Marshall, your task is to first meet with the Black Market member you have received this task from. You are free to negotiate any further terms of the Mission yourself, but whether or not they give you any information on the mission other than what has already been given to you is their choice . Be respectful, as the relationship between the revolutionary army and the Kingpins is very important and we don’t want you doing anything to damage it. Marshall would listen to the message through a den den mushi and then he would sigh. ”I don’t know why they always feel the need to tell me not to mess up on my missions. I’m capable of doing simple tasks without being instructed.” it seemed like the higher ranking revolutionary soldiers didn’t have much respect for Marshall if any. He’d like to think it was just because of his age, and would no longer be a problem when he turned 18, but he couldn’t be sure. They had seen Marshall at the peak of his immature stages, and would possibly never see him as anything other than the naive kid they had taken. In as a soldier when he was entirely too young and immature. but he was older now, and entirely capable of getting things done without having someone to hold his hand. ’I wish i could get the other revolutionaries to respect me.’ he thought to himself. That was part of why he threw himself into each mission with such vigor. He thought that if he was able to complete a lot of work and do a good job of it that they’d see him as just an extraordinary soldier and not just a kid. He had been unsuccessful thus far but he stayed hopeful; he had to. Sigh I guess 35th time’s the charm.

Marshall walked around the Nil district of Baltigo, taking the time to observe all of his surroundings. He noticed the drug addicts on the sidewalk; as well as the people who simply walked past the poor souls as if they were nothing. The cruelty it would take for the people to ignore them wouldn’t have surprised Marshall, cruelty was a recurring theme in Marshall’s life and didn’t even surprise him anymore. The part of the situation that bothered the lad was that no one even gave the drug addicts a second look. No one looked at them with sympathy, nor did anyone look at them with any sort of obvious distaste. The way the people effectively ignored the suffering of those unfortunate people made Marshall start to think about how such struggles as become common in the area.

”Pitiful really, someone should really do something to help those poor souls.” After his statement though, Marshall would turn into the building where he was supposed to meet up with his Underground contacts. While Marshall was able to recognize those people’s plight, he wasn’t the sort of person who would go out of his way to help them. In that regard, Marshall was really no different from those people he had seen completely ignoring those poor addicts before. Maybe some of them would also think about what they’d seen long after the situation had passed. ”Heh, guess I shouldn’t really judge people for not helping if I’m not willing to play the hero.

As Marshall entered the building, he instantly noticed the tense atmosphere within it. This definitely wasn’t the sort of place a regular 16 year old kid would belong in and the strange looks he received from a few of the men inside as soon as he came in only served to remind of of that fact. Inside the bar like area there were 4 pool tables; for some reason though, everyone in the bar had their attention focused on one specific table where there was a small crowd gathered. As he got closer Marshall started to become able to hear what some of the men were saying: ”Here’s your chance. A particularly large man was standing over a much smaller man who was holding a pool cue. On the table Marshall noticed that there was only the black 8 ball left on it. ”If you make this shot, we’ll forgive your debt and let you leave here untouched, but if you miss...” he didn’t need to finish his sentence for everyone in the room to understand what would happen if this shot was missed. The visibly nervous smaller man took his cue and began to line up his shot as Marshall looked on and began to grin. The young revolutionary had just gotten a delightfully mischievous idea. Just as the small man moved his cue to strike the 8 ball Marshall’s hand rose ever so slightly. This small gesture was enough to achieve his purpose though because just as the cue and ball made contact with each other the metal cage within the ball was moved towards the cue as quickly as the cue moved towards it. The people looking on would be unable to tell that the ball had moved as it remained in the exact same spot as it was before Contact was made. The pool cue remained largely damaged as the movement of the ball merely canceled out the momentum and stopped it from pushing the ball but the man who had taken the shot would not share that fate. No, his life was forfeit the moment Marshall had decided to have a little fun with the ball.

After missing his life saving pool shot, the small man was grabbed up by a very large man and was carried out of the bar by his throat. Marshall watched it all happen and struggled to hold in his laughter. Marshall walked over to the table where the his contact was sat, and sat down in front of him. Putting his feet up on the table, Marshall spoke to the man through his laughter,"Sup, I'm here to talk to you about some rev business." As a trained soldier, Marshall is usually prepared for most situations he gets places in, but he was completely caught off guard when the large man burst out laughing at him as if he was some sort of joke. "Ahahaha! And what sort of business do the revs have with us?" Marshall was very confused by the man's lack of knowledge, and it showed on his face. "I- I was told that you guys needed some help dealing with some troublesome marines." Marshall was so shocked that he was unable to form his sentences effectively. A cruel smile stretched across the face of the large man as he stared Marshall dead in the face,"Actually," the man's smile grew even wider as he spoke,"The 'problem' sort of solved itself." immediately after these words came out of his mouth, the doors of the bar burst open, and in poured about 30 marine soldiers. Marshall finally begin to understand, and though he tried to hold them back with his magnetic abilities, he was eventually overcome by the sea of people. The marines dragged him to the ground and stuck traditional cuffs onto his wrists before knocking him unconscious with the butt of a rifle.
