the jewelry or the bread from one of them, maybe snagging both would be better.

Amelia had just finished two large stacks of paperwork needed to keep her business afloat, her eyes were tired and she felt stress so she decided a little relaxation would do her some justice and immediately walked to the back of her building where a patio was put in place with a beach chair looking out towards the port side, as she sat in the chair and started to melt into it she saw a few kids running about playing together and the scenery put her at ease to the point she fell asleep but as she did so she started to ask herself a curious question, "If she hadn't been born on Zou and looked down upon as a hybrid, would her life be  any different?" It was just a simple question one would ask themselves and forgot knowing it was completely illogical, but at this time Amelia who fell into a dream didn't know that it would later be known to herself as the truth of her early life and everything she thought had happened was a fabricated lie.

9-year-old Amelia:

A nine-year-old Amelia had just woken up in the afternoon while at the same time her mother had just finished making her favorite meal which consisted of a grilled cheese sandwich with lemonade, unfortunately for her mother and father this meal also made her super hyper so when she finished it and started bouncing around her mother called out to her, "Hey Amelia, how about you work out some of that extra energy and go play outside, but be sure to wear your usual hat and wrap your tail around your waist to cover up your less human parts, and please be sure to stay away from Area 1-29.~" Amelia wondered what was so bad about Area 1-29, she knew it was considered a region in Sabaody but most of the pirates she had seen come from there were rather nice to her making her rather curious on why her mother always advised her not to go there  but no matter what she thought she answered her mother, "Yes mommy, Amelia will be a good girl!"

Amelia immediately ran upstairs changing from her night clothes and put on black knee socks and hotpants of the same color, her shirt was also black but had white straps and thrills at end of the shirt that stopped just below her navel, and a pair of golden brown sandals, she didn't like wrapping her tail around her waist and hiding it under her clothing nor wearing a hat to cover her ears but her mother and father was advent in making sure she did it and she wanted them to be happy so she did just that before running back down the stairs saying a quick goodbye and then running outside the door of her home.

Her home was located on the third floor of a large venue of small apartments that were stacked like stairs, so once Amelia was outside she hopped over the rail and started falling onto the roof of the second level before beginning to sprint, she really didn't like having to hide her racial traits but in this way she didn't have to hide anything and ran freely as she wished without a care in the world. She had been jumping the rooftops of Saboady for a few minutes now and felt her energy level dropped but that thought was blown away when she realized there was something in front of her that far surpassed any of the nearby rooftops, the sight of this object caught her attention to the point her eyes started dazzling with utter curiosity and excitement of what she found, she didn't hesitate to keep running towards it until she finally reached the edge of another roof only to make the largest leap she could towards the object before latching onto it with tiny claws as she said, "I GOT YOU!!~"

Yuurei couldn’t help himself with his fascination and he was young, so this usually happened. He kept moving through the streets not paying attention to the people around him, until someone spoke out loud. The sound of the voice was coming from his right side, which brought him to look in that direction to see who it was. He saw a kid with a snake chain on him, and the amount of gold that used to make the chain. His eyes sparkled with excitement when he saw the snake chain, and he moved closer to the kid that to get a better look at the snake chain that he were in his sights. He didn’t care about the second part he said because he’s used to bad things happening all the time where he lived. When he got close enough to grab the chain someone else had spoken up to him, which stopped him for a few seconds.

He looked at the girl who had approached them now and she had offered them bread. He was about to say no, but then his stomach growled with hunger. He didn’t eat as much as he should have, but now he had another opportunity. Yuurei moved towards the girl and grabbed one of the breads that she was offering to him and the guy with the gold chain. He didn’t hesitate take a bite out of the bread, and he could only moan from how amazing it was.

”This is some good bread.” He said to the girl.

It wouldn’t take long for someone else to approach the three of them, and it looked like this kid was older than him as well. Yuurei noticed he was holding a weapon, which brought him to listen to what he had to say.

”Me? I’m not from around here, that’s for sure and that is why you never saw me around. Still, since you asked the name is Yuurei. Thank you for the bread and who are all of you? What are you planning on doing with that bokkan you holding man?” He asked him this question.

While he had asked these questions, his free hand couldn’t help but move towards Nazaki’s chain. He reached for it and if he succeeded in grabbing it he would pull the chain towards his direction, and his attention wouldn’t be on the man with the weapon anymore, but the chain that was around Nazaki’s neck. Yuurei’s eyes would sparkle again because he didn’t see gold before. He was poor and his family didn’t have money, which surprised him that his father was able to make a trip to this island. Still, there was one person here who looked like he was in a bad place.

"Yay, I'm glad you like it!" the girl said with a chipper tone. She was making friends! Then, she took a bun herself and she started to eat it as well.

"Eyehm Fi-" she started off, with her face full of bread, until she swallowed it down and wiped her mouth with her arm. "I'm Phillipa!" she admitted to Yuurei.

She then looked at the kid with the bokken sword and she continued her introduction. "People also call me 'Lady Sofia'. I'm Phillipa Sofia, the Lady of Sofia. Or just Lady Sofia. I'm probably talking too much about this aren't I? I am. Sorry. I like bread."

Then, she noticed that a giant had appeared nearby, looming over them, by following the reactions of the others around her.

It was the first time that she had been in the presence of one of them. And she could only stare at it, paralyzed in fear of what could happen from here on from it. Should she run away? Her legs wouldn't move. The others didn't seem to be moving away from it either - maybe it was... friendly?

"Kyaaaaa!" she eventually whimpered out, and started to run away, but she soon tripped on her own dress, but she managed to hug her precious basket of bread so that most of it wouldn't spill. "I-It's a giant!" she exhaled, following Nazaki's panic, and started to try to put herself back standing up again as she could, her basket in tow.

Gideon was lost in thought as he sat upon the small abandon newspaper stand. A group of children had gathered by his feet and at first they weren't aware of the giant and in turn, Gideon didn't pay them mind, he just continued to heat up the turkeys over the flame that was being contained by the metal barrel. He had thought back to when he was young like them, though he was still much taller than any human, he was innocent of the world and found happiness everywhere he looked, and as he looked upon the children by his feet, he knew that one day they all would know how the world truly was.

The sound of the children beginning to panic snapped Gideon from his daydream, nearly causing him to drop his skillet. They were fearing him as if he was some kind of monster; one kid claimed he was going to eat them. Gideon groaned, he often get this reaction from human children; he had never knew how humans were towards giants until he left home, now he sometimes wishes he avoided civilizations during his travels.

"It's ok, I'm going to eat you, I'm just-" Gideon began trying to calm the children, hoping they wouldn't draw in any law enforcement, but something caught him off. Something had dropped onto his neck, claws dug in, causing the giant to react by jumping to his feet and yelling at the top of his lungs. He hopped around, stomping his feet while trying to use his free hand to swat away whatever insect or beast that was trying to rip his neck open, although he was so terrified he didn't manage to move his hand anywhere near his neck, fearing the unknown killer would devour his hand too, "Get it off me!"

Oda kept his bokken tight in his hand as he looked upon the other children who seemed to be eating his bread. The first one to answer him was the black haired boy who called himself Yuurei, who seemed to have a very slick hand as he attempted to go for the heavily jeweled kid. How dare he go after my necklace! young Oda had said to himself with a rage of the other thief but his thoughts where off trailed by the introductions of the other two, Nazaki and Lady Sofia. Nazaki had questioned him and asked who made him king. "I, Oda Fujjiyama, have always been king around these parts! and anyone who questions me shall be handled by my bokken!" he said proudly, making sure they heard him well.

After replying to Nazaki, the purple headed girl spoke and said he name was Sofia. She went on a small ramble about her name that slightly annoyed Oda and made her want to shut up but before he saw the kid Nazaki start walking towards him. He immediately began to assume a battle position "do you really want to get a beating by me kid?" he said as he smirked before noticing that Nazaki had stopped three meters before him. Oda began to losen his stance a bit before the grand freakout began. Nazaki had fallen to the ground in fear as there was something behind him, making oda turn around and assume an attack stance once more.

It was a giant that had scared both Nazaki and Sofia but Oda did not sway. He had ran into a giant before after being taken from his home land but the pure difference in their size always left him in awe. [b|"What is your name, giant and why are you in my home![/b] he yelled aloud before noticing a fox looking female jump on the giants neck, causing the giant to begin freaking out and stomping around wildly. Oda had to move as fast as he could to not be stepped on by the giant and began yelling at the figure that had cause his panic. "Get down you insolent beast or he will crush us all!" Oda yelled loud enough for her to hear, it sounded more of an order than a tip.

As she climbed up the excessively large object neck she noticed that it wasn't an object at all but a living person as she could feel warmth flowing to her from the tip of her claws, she wondered just what type of skeleton system and inner organs kept such a mysterious being running, was their inner workings like any regular human or mink or perhaps they had something completely different, Amelia didn't know but her curiosity streak was burning to be fulfilled. Unfortunately, Amelia wouldn't have to long to linger just as she made it close to the giant person's earlobe she noticed a tinge of red meaning her claws might have been digging deeper into their skin then she thought which caused the giant to hop around while screaming in their attempt to figure out what was on them, she wondered how such a tiny thing like herself could even be noticed by something so humongous and it only made her even more curious about the giant person, she would snap out of her own thoughts as she hard a voice and looked down below to see a kid screaming at her that she was an insolent beast and that she needed to get down before it crushed them all.

Amelia wanted to scratch the kid's eyes out for calling her an insolent beast but he was right about one thing and it was the giant could crush them with his hoping to foot to foot, that coupled on with the fact that Amelia's mother told her to avoid law enforcement by not making a scene which she found herself right at the center on made her comply with getting down. Amelia said it loudly enough while she was close to the giant's ear, "Sorry Mr.Giant I didn't mean to hurt you I'll get down now." She said as she retracted her claws as she slides down onto the giant's shoulder and sat down for a moment, "You also better stop making a fuss, law enforcement coming around is the last thing either one of us need." She said as she got back up and took a few steps backward until she fell off the giant's shoulder only to hug them tight as she slides the rest of the way downwards until touching the ground where the others were.

Amelia stared intensely at the group like she was ready to fight every last one of them, although the reality of it was that she was just studying each of them as it was a boy wearing an eyepatch, another one with darkened skin with a gold snake around their neck, a third boy who was dreadfully filthy but was holding a type of wooden stick, and lastly a girl who seemed to be squeezing the life out of a piece of bread as if it was her own life. Suddenly Amelia faces relaxed as she took a gasp realizing she had been glaring at them for the last minute and didn't even introduce herself, "My name is Amelia, Amelia Velts~ Nice to meet you." She said casually as if she had just meant new kids at school to play with completely ignoring the previous mood, she turned back and yelled at the giant, "MY NAME IS AMELIA~! NICE TOO MEET YOU MR.GIANT~!!!"

Hearing everyone introduce themselves and hearing the name of Nazaki, and Phillipa he was glad that they were able to introduce themselves. The guy who spoke rudely to them had proclaimed himself to be Oda. While he was trying to pull the chain from Nazaki’s neck, the boy had fallen to the ground, and the chain was now in his hand. He could only continue to look at it, but then heard Nazaki shouting about a giant eating them all, and that he should save the girl.

”What giant? There is no…” His eyes moved away from the gold chain for a second and noticed the giant behind Oda.

His eyes open wide when he saw the enormously huge guy behind Oda. It seemed like this was something new to him, and unlike the other two who were freaking out Yuurei could only smile at him and wondered why the two of them were freaking out. He took a bite out of his bread, and then looked at the jewelry again.

”Nazaki, it’s just a big guy right? Why are you freaking out?” He said to Nazaki.

Then the ground started to shake a bit and he looked back at the giant as he started hopping around. His jawed dropped as he looked at the hopping giant who was trying to attack something. Yuurei nervous now as he started running around avoiding being trampled by the big guy in his sights.

”I don’t wanna die!” He shouted out loud.

Yuurei said this as he noticed that Oda was the only person who was not scared about the giant’s hopping around. This guy was the only who noticed that there was a girl on the giant and insulted her. This brought Yuurei to slowly stopped running as he was no longer close enough to be stomp by the giant. He didn’t like how Oda spoke to everyone, and he didn’t like how he spoke about the female.

”You have really bad manners, Oda.” He said to him as he noticed that a small figure was sliding down the giant.

It wouldn’t take long for the girl to land on the ground, and this girl had been looking straight at them. Yuurei blushed and rubbed the back of his head because he wasn’t sure why she was staring so hard at them. It wouldn’t take long for her to say something, and she had revealed her name to them. The only thing now was for the giant to stop hopping around possibly introduce himself to the group as well.

”Nice to meet you, Amelia, we have this guy right here being rude. He’s definitely not nice that’s for sure.” He said this.

Yuurei’s eyes moved to the gold chain again that he had in his hand, and started to admire it again. His eyes sparkled with excitement when he was looking at it again, but he was aware of his surroundings and the people around him. He kept eating the bread that was in his free hand as he was enjoying the bread he got from Phillipa.

”Watsh you guysh up to anywaysh.” He mumbled his words to the group of people and hoped that the giant would calm down.

Sofia slowly stood up, seeing how the giant didn't seem to be at all menacing as he initially seemed to be - at least, the others around her didn't seem to be all that scared anymore. Maybe he was just as good as a guy as the rest of people here.

And then, she noticed more people, some... animal person? She had never seen this kind of people before, was she sick? She said her name was Amelia Velts too, which seemed oddly normal.

The girl would then approach the one who had declared himself as "King", and make a short curtsy to him - as she had been taught to do to those who were nobles just like her, by mind-numbing lessons given to her by the assistants of her father. She had mostly zoned out of those, so she didn't remember all of it, but she did recall quite a bit, she thought.

"A pleasure, mister king sir..." she muttered, trying to do her best to do the etiquette that she had been taught.

Sofia would then look up to the giant. Did he like bread? She sure hoped he did, and there was only one good way to figure it out. She got the biggest bun she could get from her basket and she lifted it up towards the enormous man.

"Do you like bread, giant sir?" she wondered, and waved the bread in her hand, to then get another bun and start to eat it as well herself. "They taste very good! I think you would like it!"
