Third Power Lotan a well known Pirate that aimed his rage at Marines renowned for slaying countless Rear Admirals. The assault on Water 7 by hordes of Sea Kings. The uprising of Piracy and criminal acts on Sandy Isle. All these acts were stopped by the Marines in some way. But, credit is not solely theirs. Through the efforts of a unexpected ally they have gained a position that collectively can rival the might of a Yonko and the force of the Marines Admirals. They have made the balance of power into three parts. They are known as the Shichibukai. Seven pirates turned privateers in the service of the World Government.

Meruem is a pirate captain that hails from Skypiea. He's best known for his black raven like wings and his sinister actions. He's a merciless person and is known to kill men, women, and children, all alike. His last notable act was on Alabasta where he slaughtered a caravan of Nobles who were fleeing the Capital. Along with the Nobles a Rear Admiral and majority of his Unit was killed as well.
Impel Down Ever since the Red King's prime time the WG has been at shock for their inability to handle such individuals. As time has passed there has been rumours about the Marines planning the world's biggest and most secure place to contain these inhuman pirates. It was until the recent events on Cactus Island that it has been revealed a large project at near end. The WG funded the marines to build the most secure prison for the world to see. With info leak it has confirmed the project is named Impel Down, a recreation of nether realm itself, a suiting place for vile pirates such as the Red King. It has been exactly one year since the Red King's end, and it seems like the Marines are planning a Grand Ceremony for their new prison, an anniversary of their biggest accomplishment. **

Rebuilding of the Slums After constant hardship Water 7's slums have been remodeled. The sea King horde that attacked being not only a curse but a blessing. As with their defeat nothing went to waste.The place known as the Slums is no more. The new name given to the area being the Warehouse District. And to make sure things go smoothly with new faces coming to the Warehouse District two Marine bases have been placed there. This Signifying the protection of the Island by the World Government. ***
Future of the Marines First, we want to pay respects to a Marine that was recognized in the last volume of our News Coo. We send our condolences to the Naganori family. Even with that shining and promising Marine gone many will follow the example that he set.
Hannibal "The Hero" Uchis and James "Arrow" Spark were mentioned in our last addition. These two are modeled Marines who have continuously gone beyond the call of Duty. Hannibal was said to defeat the Revolutionary General Juego Patron. And James helped in the fight against the Sea Kings that attacked Water 7; also he was able to defeat and Capture the Supernova known as Madam Gou. These two seemed to not be slowing down at all when it comes to administering Justice.
We have a few newcomers making waves within the Marines. David Sinh, Gils Heren, and Lu Dahn Ricchi. All three of them were on Sandy Isle to stop the conflicts that were there. We want to thank you for keeping us safe. And this is extended to all brave Marines that have chosen to put walk the right path.

Dangers of Jaya Island Jaya Island has already been regarded as a Pirate cesspool. The amount of decent folk that inhabit the Island being slim to known. It was rumored that a few lurking legends made that place it's home due to the almost nonexistent Marine presence. With amount of chaos that has picked up recently seems to not be dying down. As there is a rumor a couple of lurking legends have set their eyes on the place.
