Voyage Approval

It was that time of year, the year that every kid worked hard for. They all did their thing to make sure that they were nice all year around. Of course, there were times that didn’t happen, but asking for forgiveness and continued to be nice was a thing that kids did all year around. They didn’t want to end up into Santa’s naughty list, so they would write to this man and ask him for whatever they wanted and hoping he would answer their call. It was a big fat man with a white beard who wore red nice cozy clothes. That man had elf helpers, reindeers to help him flying around, and that man’s name was Santa Claus. These were the stories he heard while growing up as a kid himself and now it was that time of the year. It was Christmas Eve and soon enough all the kids would be able to open their gifts and be happy to get what they wanted.

Yuurei and Gideon had made amends and they were working together now. He was hoping that this was the best course of action, but he had already told his friend about his plans. He was a Shichibukai, which meant that his friend no longer had to worry about the marines going after them. Still, he knew that Gideon had someone he hated that was part of the marines. Yuurei was hoping he would hold off on that grudge for now. He was planning to make this all work at the end of it all.

The two of them would be walking through the Greenie Pass making sure that there was nothing wrong, or making sure that there were no criminal activities occurring throughout any of the many towns that were around Greenie Pass. The day was a beautiful one and even though it was Christmas Eve, there was no snow on this island. It was the Grand Line, so anything was possible, and to make sure that there was no such thing as snow on this island wasn’t surprised. Still, it was a cloudy day as the sun had been covered by the clouds that were moving around together. The sun would only shine brightly down upon them every few minutes before becoming covered again. It wasn’t just that, but the flocks of birds seemed to have taken a vacation day because he didn’t see them flying around.

Yuurei wasn’t walking but was instead on his favorite spot. The swordsman was on top of Gideon’s right shoulder as he had a better view from up here than anywhere else. While the big guy was walking he figured conversing was perfectly fine.
”Do you think it was a good idea to leave everyone behind on the ship? There are some new faces and I mean a lot of new faces. I hope Kasui and Vizmir could handle it.” He said to Gideon.

Then there was another question that had popped into his head. He never asked before, but he figured he would ask Gideon now.

”Have you heard anything from Daimaru, and Mashyuu recently?” He asked Gideon wondering what the big man would say.

Though the weather was mainly cloudy with no hint of snow, the small breezy winds were chilly, though the green flannel shirt Gideon wore padded him well enough. He walked about the open fields, gaining a good viewpoint for himself and Yuurei who chose to take a spot on his right shoulder. The mission was simply to scout about. Before it would have been taken lightly, everyone on the ship would just free roam the island they've visited to cover more ground in less time while also enjoying the sights, but ever since attacks on Jaya island, everyone has been more cautious, even now Yuurei shown some concern for the crew that awaited on the ship, "The skypieans that have been loyal to you can handle themselves well enough, they've found their way and kept together this long, and Kasui keeps high enough away from problems and Vizmir..." Gideon didn't know what to say about the old man, he didn't seem like he could fight, "He's smart enough to figure something out".

The idea that they had a crew large enough to protect the ships kept some peace-of-mind to the giant and he figured if they were going to send out a scouting party, the safest would be the two strongest. Keeping together would lessen the possibility for bad situations that may happen to worsen, "No, I haven't heard from the rest of the crew since we've split up near Jaya island island and now I'm worried about them, hoping they are alright, have you?" Though Gideon had met with Yuurei, had he had lost Daimaru and Mashyuu as well as the others, with what happened with Yuurei he wondered if anything similar was happening to the rest of them.

Yuurei kept himself seated on Gideon’s shoulder as the man was walking around. Gideon had reassured him that everyone was okay on their own. That was good to hear, which gave him a calm mind. The scientist wondered what else he could come up with right now that would be able to help them out with their adventure. He had just started inventing stuff on the whim and it was because of Grim’s teaching. He was grateful for that as this world was going to see an amazing scientist take the world by storm. The next thing that was spoken about was about those two. It seemed like Gideon didn’t know about their whereabouts. That sucked, and he wanted to see them, so he could give them a piece of his mind. He was sure that they would show up on this island if he stood here long enough, so he would wait.

”I hope they continue to show me that they can handle everything well. We are going to be handling a lot of crazy crap in the future to come.” He said to Gideon as he looked at him.

”No, I don’t know anything about them. I know that we were supposed to have recruited, and I met them, but I don’t know if they are still with Mashyuu and Daimaru. All I know Gideon is that they better have been training like you Gideon.” He said out loud.

Yuurei hoped Gideon understood that those three should never meet each other. If that happened, then the same thing that happened with Gideon would happen to them. The thing is Yuurei probably wouldn’t offer them a spot on his crew, for he didn’t think of them as a family as he did with Gideon. With Yuurei’s words being said he moved his face to look in the direction of where they were heading. He didn’t see anything out of the ordinary and wondered if they were going to find something to do today. He knew that there were pirates that would probably be hidden around these towns, and probably harassing the locals here.

His eyes wandered off to the right side of the area and that was when something had caught his eyes. He didn’t understand it first, and he thought he was seeing shit. He was confused that he had to rub his eyes a few times just to make sure he wasn’t seeing things. When he did that what he saw was still there. He had seen a group of clouds hovering over an area and snow was descending down to the ground. He looked around to see if there were more like it, but this was the only place that was going through it. It confused him because he thought he was hallucinating now. Yuurei got up from his sitting position now as he was staring off in that direction.


”Gideon; look to your right and tell me that isn't snow you see falling down? Tell me I’m going crazy because I didn’t think this island could see snow.” He said to his friend.

Yuurei’s arms were crossed as he had a serious face, yet at the same time, he was just hoping that this was all in his head. The swordsman knew if it wasn’t then that meant somebody was doing something to cause this, and it would be good if they were to investigate this situation. I hope it’s someone that has snow abilities who’s doing this for the town. It couldn’t be that Shichibukai with the snow fruit because I don’t think she would do this for a town. He thought to himself as he waited for Gideon’s answer.

Gideon walked about, still scouting the area. Though he yawned greatly had one point out of boredom, he wasn't dazying out or daydreaming, he had been in too many fights and other situations to think he could easily let his guard down outside of the ship. He had been in too many debacles and fights in his life to think he could walk about on a quiet day without expecting trouble.

As if on queue, Yuurei caught Gideon's attention and directed him to the right. The giant looked and it was as Yuurei suspected, "...Y-yeah... that certainly looks like snow" He couldn't understand it, snow falling in a set area which made absolutely no sense. The only explination Gideon could think of would be the power of a devil fruit. Though he knew little of devil fruits, he knew they held powers that could not be explained, like magic, and seeing it first hand with Yuurei and how powerful his ability could scale, then it should be possible for such a weird occurance to exist... at least that is what the giant thinks.

Though he wasn't told so, Gideon began making his way towards the snowing region, knowing Yuurei was intending for the two to check the area out and even if he didn't suggest it, the giant would want to check it out, he wanted to make sure that there was no threat to those who are innocent and especially didn't want there to be a threat on the island that could endager his crew's life while they were docked on the island, he didn't want anymore trouble, and he intended on making sure he prevented any of it to getting anywhere near his ship or Yuurei's larger ship.

Yuurei heard his friend reassure that what he saw was snow. He wanted to be wrong about this because it just meant that something was happening in that town. This only brought Yuurei to chuckle a bit because he had a bad feeling about this. Still, before he could say anything, his best friend had started moving towards where the snow was coming from. He lost his balance through the sudden shift as he fell on his ass. He didn’t fall off of Gideon, which was something he knew wouldn’t be possible unless it was a sudden tilt from Gideon.

”Hn ha ha ha ha hn. You read my mind, Gideon. We heading to see who the fuck is creating snow over there.” He said as he looked over to his friend.

”I’m sure some asshole is doing this. I’m sure this island doesn’t have snow. Poor people must be suffering from how cold that shit is.” He said this as he moved his body around so that he was laying on his stomach.

He placed his bent his arm and his right hand was on the side of his head to support his head while it leaned. He looked over to Gideon and wondered if he wanted to try an invention that he had created in a contest not too long ago.
”You know Gideon, I created something that could make you around my height. It lasts for a while, but for some reason, if you choose to go back to your regular size it wears off.” He said as he couldn’t get it to be permanent, but it did get the job done.

The scientist could feel the temperature lowering as Gideon continued towards the town. He could feel it and it made him shivered. He started rubbing his arms as he was trying to keep himself warm from this weather. It wouldn’t take long for them to arrive at the town and the snow there was about eight inches tall. The snow was gentle but cold, and it kept going without any pause. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing here and wondered who was behind this. It was a beautiful, however, and he saw a bunch of kids running around the snow and enjoying their time. It assumed wrong, and the people in this town were taking advantage of the snow that fell over them. It bugged him thought and he wondered who he was doing this. He couldn’t feel where it was coming from, so he decided that it was best that he and Gideon would see if anybody around here had answers.

”Hey Gideon, how about we get to a tavern and we go investigate? There must be somebody that knows what the fuck is going on here don’t ya think. And ya get to turn small for the first time and enter the tavern for the first time since I met ya.” He said this to his best friend.

He wasn’t forcing him to do all the work as he was looking around to see if he could find any tavern from his location. I don’t think this is bad, especially since the townsfolks aren’t complaining, but we won’t fully understand until we investigate. He thought to himself as he waited for Gideon to make a move, and speak to him.

Seeing the snow fall upon the town from the distance made the two worry, though Yuurei was more open to chuckle about it, Gideon had always been more of a worry-wart, his expression showed it all. He slightly quicken his pace towards the town. He wasn't sure how temperature and weather tends to work, so Yuurei may be right. There have been islands Gideons had heard of where everything was frozen over, any kind of living creature had to struggle against the cold and in finding food.

There was a moment where the clutsy swordsman, who had trouble keeping balance on Gideon's shoulder, spoke of a device that could shrink the giant down. Gideon gave a slight smile, believing Yuurei was simply joking and didn't take it seriously until they got to town.

When the two arrived in town, they witnessed children playing about in the piling up snow, even the adults seem to be enjoying themselves. Gideon was speachless to the point he just allowed Yuurei take a theory to this and suggest they make an investigation. The giant nodded his head and though the swordsman once again brought up the shrinking device, this time Gideon seem to not only begin to believe the swordsman was speaking the truth, he began to consider it.

"Well, alright then, but if the device ends up hurting me or worse, then I'd rather stay outside". Gideon remembered Yuurei speaking about how he learned scientific engineering, and though the giant nodded his head, he didn't really understand most of what the swordsman said, but currently, Gideon was curious to see the world through the eyes of a human's height and finally get to see what a human's tavern looked from the inside.

Yuurei heard his friend as it seemed like he was good with using the shrink ray on himself. This was fabulous as he wanted to use it on his friend since he made it. He used this on one of the contestants that he was in a contest with and it was how he won it all. He knew that it worked, he just wasn’t sure how small his friend would become. Still, he knew it wouldn’t hurt Gideon, so he was going to use it. The scientist had pushed himself off of Gideon’s shoulder from the position he was in. He was falling to the ground now, but before he could get close to the ground he used his first invention to help him out. He crunched his toes and shifted his body, so his hover flats were towards the ground. They started slowing descending him to the ground, and when he reached the ground he smiled at the giant.

”I didn’t use my gravity fruit there. Instead, I used these things I created that allows me to fucking hover.” He said with excitement.

He looked at his friend with a smile on his face as he knew that it would work if Gideon was willing to allow this ray from working. Yuurei turned his back at Gideon and then placed his hand towards his back, and turned around and pulled the gun out at Gideon. There were people around the area that got scared at first as they were ready to run. Yuurei noticed this and looked at each and every one them.
”Oh ya guys don’t worry. This gun is harmless and it doesn’t even shoot bullets. Just watch and see what it does. It’s really freaking awesome.” He said this to everyone as they were sure he was lying, but stood to prove their theories right.

The swordsman quickly pulled the trigger as he was close to Gideon and a bunch of circular beams hit Gideon. As soon as Gideon got hit by this he would start to shrink from his large size and that of a man of eleven feet tall. There was also another effect to this shrinkage. Gideon would feel faster than he was, but would also feel slightly weaker in terms of strength and endurance. It was because his raw power and endurance changed with his size and his speed increase due to the weight loss. It wouldn’t take too long, but Yuurei would still be looking up to Gideon, but now like before. Yuurei would smile as he could only imagine Gideon’s reaction to this.

It wouldn’t just be Gideon, but everyone that stood to watch was in awe with what they saw. They didn’t think that something like that was possible. That was the first time they ever saw a giant turn into a small man, and they took a look at Yuurei. They started asking who he was and how he did that, but of course, the scientist wasn’t going to go and tell his secrets to the world. Instead, he decided to at least tell them his name and what he did.

”The name is Yuurei D. Jiyuu. Let my name be known throughout the lands. I’m an upcoming doctor… I mean I’m an upcoming scientist ready to invent things you people could only imagine. Just wait on it.” He said to everyone there.

They were excited about what he had said and would tell people about a man who had the power to shrink people to a smaller size.

As Yuurei descended tot he floor, Gideon had figured the man had used his devil fruit power to slow his fall, but to his surprise it didn't seem that was the case. 'Hover'?, the giant was confused to how shoes can make a person hover, but he put the though to the side since he had to focus on what was about to happen next.

When the swordsman pulled out a gun and pointed it towards him, Gideon did indeed flinch, it seems ever since he met Yuurei, he had been targeted nearly every day, so he would flinch whenever a weapon was drawn, regardless if he could withstand the force.

The surrounding population seem to have taken notice of the situation and misunderstood; the giant sighed realizing Yuurei could have been discreet about it, but then the smaller man blatantly announced what was going on and drew in attention. Gideon brought his hand to cover his face, then he felt something weird.

He looked up and noticed he was closer to the floor. Everything around him was bigger, though he was still tall, it was a big difference. He could even see the blades of grass as much more higher as if he was going to sink into the ground, "This is..." Gideon looked about, seeing people larger than he expected in comparison to him. It wasn't like he had never been around people his size, but it has been decades since he's been around anyone his size, "Um... interesting" he truly wanted to say 'weird', but he didn't want to insult Yuurei.

Then hearing Yuurei announce his name, Gideon's hand went back to this face. When he managed to shuffle over to Yuurei, he said "Don't you think it's a bit much to spread out your name like that?" then a thought came to him, now that they were practically working for the government, they wouldn't need to hide, but after what Gideon had went through for so long, he was not use to intentionally gaining attention. He began to feel a shiver run up his spine. Gideon looked behind him as if expecting to fine a ship of marines in the distance.

Yuurei could see that Gideon found all of this weird and confusing right now. He couldn’t help but smile because of this as he knew this would all be new to him. Still, he was hoping that this would become the norm for their crew. He was hoping to be able to create new things that would be beneficial to help out the crew and this shrink ray were one of them. The next thing Gideon said had some truth to it, but at the same time Yuurei knew that people here already knew about him, and if they didn’t they would know when the next News Coo was published. Yuurei put the gun away as he spread his arms out as he smiled at his companion.


”I never thought I would see ya around this size in my life, but I gotta be honest I’m glad I made this.” He credited himself as he was excited about it working on Gideon.

”My name is going to be spread out regardless of Gideon. We work fa the World Government. If we help keep the peace and stop bad things from happening, the world will know who we are regardless. The thing is I rather show off my skills out loud when it comes to my technology ova the fighting. That can show fa itself. Anyways, let’s go inside and gather information.” He turned around pushed the doors to the tavern as he had entered the place.

The one thing that never failed was how lively the taverns were in Lulusia. It didn’t matter what kind of situation they were going through, this was the place to be. He could see that there were a large number of people looking at him. They were looking at Yuurei’s swords, and then at the big man behind him. The swordsman would smile and wave at those who were staring at him without a care in the world. His head slight shifted in Gideon’s direction; Yuurei was honestly excited to have his best friend around his height right now even though it didn’t matter how tall Gideon was he knew that man would always be the same person to him.

”We split up and gather information like good old times. Someone must have dirt about what is going on in this town.” He said to his friend.

At this point, Yuurei walked off into his common direction. He walked over to the counter and sat down as he was looking at the bartender. She was a beautiful girl with long blonde hair going down to her mid back. She had blue eyes and a nice smile as she was serving drinks to other customers at the counter. It would take a few seconds, but she would make her way towards Yuurei and wondered what the man had wanted.

”What can I get you to drink sir?” She asked him.

Yuurei smiled at her, but it was one that looked like he wanted to flirt. She was beautiful in his eyes and his lust couldn’t resist but to come out a little. The ache on his chest would start to resonate as he was longing for something, but he didn’t know what it was.

”Yes just get me ale please, and a few minutes of your time love.” He said to her.

She looked at him with a confused look but figured that she would get paid more if she gave him time to talk to her. She walked off to get what he wanted first. She would get a mug and soon after she would start filling it up without a second to waste. When she noticed it rising to the top she would slow down and soon she would come to a stop. She would smile and walked over to Yuurei as he grabbed it and took a small sip of it.

”Delicious.” He would simply say as he placed it on the counter but continuing to hold it.

”So, what is that I can help you with?” She asked.

”I was hoping ya could tell me about this snow that is falling down on your town?” He asked curious to hear what she would say.

”All I know is that a week ago, snow started falling down on the town. I don’t know where it came from, and at first, everyone was scared, but then everyone was excited. The snow is harmless, so not a lot of people care about it being a weird omen. I know that some of the older folks here know more information about it, but I just work and play in the snow with my friends is all. I don’t look to deep into these things.” She said to Yuurei.

Yuurei nodded when hearing this as he would have to ask the older people around here. He would hope Gideon would get some information out of these people.

”Thank you for the information. Any information is better than no information.” He said with a smile on his face. He would hand her some beli for the drink and her information as he turned to look at the people in the tavern from his seat.

Gideon couldn't stop staring down upon himself, comparing his new size to the world around him. For a moment he wondered how humans can be use to being so small, but he kept his thoughts to himself since he himself has always been the oddity, the giant walking among humans.

By what Yuurei had stated, Gideon couldn't really blame him, that was Yuurei after all, always loved to make a scene and to be in the center of the spotlight, luckily he placed the well-being of the innocent first. The small giant had a point, with them being part of the government now, there wouldn't be any officials to chase them down, however no matter the situation, Gideon was still too use to trying to lay low, ironic for such a large being.

The two of them entered the first tavern they could find within the snow-covered town. Gideon was lost for a moment, looking about, finally seeing the inside of a human tavern from his current point of view for the first time, though he could nearly touch the ceiling, he felt tiny. Realizing Yuurei had already went to the bar, Gideon gathered himself and headed to the back where a handful of men were playing cards. Just like old times, the two of them splitting up and gathering information, it felt good to the small giant to be able to do such things again.

"What's a traveler to do with such an oddity like the snow outside" Gideon faked a laugh as he took a seat at the table.

"Not use to the snow, eh, friend?" one of the middle-aged men said to him before taking a drink from his bottle.

"I've been through snow, but not in a place where it snows within the town but is hot like summer outside the border" Gideon adjusted in his seat, feeling the comfort and trying to not seem to obvious that he was enjoying actually sitting in one after more than a few decades.

"Don't know what did it, but some people say it was probably the Gift Thief" a younger man who was playing cards had said.

"Gift Thief?" Gideon was generally confused, but enjoying the seat.

"For the last 4 days, someone has been moving about town, stealing the holiday gifts" Seeing the look of confusion on Gideon's face, the card player elaborated, "It's the 12 days of Giving, a holiday we celebrate and for 12 days we celebrate and give one another gifts."

"Then why not lock the doors and shut the windows?" Gideon asked, leaning back in his chair as it stood on it's back legs.

"We all do, but he thief manages to find a way in" the look on the man's face showed less anger, and more suspicion of the supernatural.

Yuurei had looked around and soon enough he would see his friend sitting down on a chair and talking to the locals here. He could smile when he saw what Gideon was doing with the chair. It seemed like he was enjoying being the size of a human. He could only chuckle as he knew that his friend was getting information but having fun at the same time. He would do the same thing as he would get up from his seat. He had spotted a group of older men not too far from him. They looked like they were having a good time and he figured that he would go see if they would be okay with sharing some information with him. When he got there, they would look at him and Yuurei noticing that would smile at them and take a seat on the empty chair.

”I don’t mean to intrude in ya activity, but I have a few questions, if ya don’t mind me asking them?” He asked them wondering what they were going to say to him.

One of the guys looked at Yuurei and smiled at him as they were too jolly to be angry. They placed their hand on Yuurei should and kept their smile.

”Sure sonny ask away, we will try to answer as best as we could. It’s a good time of the year.” He said to Yuurei.

”Thank you, I was wondering if ya guys know who, or what has been causing snow to fall only in this town?” He asked them.

They all looked at each other and they figured someone would come here looking for answers to their questions.

”Well, from what we know is that it started happening a few a days ago, but that isn’t even the strangest thing. It is that time of year, but apparently, people are going nuts talking about their gifts being stolen. We started calling it the gift thief.” He said to Yuurei.

Yuurei was surprised to hear that there was somebody going around stealing gifts in this town and wondered if they had a connection with the snow that was falling down from the sky.

”A Gift Thief; interesting thing to hear, and is this thief working on its own?” He asked them wondering what they would say.

”Well I heard from someone in the town that they saw a green looking creature helping the thief one time. Yes, one of our residents had said that she had caught a glimpse of the thief, and a green thing next to him before they disappeared through a crack in the wall. It was pretty insane to hear, so we decided to think of the story as a crazy tale.” He said to Yuurei.

The thief didn’t think it was a crazy idea and made a mental note of the story. He had one more question before he decided it was enough. He was going to have to find these two people and question them and figure out if they were the ones causing this snow to occur in this town. They were already committing a crime by stealing from these people.

”Are there any weird story about the snow appearing? Did anybody see who did that, or believe they saw who started this snowfall?” He asked them.

”Sorry I can’t help you with that one. Nobody in this town saw who or what started this snow, but it’s not much of a problem if I say so myself. The kids are enjoying it, but whoever stealing the gifts need to be stopped.” He said to Yuurei, which brought him to chuckle with a smile on his face.

”You are right about them needed to be stop, and Ima do my best to be the one to stop them. Of course, I got my boy in the tavern as well to help me out. I do hope we find these criminals.” He said to the man, knowing full well he was a criminal as well.

”Oh really? Well, then one more thing. They don’t really strike the same house twice, but if you want to try and catch them might want to try the houses to the south of this town. They haven’t been attacked.” He said to Yuurei, which brought him to get up from his seat as he looked at the guys that were in front of him.

”Thank you guys fa ya time. I will try and used that clue to my advantage. Enjoy the rest of ya day.” He said this as he walked off and towards the exit of the tavern.

Yuurei would lean on the wall next to the door as he was waiting for Gideon to finish gathering up any information that he might come across. He wanted to make sure and see what kind of clues his friend would have gotten out from the locals.

Cards were being moved about as the game went on, coins and bills were placed, lost, and won while the rest of the table was filled with chatter of random subjects and every so often Gideon would fall into conversation with one or two of the locals, but he didn't get any more information then he already had gotten, so he would move to another table to the far end after a few minutes so not to be suspicious.

Though they were technically working for the government now, Gideon still felt he should be more subtle to his intentions and his identity, as for Yuurei, he figured the smaller man can go yelling out his name and goal to the world like a hyper overactive ninja dressed in bright orange if he wanted to, but the small giant would rather stay in the background and with his new given size, he figured he would have more of a better time in doing so.

After receiving the same information a number of times, Gideon looked up and noticed Yuurei by the doorway, probably his signal to make the leave. He nodded and made his way to the exit and instead of confronting the swordsman, he walked by him and waited for him in the snow outside, trying to make sure as few as possible knew they were working together.

Though the locals were wearing thick clothing, mainly numerous layering, probably because the island was too use to the tropical environment, Gideon barely felt the cold through his flannel shirt. Giants have always been known to handle the cold pretty well. He would look back to Yuurei just once to catch eyes with him to let him know he was speaking to him specifically, "Doesn't seem like anyone knows what or who started the snow, but some people think this 'gift thief' might be responsible" Though the thievery is a menace, the real problem is the constant snow, "Back home whenever we would deal with constant snow, we would worry about the crops which is normally the lifeblood for any civilization" He turns to face Yuurei.

"This snow may be fun and all, but if it doesn't stop, the crops won't grow and the locals are use to a tropical setting" Gideon stopped the moment he heard a child nearby sneeze before continuing his play in the snow, "They'll colds would worsen" His expression turned stern.

Yuurei had smiled as he was best friend gather information from afar. He had gathered everything he needed, or at least what he thought he would need to be able to find these criminals. He could tell that his friend was getting the same type of answer a few times, or similar with them leading to the same conclusion. He was happy for Gideon and he was still happy that his friend was able to do such a thing now. It was now that he knew his choice on what to learn was a good decision as he noticed that the small giant had walked over towards him. No words were exchange, instead, he watched Gideon walk out the door first, and soon enough he would do the same thing after he gave it a few seconds. He would soon leave the tavern as well and the two of them would be looking at each other.

He listen to his friend speak as he was bringing up the information that he had gathered. He would nod to show he was listening to him. He had gotten off trail with snow and home, which was something Yuurei had never done in his life. He had stolen for his food and his parents had done what they could to provide for the household when they could. Still, he was right about one thing and it was they would get sick, and their crops will stop growing if this continued.

”So, they told ya about this ‘Gift Thief’ too, so he must be real thing. Apparently this snow came down on this town a week ago. I heard about the ‘Gift Thief’ as well, but that wasn’t just it. Apparently he’s not working alone, and the only reason why he’s able to escape and possibly enter the houses is because of a green creature that is with him. I don’t know who is able to do that, but they said that they had disappeared through the small cracks on the wall.” He paused for a bit as he stretched his arms as he wasn’t don’t talking to Gideon about what he had gotten.

”It wasn’t just that, but apparently whoever is stealing gifts don’t go around stealing from the same house twice and that the houses in the south of the town might be the next ones to get attacked. I’m pretty sure that the attacks happen at night time, so it seems like they should be striking soon enough. We should be on our way and get things plan over there. Please don’t be afraid to suggest anything you think might help us with capturing these criminal.” Yuurei said as he looked to his left and then his right before walking off to his right.

The Schibukai was making his move through the snow as he was heading to their next destination. He wondered if they would be able to find those things that the people in the tavern spoke about. While he was walking through the snow he wondered how those two criminals actually escaped the houses and entered without breaking in. He had a feeling the story was true, but he didn’t want to believe it until he saw it happened for himself. He figured he would say something to Gideon as well while they walked.

”So, do you think going on the rooftops would be best to take care of these guys, or something.” He asked Gideon as he wondered what he would say.

The snow was high enough to reach the lower part of his shin, though to the locals it wasn't much of a big deal, but to a giant who's isn't use to such a change, it felt odd. He looked up and took a moment to reel in the area around him, he couldn't see over the building structures as he normally would be able to, such a change made him feel small, he wasn't sure how to feel about this.

Yuurei's piece of information drew Gideon back to the situation at hand. Though they didn't get an accurate point of where they would be able to find the criminals, the general vicinity of the south side of town was good enough for them to scout. "Right, to the south side then". What caught Gideon off guard was the suggestion of handling the enemies on the rooftops. He raised his eyebrow in question, "I don't see the point of going to the rooftop, why not just fight them on the ground or inside a house they might break into?" in actuality, Gideon was worried about being too heavy to walk upon a rooftop, he has always kept his feet on the ground and the thought of doing such an act made him nervous, yes he's smaller, but he wasn't sure if he was light enough to walk ontop of buildings.

He began to look at the top of the tavern, imagining how he would break through the roof and land his small body onto a table and probably break his back. "So to the south we go then" he said as he began to make his way south, trying to keep his mind off of dangerous thoughts.

While they were walking, Yuurei heard what Gideon had said. They didn’t have to be on the rooftop of any building if they didn’t need to. He kept picking up his feet over the snow and every time he stepped into it his feet would sink right into it without resistance. He wasn’t sure if his friend was scared about the idea, but he was going to find out soon enough. While they were walking Yuurei would cross his arms in front of his chest as he looked to the side to see Gideon looking up to the roof.

He chuckled a bit when he saw his friend looking up into the sky, but immediately put the face he had before when he was looking at Gideon.

”I only said the rooftop because we would a have better view from above. You should know that better than anybody Gideon. The reason I didn’t say let’s go into people’s home is because we don’t know which house these two beings might appear at. If we chose two different houses, but they didn’t appear in any of them, then that would be a waste of time.” He paused for a second.

”I got nothing bad to say about staying on the ground, and I guess we can stay there, but that means when we get to the south of the town I would have to expand my observation Haki around and hopefully track in any new presence that suddenly enter a house.” He said as he was going to have to use that ability of his to track down those he wanted to stop.

While he was walking he was happy that Gideon had brought up something with his plan because he wouldn’t have thought about his idea of using his Haki. That was he liked about his friend as he had questioned things to make sure he got a clear sense of why. The snow would make them slower in getting to their destination, but Yuurei was okay with that. It wouldn’t take long for the two of them to make it though. He looked around to see who was around their location. He didn’t see anybody out of the ordinary, and he decided it was time for him to do what he had planned to do not too long ago.

The swordsman would exhale air as he had activated the power that came from within. He was able to sense everybody and everything that was from the south side of the town. His observation had reached up to a hundred meters, which was perfect for scouting right now. He could feel the presence of all the people in this area, and he could only smile because there weren’t any sudden or weird movements happening at this moment.

”By the way Gideon you can turn back into a giant anytime you want. Ya just need to will it within ya to do so. As long as ya truly want to stay that size you will.” He said to his friend as he had never explained to him how he would turn back into a giant.

It was that type of day, the sun was no longer in the sky, and the mysterious figure was on a rooftop. The thing is he was hidden from the naked eye, and he wasn’t in the South side of the town. He, however, did have a weird looking book in his hand. He was looking at the book thought as it seemed like he was reciting a passage from the book.

”Greed old greed, selfishness, and envy. The world around you have what you can only lust for. Take all that of what you want and make sure no gift is left for the world. Come forth my beings and do my bidding.” He read off the book.

Soon two creatures would appear on the rooftop with him and they would look at the man who conjured them into this world. He would look at the both of them and without saying anything, they knew what he wanted them to do. It was what they were skilled at, and so they had got moving to their next heist location.
