It didn’t take long for Kouse to pass through the wave pool, walking straight into another cave. He was on full alert to any unexpected attack.
The cave he had just left held no clues whatsoever, and he had no more time to waste searching for a treasure that may or may not be real.
The moment Kouse passed through the entrance however and walked into the new cave, he spotted about half a dozen pirates all huddled together, inspecting something Kouse couldn’t yet see.
They were all so engrossed in the task they were doing that they failed to detect his presence, until he spoke up.
“I guess whatever you guys are looking at is the treasure I came here for.” Kouse would say as he adjusted his glasses whilst activating his ‘ROOM' ability.
They all jerked their faces up to look at him, clearly startled.
But their surprise lasted for only a few moments, before two rushed him with swords, aiming for his neck.
Kouse simply waited long enough for both of their sword swings to almost hit him, before activating ‘swap teleportation.’
Instantly swapping positions with the one of the other 4 pirates still protecting the treasure, causing the two with swords to cut off the head of their comrade instead of Kouse.
Although the pirates were all surprised for a moment, Kouse didn’t wait but immediately swung his sword, easily cutting off the heads of the three pirates together with him, with the treasure.
The remaining two pirates apparently lost their will to fight as they turned and fled. They had just witnessed someone teleport and cut off people’s heads without contact. They weren’t prepared to die for money it seemed.
With a slight flick of his hand, the sealed treasure box would float towards him.
Supposing the mysterious companion of his, didn’t do anything to stop him from going through with all his moves, Kouse would speak up as he walked towards the exit.
“Let’s go find a locksmith to open this up, we’ll share whatever is inside, equally.”
Even though he had to get to the hospital soon and this treasure hunt had taken quite sometime, Kouse hoped that whatever was in the chest would be worth it.
