It didn’t rain a lot in Mock Town, but when it did it didn’t stop the people who lived there from doing what they needed to do. They were still out there with their hair wet, their clothes being drenched. It was a lively place today, and it felt normal like always. The birds flew South from where he was, and they were in a flock. The clouds were covering the sun without a doubt, and they were of a dark color. It was going to rain all day, which was okay. Yuurei was walking through the rain as well. His plan was to get something to drink at the tavern and hang out there for a bit. He didn’t want to hang out on the ship today, which happened from time to time. He waved at the people who smiled at him and knew him.
He didn’t want to be rude, and well they knew that he was a pirate. It wouldn’t take him long to find himself at the tavern. There was nobody stopping him, which was good, and he pulled the door out and walked into the place. The men there looked at Yuurei for a split second and then went back to doing whatever they were doing. They already knew who he was, and didn’t bother trying to start a problem with him. His favorite bartender was here today, which brought a smile to his face. She would always turn him down every time he offered her a good time, and he knew that one day he would convince her. It was why he found her his favorite because she didn’t let him do whatever he wanted with her. It wasn’t just that though, she would give him free drinks from time to time, which enjoyed.
When he got to the counter, he would sit down and smile at her with a wave on top of that. She would nod and wave back at him as she was tending to a customer’s order. When she was done she walked over to Yuurei with the smile that he enjoyed so much.
”How’s your day going for you, Sabrina?” He asked her as he placed his hands on the counter tapping away.
”My day is fine. There are a lot of people here, but I think that is due to the rain. How is it outside? And how are you today Yuurei?” She asked him.
”It’s raining hard out there, as you can see from me, but there are people still doing their thing outside, so it can’t be too bad. As for me, I left the ship and decided to get a drink here. I figured someone would need me for a job, or at least that is the plan.” He said to her.
She nodded and she didn’t ask him what he wanted because she already knew what he would order. She had got his liquor of choice, and on top of that mixed with soda to blend it together. She would hand it to him, and he would smile because he was going to enjoy this. He had brought the glass to his mouth and a nice big sip of the drink and sighed with relief when he moved the cup away from his mouth. It was enjoyable and he couldn’t get enough of it. He placed the glass on the counter as he looked around to see a bunch of men playing arm wrestling amongst each other. There were others who were just chatting their butt off and probably giving out information they wouldn’t or shouldn’t be giving out. There didn’t seem to be anybody worth working for, so he turned around to look at Sabrina once more.
”When do you plan on leaving this place? I want to take out you for a good time tonight. How about it?” He asked her wondering if today would be the day.
She chuckled a bit when she heard what he had said, and then smiled at him.
”No, I’m not going out with you. Impress me first, and we will see if things change. There is that, and I couldn’t even if I wanted to. I’m pulling a double shift here. The other bartender who was supposed to come tonight had gotten sick, so I took their shift. That means when I get out of here it is to go home and sleep for the next day.” She explained to Yuurei.
He chuckled because she had denied him yet again, which was something to be expected. He rubbed the back of his head and wondered if she would even allow him to walk her home.
”Can I at least walk you home and make sure nothing bad happens to you?” He asked wondering what she would say.
She giggled listening to his words because she could tell that he never quit. He took his glass and took more of the liquor as he was looking at Sabrina while she was handling another customer. When she was done with them she made her way towards Yuurei.
”When I’m done with work you better be here to walk with me. If you not then I will be angry with you.” She said to him.
Yuurei could only smile at her when she said this, and he was planning on being there even if he was bleeding out. He drank more now that she had said this, and he had to make sure that he was trashed when this time happen.
”Alright that sounds like a plan and its only right to be angry with me if I don’t show up, so I would understand if you just stayed angry at me.” He said as he was looking at his drink.
He figured one more would do before he left this place. He looked at his drink and started moving the liquid inside of the glass. It was a fascinating thing to do, and it calmed his nerves overall.
