Fenrir Lokison
~The Big Bad Wolf~
Fenrir’s heart pounded as he stared all around the room. A room that was exactly a hundred and twenty-five meters in both length and width. To his back, quite a distance away was a door which led to who knows where. Above him was a single hatch and in front of him was a white screen with a simple safe laying in front of it. Fenrir had been tempted to go for the safe, but his slight movement would be hindered by the sound of a familiar voice speaking. William’s voice echoed throughout the chamber, as he told Jigsaw, well Fenrir what was about to happen. “Dammit... I knew it was too good to be true. Greed will be my downfall.” whispered Fenrir, staring at the screen before it blacked out.
Where he stood, Fenrir could feel the whole building shake as if it were about to explode. He had thought that William had gone against his word and was just going to simply destroy them all. However, from a platform a little distance (2 Meters) in front of the white screen rose a metallic being. Fenrir would only stare at the automaton. It was built like a human, but he knew it operated like a machine. It had no conscience. And no conscience meant that he couldn’t manipulate it like he did most of his enemies. As the automaton appeared, Fenrir felt as if the room was getting increasingly hotter than it already was. The metal sheets that blocked off everything seemed to isolate him in a room filled with kerosene lamps. “With how those lamps are burning. I wouldn’t be surprised if I ran out of oxygen. Though, if the Old Man wasn’t lying. I’ll die long before the carbon dioxide can kill me.” announced Fenrir, as he stared at the metallic automaton.
Two objects that resembled guns were hoisted on its shoulders. On the automaton’s chest were two holes that looked to be covered with glass. From his distance away, he could have sworn it looked like some sort of liquid was moving inside of it. As he looked at the liquid moving, Fenrir could hear a clicking sound. The eyes of the automaton would turn blue. If his eyes were closed, then he would have thought he was riding in a Sea Train. But the looks were deceiving. He had grown up on Karakuri Island. Raised by a group of scientists. He knew a steam-powered machine when he saw one. He would wait for the automaton to begin its assault, but it wouldn’t move an inch. A humming sound could be heard. The sound growing more louder than the clicking. “What th...” Fenrir’s words would be cut off as a stream of fire would be shot from both objects on the automaton’s shoulders. The streams reaching a maximum distance of forty feet before they died back down.
Fenrir had been tempted to jump backwards, but he didn’t let the flames get the best of him. The automaton was a large distance away and the flames couldn’t even reach him from where he stood. He couldn’t give the hunk of junk a chance to catch him slipping. If he knew anything, it was that even machines could operate at extreme speeds. Who knew what would happen if he left an opening? Anyway, Fenrir would continue to observe the machine. The two holes on its chest would come to be covered with steam, as it continued to charge up its engine. “That’s the engine then.” thought Fenrir, wondering how in the hell he was suppose to take the thing out in a mere five minutes. Unlike most, he wasn’t a strong individual, so he doubt he could even put a dent in the machine with a punch. He was fairly certain electro couldn’t even shorten the machine’s circuits, as it wasn’t made like the robots back in Future City.
“Steam-Engines operate by boiling the water inside of it. Maybe I could just hold it off until all the water evaporates inside of it? No... That could take thirty minutes, maybe more.” muttered Fenrir, as a few more seconds pass. Nearly a minute had passed as the machine powered up. He didn’t want to attack it just yet. He had to think of all of his options. Even if that meant spending an entire minute debating. Fenrir’s fingers would move towards the holster on his hip. If anything, the revolver could at least destroy the glass and cause the water to pour out of the machine. With a quick draw, Fenrir would pull the revolver from its holster and fire a shot. The first shot would hit the machine in its face. Directly below the left eye causing a small dent. Flicking the revolver, another bullet would be loaded. With the second shot, the bullet hadn’t gone nowhere near the machine and had hit the wall behind it. More importantly the kerosene lamp causing it to give off a small explosion of one feet in diameter.
A light bulb would click in his head, but he wouldn’t pander too much on the idea just yet. Flicking the revolver yet again, Fenrir would fire another shot that hit the automaton “left peck”. The bullet simply bounced off of the glass and landed on the floor in front of the machine. “The damn glass is bulletproof.” screamed Fenrir. His screaming almost seeming like a signal. As the machine fully activated and would begin charging aimlessly towards the wolf. It was slow at first, but it would quickly begin to gain speed. Using his abilities to his advantage, Fenrir would quickly pounce backwards. He didn’t want to get into the air just yet. He wanted to analyze the machine’s attack patterns. Try to see what its moves were so that he could launch his own counter attack.
