bounty
A bounty is a government-issued reward placed on an individual and awarded to whoever can Capture or Kill that target. For most Pirates, Bounty is like a competitive sport and honor. The higher one's Bounty is, the more the World Government recognizes they have the ability to tip the balance of the world.
Bounty Hunting
Bounty Hunting is the act of pursuing and turning in wanted individuals for their reward. There are stages to the Bounty Hunting process and it applies to hunting both PCs & NPCs.
Stage One - Track
In a thread tagged [Tracking], you will gather information about your mark, more likely their location, but you can always sniff around for details about them, through rumors, sightings, etc. This thread must be at least 3 post, but all who wish to participate in following Stages of the Hunt must post at least once. This thread can be a Travel Thread who's destination is the location of your mark, provided you have the means and have met the aforementioned requirements.
Stage One - Hunt
This thread is the actual encounter of with the Mark. If the Hunt is a PC, you can invade any of their threads that began the day of or after your Tracking thread.
Stage One - Collect
Turn Overs
A Turn Over is where a Wanted person is turned over to the World Government and it marks the completion of a Bounty.
- There are no predefined actions that warrant a certain amount of Bounty. Bounty is always assigned on a case by case basis.
- Every unlawful act you commit will not increase your Bounty. In a sense, you must 1-Up your last Bounty awarding act to get a Bounty increase.
- Bounties will either be wanted "Dead or Alive" or wanted "Alive". Turning in a Bounty dead only pays-out 50% of the assigned Bounty since no public execution can be held.
- Bounties persist until the wanted being is confirmed dead.
- Pirates who become a Royal Member of the Seven Warlords, also known as Shichibukai, have their Bounty Frozen. This means it cannot go up for the length of their term. Additionally, turning in a Shichibukai would not procure a reward since their Bounty is Frozen.

A Turn Over is where a Wanted person is turned over to the World Government and it marks the completion of a Bounty.
- After subduing your Bounty or obtaining proof of their death, preferably their head, you must transport your mark to Marine officials in a second thread. This can be seen as a Transport Thread that has the same rules as standard Travel(last 12 hours and interruption rules) and also can be a Travel Thread.
- Bounties can only be turned in on World Government controlled islands.
- Your turn in topic, thread No.3, is a Private topic tagged [Turn In]
- Rewards are always given to a single person, if they had help, it's their . Team effort or not, the World Government does not care and how the reward is cut is for the participants to work out. Turn Overs can happen at the end of a Bounty Hunt topic or done in an entirely different topic. However, for every topic occurring after intial capture, naturally the mark is seen as in your possession and should they be a PC they can participate in subsequent topics and attempt escapes.
