The riot had been stopped and there was a week of peace in level five. Well, it wasn’t a whole week of peace, but there wasn’t a riot happening, which was good. The prisoners weren’t fighting each other like they normally would do, which was a good thing for the guards. Their job was kept simple as they would just watch the prisoners, and go to level five to pick up the bodies of those who were no longer breathing. This place was harsh, and the heat that was presented to them was not something everybody could get used. There were a lot of people who had disappeared in level five, and Yuurei hard started to take note of that. He became more aware of this because he was no longer roaming around the prison floor. He had already memorized the construct of level five, and now he needed to go to the next level.
The swordsman knew that he could use his devil fruit ability, which was good for him, but he also knew touching the walls would make him weak. He had come to the conclusion that Impel Down walls couldn’t be destroyed by normal means. Still, if he ever tried to escape, he wasn’t planning on trying to destroy the walls around him. There was a better way to get up to the next level, which was easy for him. Yuurei noticed to get to level four there was a big hole that led to it. He wasn’t planning on using that though, but he felt like he wanted to explore that area now that he was able to do that with level five. The swordsman would walk through level five as he could see that there some new faces down here. He remembered when he first joined the first thing he did when he got down here was to steal from people.
That turned out to be a big fight, which earned him some respect around here. It was a choice he was glad he made, and he didn’t look back at it as a regret. Yuurei did, however, earned the things that made him complete in life. He never raised them against the guards, and trust me he had the chance to, but never did. That was what made them trust him more, of course, he was a prisoner, so they had to keep out on him, but they were relaxed with the fact that he wasn’t doing anything to endanger their life when using those blades. In his mind, though he just didn’t want them to take away the extension of his body again. He also came to a conclusion that new inmates came to level five on a weekly basis.
It wasn’t just them, but there were other prisoners who somehow manage to survive the fall from above to this level. He wasn’t sure how they did it, and honestly, he never asked, but there were prisoners here that were new on this floor that he knew didn’t come in with the guards. It was how Yuurei had come to the conclusion to that hole being the easy way for him to get to the higher levels of Impel. The people who were around Impel were making sure that the new prisoners who fell from level four understood the rules. Of course, they would listen, but that was only because of the rumors that they kept the stronger, and evil prisoners on this floor. There of course were always prisoners who didn’t go with what everyone was doing, and those were the ones that Yuurei had to take down a notch.
If there was one thing Yuurei had known about himself was that he was getting stronger with each passing day. The results were showing slowly, but they were indeed showing. It wouldn’t take long the thief to come to a stop. He would hear some noises coming not too far from him. He figured today was the day new prisoners would arrive. Yuurei had claimed himself the leader of this level, so he had to make sure that nobody would try and undermine him. He took a seat on a vantage point and sighed when he felt the burning sensation that was under him. Still, he took it in as he knew this was training as well. He could see the guards moving the new prisoner into the floor one by one as they were freeing them.
”I wonder how these guys are going to act. I hope they just listen to the rules and hope to god they don’t make this hard for me.” He said to himself.
The guards did what they needed to do and when they had brought in the new fifteen people into Impel Down, Yuurei stared at them from afar. He watched them look at each other as if they were confused for a second, and quickly began to dread the heat they were in. There were a few of them that looked like they were able to take in the heat better than the rest. He couldn’t hear them from where he was positioned, but whatever was said had each and every one of them run off in a single direction. He rubbed the back of his head as he wondered what they were up, and figured he would follow behind them without being noticed.
The swordsman exhaled air from his body as he got up from the floor, and onto his feet. His eyes had a focus on them that could only be seen as someone who was using their Observation. He was taking in each of their signatures before jumping off of his vantage point and started moving in the direction they were moving. Their verbal action looked like they were plotting something, but he wasn’t sure that was exactly. Yuurei figured he would find out by following them and making sure that he wasn’t spotted. He also wanted to know how people on this floor would handle this situation.
