"The Cranium, Captain Ludvic Xiavia's research vessel, was reported missing after disappearing for 1 month without contact. Last seen sailing from Shabaody Archipelago after being coated for a deep sea exploration. Nobody knows where it is or if it even survived."

That's what the newspaper said about it, just a little blurb huh... i met him, briefly, we talked about the deep sea, when he came to the library to read. Nia thinks as she folds her news paper and sets it aside. I'm sure his ship will have some good stuff on it if I can find it first. She notes as she sits in her bubble ring. she prepares to head out to the library, I'll need to check the tide charts, figure out which way he went, and find a way to get more then just as satchel of stuff out of it. She adds to her mental notes as she leaves her house heading to the library in Area 32.

Hey Zek, She says softly as she enters, waving to the old man at the counter.
Ah the young Nia, how are you faring today? he asks chuckling slightly as he waves back, What are you coming to study this time, Astrology? Cooking? Sewing? Fashion? Brewing?
Doing well, but no, not this time, I actually came for Cartography and Physical Oceanography She replies chuckling slightly as well. I know where the books are, talk to you when I finish.
Thanks dear, I always feel I can trust you 'cause you let me know when you enter, cause you don't walk on the creaky floor. Zek says nodding as he goes back to his book.

Nia floats through the Library, grabbing a few books, Currents of the Deep Sea, The Dangerous Spiral: How to get There and Coating:Do's and Don'ts she sighs and heads to the table to begin reading the books.

She sets down and begins writing in her note book.
"Vessels that are improperly coated will usually break the bubble and sink about the 1000m depth and continue till they hit the bottom, in fact..." from Coating: Do's and Don'ts
She then begins to do the math calculating where the ship probably hit the 1000 meter mark, and then factoring for current speed and rate of sinking. then cross checking the map... There. she mutters, pointing to a small outcropping, if it's not its in the deep sea. She adds closing the books and putting them back on the shelves.

Thank you, bye, see you next time Zek. She says as she floats by on her way out heading for the market to buy some additional supplies.

Nia floated through the market, looking for some nice sturdy ropes to bring with her on her salvaging mission. she haggles a bit with the various merchants, I'm just trying to fix my place of residence, can you knock off a few beli for me? She says trying to look more cute then predatory. after acquiring sufficient ropes. she floats towards the docks I should get some old coating barrels to decrease the number of trips I need to take. She thinks as she floats over, humming a tune quietly to herself.

When she arrives at the docks she begins pushing discarded barrels into the sea, Excuse me miss? what are you doing?
I'm borrowing these barrels, I need the excess storage space to reduce trips for salvaging stuff. She responds pushing a tenth barrel in. I'm willing to pay? she says offering the man a few thousand beli, three thousand, to be exact. I'll have them returned by tomorrow night. She says as the man nods and walks away. counting the money.

Nia leaps into the ocean with her rope at the ready, quickly swimming around the barrels lashing them together, the open lids facing up. she then attaches a lead rope and begins to slowly swim away, her strength in the water much more then on land as she begins to change the surface current to assist her makeshift raft in continuing to keep up with her.

She swims for a few hours, the long voyage monotonous and boring, the Ocean calm and no ships in sight, I guess there's not many who have made it to this part of the sea yet. She thinks as she arrives close to where she calculated the Cranium should be.

Nothing left but to do and dive. She thinks arching her body to dive down into the depths of the ocean. her body pulling the rope, the many lengths of rope she brought, down to the ledge she identified, after a few minutes of swimming she comes upon it. The Cranium, the forty-five meter long vessel made of wood and brain coral, an ostentatious vessel built more to attract the eye then to actually be functional. Nia sighs looking at it and shaking her head. I thought you had better taste Ludvic, and more knowledgeable crewmen who could tell if your vessel was improperly coated. Oh well, the past is over, and now I get a payday from your stupidity. she thinks as she swims down closer to the wreck tying her rope to the still intact anchor of the vessel. She then floats up a bit to examine the work ahead of her Well I should probably look for the captain's quarters. that might have a record of what happened, that I could probably sell to the marines or the papers.

Nia swims over the deck of the ship, Scanning for possible points of entry. She notices a few and marks them mentally for later. She enters the sizable hole in the back of the ship, almost as if someone blew through it on a rampage, Huh, I wonder what caused that? She thinks as she softly floats into the room.

Nia gasps as she enters seeing what looks to be an elegant bedroom that's been completely destroyed. She slowly turns about, scanning the room. She notices a destroyed bed and a mostly destroyed desk that she slowly floats over to, looking for anything that survived. She notices a book hidden beneath the rubble she slowly picks it up and begins to read

"...Day three of our journey, I'm beginning to feel uneasy, last night the crew offered me a strange fruit, and when I looked in the mirror I could have sworn I seemed almost wolfish... Day four, we're approaching the one thousand meter mark, the shipwright has assured me that our coating will hold. I found out today that I have eaten one of the rare items known as a "Devil's Fruit," Apparently this item prevents one from being able to swim but grants great powers. I don't really believe in this mumbo jumbo, as there is no solid scientific data to back it up. but while I took my morning soak, I felt myself getting weaker. I wonder if its true..."

Huh, Oh Ludvic... I wonder if he punched the hole in his room, and the sea water rushed in because of the force popping the coating. She thinks as she takes a few of the scraps of the ornate desk, and the book and swimming up to her raft. She deposits the scraps in one of the barrels, and turns to swim down back down, looking around to see if any ships are in the area, not noticing any, she dives down to the ship entering the middle portion. She hunts around for a lab or a storage room. She pulls open a door, entering the flooded laboratory.

She turns around smiling a wicked smile. She grabs three bottles of Calcium, two vials of Chlorine, three bottles of Ethanol, one jug of bleach, and a couple of sealed jars of powdered Potassium. She then takes her time and slowly swims through the ship back out. then carefully swims back up to the surface, knowing if the potassium jars break open she'll have a problem. She carefully surfaces and slowly empties her bag, putting all the chemicals in a barrel. She turns sighing looking up at the sky watching the sun begin to set.

Nia dives back down into the ocean, following the rope back to the Cranium, She enters the hull of the ship again, and begins looking for scraps and valuables. She swims into a storage space, and grabs a few of the sealed cleaning supplies as well as a few of the sealed storage containers. These are basically a lottery, They might have something good, might have nothing,
but because I'm the only one here, and I'm trying to get as much as possible these will be good to grab. She thinks lugging them back up to the surface and filling a third barrel.

She dives back down, as the moon begins to rise, bringing a smile to her face as the moonlight splits into the water, the light rippling as the surface's waves carry on. She keeps swimming down into the Cranium, moving to a different hole. Entering this one, she sees a bunch of bloated bodies, the drowned bodies of the crew, that hadn't managed to escape. She begins looting the bloated bodies, collecting the swords and other various weapons, taking the bags of gunpowder, the bullets and the iron balls. she shifts through the various storage spaces, in the crew's cabin, taking whatever seems valuable, some silver lockets, a pocket watch here or there, a few photographs of families, some letters, and a Gold and Pearl necklace. She turns to leave, saying a quick prayer for the souls of the lost men and women.

She empties her bag filling another two barrels. However she puts the photographs and loose papers of letters in with Ludvic's Journal. That's five barrels full, five more to go. She thinks diving back down into the ocean.

She enter's the crew's quarter's again, this time entering the side room, finding a doctor's office. She grabs the twenty vials of painkillers, the three jars of antibacterial cream, the sealed containers of bandages and other medical supplies. She then swims into the room across from it finding what appears to be the First mates room, Finding a small desk and a simple dresser, she begins to search through it finding what appears to be a Crew list. Well this should be turned into the authorities so they can list all these poor souls as deceased. She thinks as she turns and leaves swimming further into the ship. She finds the storage hold and begins looting, picking up about two pounds of loose gold coins and jewelry, about five pounds of silver jewelry, and a bunch of notes about the lifeforms and sea life of the Grand Line. She shrugs, I guess I could bring these to Zek. She thinks swimming out of this storage room. She gathers the water near her and blasts the slightly rotted wood of the ship to create a bunch of scrap wood to bring with her.She heads back up to the surface, sighing as she does so. better to have scrap visible then actual valuables.

Back on the surface she puts the crew list in with the journal as well as the notes, and puts the gold and silver in a barrel, then fills it the rest of the way with the wood scraps effectively hiding the valuables from a casual glance. she slides down into the water and begins to sing, calling a small group of small fish to her as she does, telling them to stay still she grabs the two largest into her hands and then pulls herself out of the ocean, she tears into them her sharp shark teeth tearing through the scales and pulling the flesh from their bones.

Nia throws the remains of her meal back into the ocean. Her body arcs through the air as she dives into the sea. Seven are full that means one or two more trips before I'll be done. She thinks as she swims down.

She enters the last hole she saw on her first trip down. Entering the remains of what seems to have been a pantry. She sees one sealed container of flour, and puts it in her bag as she swims through the door, having to blast it open with water, causing the cranium to creak. she swims into the kitchen area of the ship gathering the pots and pans, all the utensils and other portable cooking implements, she then sighs a bit and starts swimming through the rest of the ship, moving to the near by door she finds a small storage room, quickly scanning it over she notices a few more sealed containers. Another couple of lotteries. She thinks grabbing them turning to leave as the ship creaks again. Time's running short, I can't blast any more of the ship apart. she thinks as she swims up to her raft filling two more barrels and turning back. sighing a bit.

She swims back down, looking over the ship as she descends heading back to the most structurally sound section. She returns to the captains cabin, pushing open the door to his room and swimming through the hall to the quartermaster's room, She pulls out the woman's storage chest and starts rummaging through them, pulling out various articles of clothing leaving them to float in the water. she pulls out a small chest from the bigger one, and tucks it in her bag, turning to leave. she pushes through the clothes, and turns to leave when the ship creaks again. I guess its time to go. she thinks swimming out the open ocean as the Cranium begins to tilt and slowly side down off the shelf. She quickly moves over to the anchor and unties the rope. She gathers it up as she swims back up to the surface. she sighs as she breaks the surface, Farewell Cranium, you had some loot, I'm sure that some fishman looters will find you. She says, as she begins to swim through the sea back towards Shabaody.

She swims through the sea, pulling the raft of loot back, she stops on the edge of the isle, and begins loading the barrels onto a bubble and slides herself into a bubble to swim home pulling the loot.

Nia sighs as she makes her way back to where she is staying, as the sun begins to rise Well time to take stock of what I recovered. She thinks moving the various barrels into the building. She begins pulling out the various items. She sets the Storage containers on the table, leaving them for last. she puts the journal and notes, and the manifest on the counter as she begins, I'll need to turn those in might get a reward for that, same with those letters. She says, setting them aside. She pulls out the scrap wood and then dumps the gold and silver onto the table. She sorts out the jewelry leaving half a pound of gold coins. She sets aside the gunpowder, bullets and Shot, as well as the chemicals, the medical supplies, also the flour, and the cleaning supplies. She then takes all the weapons and puts them in one barrel, and puts all the scrap wood in a second. She then turns to the storage containers and sighs. I should really have a better skill then raw bludgeoning force. She thinks as she pulls water from her nearby tub to bludgeon open the five containers. She returns it to the tub, before looking over what is in them. In one of them there was just non-perishable food stuffs. The second had some weighted nets for capturing specimens, which she puts with the weapons. She turns to look at the third, which had about 3 more pounds of gold coins. In the fourth, there were more papers notes, which she puts with the journal, and other notes. In the fifth Chest she found nothing but spare clothing.

Nia sighs having finished the work of sorting the loot, so she now prepares to sell the stuff she isn't keeping. She turns and leaves taking with her the journals and letters and all the papers she found, She heads first to the library, Hey Zek, Just me, Found some stuff in a wreck I thought you might like. She says, plopping down the notes on the sea life of the grand line. Thought you might like to read these. She says turning to leave. See ya around Zek.

Nia nods leaving the building and heading towards the marine base. as she approaches she holds up her hands, revealing she has no weapons. I found the Cranium, and came to inform the authorities.

She says holding out the book with the letter's and photographs, as well as the crew list to the marine, who takes it with a curious look towards the shark mermaid. but he shrugs and turns to leave. She calls after him, Tell them Sorrow found it.

She leaves and heads home, collapsing in her tub, I'll sell the loot later, right now, I need to sleep. She says, drifting off in the tub.
