The snow fell lovely on this calm day, the breeze chilled the air more than the snow did and those around the neighboring area knew to appreciate the winter solstice more than it deserved. This island was filled with snow to the brim and never had any plans of change, Asher knew this island was special and deserved its appreciation. Something about an island that let the love fall from the heavens at all time set well with Asher, it pleased him.. Especially because of his own up bringing on Karakuri Island in Future City. "Oi, We pinged the location of the target. He's in an adjacent town little to no populace." said one of the soldiers with Asher. Asher himself had been made aware of his promotion to Commodore but he himself had hopes of the promotion going live soon. He wasn't going to be recognized until that was done. Hopefully his actions on the battlefield doing things such as this would help influence the powers that be in their decision. "Good, I suppose it's time I engage the target." spoke Asher as calm as ever before.
This small town wasn't grand it was probably abandoned once the kingdoms established themselves as dominant. A shame that things went that way because whoever lived here looked as if they had just upped and died as skulls remained in store fronts and people looked generally hopeless. Asher continued to stroll through the small town, the place was nice back when, you could tell. The vibrant colors that are now faded storefronts lined the sky. A chilling whistle escaped Asher's lips while he strolled through the town methodically. A cracked branch could be heard north side of town, the silence was chilling, you could hear a pen drop here and it alerted Asher immediately. He'd stop walking and turn back to his two men, one on his left, one meter in that direction and another on his right one meter in that direction. Signalling Asher would have the three man unit separate in an effort to find the target.
"His name is Wallace." said the man who assigned this bounty to Asher. "And what is Wallace wanted for sir?" The higher marine started to light his cigar while he spoke, "He started off with petty theft, but then he started robbing the kingdoms and his crimes grew more violent as he himself grew more desperate." Asher leaned against the wall "So, he's doing it for something, which makes him believe in his cause." said Asher before the elder marine took a hit from his cigar "Which makes him dangerous, so I'm sending you."
Asher though about his assignment while he split his men up, he remembered his commanding officer explaining how Wallace wasn't really a killer so separating his men should prove to answer some questions he had about Wallace's character, the type of person he was when he was desperate. Going forward Asher continued his personal march through the vacant town before he heard a sharp scream coming from the Northwest portion of town, his march shifted in that direction as Asher was curious who that was that screamed. There was a warehouse, it looked like something from a horror movie as desolate as it was, with caution Asher walked into the warehouse and noticed one of his men was trapped in a bear trap. His leg leaking blood as the steel impaled his leg. "Hmm, he put traps around the island, though I don't know how you took the bait to something like thi-" before Asher could finish he heard rumbling from the darkness of the warehouse. From the shadows the piercing yellow eyes and foaming mouths of hounds could be seen, these things were the size of dire wolves. Standing up Asher began to grip his blade from his hilt, left to right Asher now had his blade in his right hand prepared to face the depths of the shadows.
