While following his captain to wherever they headed, Spook noticed the captains interest in his toys increase by the minute.
Yes, if you don't want him to, tell him to stop following you. Also, we could order kebab tonight, using the toy as a delivery boy.
Spook smacked his lips at the thought. The start of his great empire began with this toy, never again will he do a menial task.
Speaking of the main roster--
While mid speech, Spook got interrupted by Lucas, unaware of what he was doing, he carried a large bag. It was heavy, Spook could tell from how full the bag was. Lucas's queue for entering was Spooks queue to signal Kad, making it obvious that he wanted something from him.
Oi, Kad, get my man a cold beer, and something to eat. I'll have another white russian, and get captain a glass of milk. After you come back with those things, I want to hear music, let's have some Beethoven up in this bitch, 7th symphony-2nd movement of course.
By placing his hand on the head of the toy, he expanded him slightly in size--making the "menial" tasks he was given easier. Kad gave an approving nod, and went off to get all of those things, asking other grunts on the ships for directions to certain items as he did so--though sadly he couldn't comply with his request for a musical piece.
Something big had happened, was Lucas offered a warlord position? The shine of the revealed beli reflected in Spooks eyes. He stepped closer to the bag, to inspect the contents, while Lucas explained what his cut got him.
[1] Spook acknowledged his new weapons. A pistol and a shotty - impressive. What did he do to get all of that beli though? What Lucas said next explained the question Spook had. He begun stroking his chin a little, and looking a little more at the beli, while the two men held a talk about the unfortunate runt who resulted in all of this money. This was effectively enough money to be permanently retire with--ironically, someone was retired permanently in return. Spook himself had acquired decent armor, it was quite durable.
Jackal spoke of getting firepower for his crew--this was most likely for the ball. Was his plan to draw the ship into battle? It could be possible, since this thing flied. But it didn't seem that practical--if the ship got hit or something, it'd cause everyone to have to evacuate. They'd be fish in a barrel. An open target for Mother and her ragaband to take aim and fire at the panicking men who are soaring through the sky, from a ship assblasted to bits. As it turned out, Spook was given a share of this, he couldn't help but smile.
Thank you for the resources, Captain.
Spoken with a million dollar smile, a single tear he shed.
He didn't exactly have a frame of reference for how tough the enemies in the ball were going to be. Front-line fighting wasn't Spook honed himself in, but if push came to shove that's where he'd be at the end anyway. While Jackal got settled on his chair, his toy Kad returned with the items in question all neatly placed on a tray that he passed around. Upon receiving his third glass of white Russian for today, Spook downed whatever was left of the second one and gave the glass to the toy. Spook listened carefully to what Jackal said next, seemingly a referee had given the crew a black card? It only raised more questions than they answered. Immediately after passing the 'black-cards' around, Jackal explained what they meant. The mob had put a hit on them, which pretty much aligned up with the ball soon--no surprises were had, really. This just meant that they were committed more than before, no going back now kind of deal. There is another player, another Mink called Wild King, the rest of what Jackal said was pretty much gibberish, save for the fact that his bounty topped his own.
How high is your bounty anyway?
Spook scratched his nose and immediately fired off his next questions
Can't we pit this Wild King against Mother, two birds with one stone? Or do you suppose that Wild King is employed by Mother?
After taking a sip of his drink, another question came to mind.
Either way, this ball sure is gonna be one hell of a hassle, anything I should specifically focus on prior to the ball? Like a skill.
