Sitting at the table of the captains quarters in the Skycleaver, Mashyuu furiously sketched on a piece of paper. Numbers riddled the space between the edge of the parchment and the lines of the drawings. angles, sizes, and lengths. A second piece of paper had a list of materials needed. The list included horse hair, scraps of cloth, wool, and linen. A large needle, and punches, and silk rope. Along with that a thick leather or tough hide was required and enough so that Mashyuu could afford to make mistakes. He had never tried to make something like this and for someone so large. His eyes were wide with exhaustion. He had gotten roughly eight hours of sleep but it was at the desk and not very comfortable.
Once he was sure he was happy with the measurements and materials he came up with, Mashyuu headed out to Mock Town proper. The winged man, dressed in a long pair of black pants and a white tee shirt pulled his glasses out of his pocket and placed the red lenses on the bridge of his nose. He patted the morning star hanging off his belt and jumped off the Skycleaver, landing at the edge of the city proper. Lazily he walked past the dive bar he normally went to and headed towards a ramshackle building that was a little smaller than your average warehouse in Mock town. Mashyuu pushed the wooden door open and looked around the front room that was lit up by the morning suns rays peeking through the windows. A bell above the door rang, alerting the older dark haired man behind the counter to Mashyuu's presence.
"Hoy! Welcome to Wilhelm's Glorious Wares!" The older man wearing a brown jump suit shouted and took a bow low enough that he nearly hit his head on the counter. Mashyuu smiled wide at the man and walked up to the counter. "Hi there. I'm looking to make a very large gambeson with loops to attach sets of though leather or hide over vital spots.... I'll be transparent and tell you now that I am making it for a giant who is on my crew. I was hoping you could help me with assembling the materials I need." Mashyuu slid the list of needed materials over to Wilhelm and the man took the list and glanced over it once. "Mmm... mmm well I can help you here but I'm afraid you won't be able to afford my price. Maybe you'd be interested in a trade?" Mashyuu nodded up and down and considered his options and trading some work might be better than simply purchasing the items, even though Mashyuu was sure he could afford the man's prices. "Sure, what's the trade?"
Wilhelm grinned wide and leaned over the counter and rubbed his rough hands together. "Back when I was a young punk, I made my living by hunting large beasts. Seakings, wild animals, monsters... If you could hunt it, I chased it. As I got older I fell in love and settled down here in Mock Town. I live towards the edge of town, opposite the docks, and there are signs of a large beast in the area. Getting closer and closer to the town. I think its a very large gator. Maybe something much more dangerous. I can't hunt it down at my age. But you being a blacksmith on Mock Town must be a strong pirate. If you can kill it and bring me its eyes, I'll give you materials you need to make this armor." Mashyuu considered the job, rubbing his freshly shaved chin and nodded before reaching for the mans hand. "My friend, you have a deal." Mashyuu and Wilhelm shook hands and shortly after Mashyuu found himself outside of Wilhelm's shop. "I should find some help for this one.... "HEY! WHO WANTS TO HUNT A WILD ANIMAL!?" Mashyuu shouted into the town to see if anyone would look his direction and inquire about the job.
