Emanuel D. Angelov
"All losses in this world are due to a lack of ability."
"All losses in this world are due to a lack of ability."
When all was said and done, Emanuel had brutalized them all and stood panting in the back alley with his foot planted on a head while the young boys who were still awake looked on with their faces and eyes showing noticeable apprehension.
Emanuel gave a look over his shoulder with a dismissive squint in his eye before walking out of the alley. Brushing the blood from the tarp, he actually felt better than he had in the last several days. That had been building up for a while and he had done it with barely even thinking about his job in the Marines. If those children chose to be bastards again and turn him in despite saving them, well than he wouldn't care. Those bastards deserved every bit of it and he honestly didn't give a damn. It was the first time he actually felt just a little bit free.
He also didn't care to share words with the children he had spared. In his mind, he would've been happy as well to shove his boot down their throats for horseplay and even thievery, but that would get back to him eventually. Now, he just had to head back as the sun had gone down and he was hoping that this little episode could finally come to a close and he would have a tack-free bed to sleep in tonight that wasn't full of spiders and termites. Hopefully.
