齊天大聖 Sun is down, freezin' cold That's how we already know, winter's here. Calico...No. Fidel D. Marx was alone right now on Jaya Island, isolating himself. 'You'd never understand' Is something that Fidel would tell anyone that'd ask him what he was doing. His beard was still extremely long, it being months since his last shave. He wasn't dirty however. Yah boy had found himself a oasis. If you knew the White Snake Shoda you'd say Fidel's living arrangement resembles that Man's greatly, but the location was different. Weird isolation from Mock town which was miles away. No real path to his location. And the constant honing of his abilities. This time frame for this entire event was after he left the service of someone and before he went to see Nicky West for the second time. Right now he was enjoying time by himself and well he did come out here in search of something. That something being Durandal. The item on the paper his friend(?) the Noble Sofia had brought him. The reason the actual weapon wasn't transported was because it was already on Jaya. It was just that Fidel wasn't aware of the location of the item. He would need it with the plans he had moving forward. Shusui was indeed a powerful blade but he needed to have more than just that in his arsenal. Something that could deal with foes that may be able to manipulate metals. As with how Devil Fruits in this world had begun to show themselves a strange he could only assume there was one that could be a weakness to the normal Swordsmen. He had to evolve just how this world was. His Mind was still set on being the strongest. On being the one to change the world to what he envisioned it should be like. Right now Fidel was naked sitting on a sadly beach. His location was within a littoral cave. Which was just a got damn Sea Cave. You only be able to get in with a row boat or just swimming in. Blowing up the entrance wouldn't case the cave entrance to wided but rather collapse the entire area. That wouldn't mean anyone inside would die. As once inside you could swim deeper into the cave. There were many underwater pathways that lead somewhere. Fidel personal didn't take them as it was fine with the area somewhat away from the entrance. He was living it up on a beach that was around twenty meters from the entrance. You couldn't spot it from the outside but once you got in your glance could easily shift to it. As he built himself a cozy sized home. It's design was like that off a ball, as he thought it'd fit his surroundings better. This also was to test his carpentry skill. As he built it on a patch of earth within the cave, right before that earth turned into sand. It being like this naturally but more additions were added by Fidel to increase the amount available. The dirt and vegetation he brought himself so he wouldn't have too leave so much. Not a quick process as it took a good chunk of a month and constant care to get to where it was. Wood, Wattle, and Daub were used to created this home. Around 14.6 meters in height, 4 meters being the the wooded stands, and the circumference equaled that. It was broken up in two floors. Living quarters and storage quarters. The first floor is where he'd keep all the materials that he use. Whether it be dirt, wood, vegetation, tools, or anything else he thought he'd need. On the second floor is where his bed, which he made, would be. Along with fireplace which he cooked most of his food out of. The entire place was pushed back to be against the cave wall, leaving around two meters of space. Candles and the fireplace is what he used to illuminate his area. He has been contemplating purchasing some dials but hasn't found the time. His last trip up, as the Sea Cave rested underneath the west coast, was to capture fireflies. He knew what they needed to survive and would use them to light up the entire area when the sun didn't share enough light through the cave entrance. With there being a thirty meter distance the light from the crooked opening shined more to the other side, where there was no land. Fidel would wipe some sweet from his brow. He was trying his best to act like a farmer. The only reason he was doing this so well was because he had practice. The memories of his old crew, the pompadour Pirates, getting stranded on a Island for a year helped him. As he was tasked with making sure their food survived the ordeal. As they couldn't hunt all the time due to other events. Fidel would stop as he was finished for today. With the sun setting he'd rather go cool off in the waters before night struck. He had stripped down to his birthday suit and all of his weapons were safely hidden within his makeshift home. He would swim all the way out of the opening and into the open sea. The waves were chill right now. Meaning they weren't knocking him around against the rocks. This was truly relaxing. The paper that he was given to find Durandal began to be repeated out loud.
He made it back into the Sea Cave before the Sun fully went away. He planned to head back outside but he was inside for right now. He had a large vanity mirror leaning against the wall. He had saw it when he decided to deep dive. It was cracked but it was still able to be used. "Fuck...I look rough as shit." Fidel would say as he would look at his hair and facial hair. It was all wild and he just didn't like it. He wasn't a fan of beards even though he had one right now. So he would begin to take care of himself a bit more. First it was time to get rid of his beard. Not all of his facial hair but make it a bit more kept. He wouldn't cut his hair but he'd have to straighten it. He had flat iron plates warming up in the fireplace during the time he would trim his beard. This was going to be painful as he gripped the hot iron with cloth and tried his best to quickly straighten his hair. He would finish but he would now have his hands wrapped up. Puru Puru Puru *click* "Yoooo." Fidel would say into the Den Den Mushi. He had to use his foot to answer the Den Den mushi. They having called when he was tightening his bandages with his mouth. "How has your bounty hunting be going-dono?" This was not Nicky West talking to him. Rather it was the Marine that he knew didn't like him. But with their set up they liked using Calico(Fidel). He brought bounties in and they get the credit for nine out of every ten bounties he brings in. It was a shity system they had come up with. But it was what allowed Calico(Fidel) to not get himself captured when he brought them in. He didn't get any other perks from that sadly. He did have a plan to begin to actually use them instead of them using him. But that still was within the works. "Eh? Um...I haven't gone after anyone in awhile. I did hear through the grapevine that someone caught The hunter. So do yah really need me to hunt?" Fidel kinda wish he took down the Hunter. The Prestige he would've got from a idiot like here would've got him closer to his actual plans. But sometimes you aren't able to do what you want. And this would be the last time he'd bring her up. "This was the deal that you struck with us. Just how you brought us Shoda and the others, dono. We require you to keep doing this, dono. " It wasn't like Calico(Fidel) was being barked at. But the tone used to him was like he was a child. It was a bit irritating but he kept his cool for now. Fidel would roll his eyes, as he only got paid for Shoda. Last time he was even in Mock Town things were calm. "Okay. Just give me time." His response was met with him having the Den Den mushi on the other end hang up. He wasn't bothered by that disrespect but he wouldn't forget it.
