The road was barren. There was barely anyone on the road heading towards Mock Town. The sun was out and baring down on him as he walked fully cloaked. The weather would have been a problem for someone else. For the young Pirate, heat was nothing to him. Times were stranger than ever. Madori had become the Magma man by eating the Magu Magu Devil Fruit. The fruit gave him amazing abilities, however they were meant only for one thing.
To destroy. To burn. To kill. His abilities to control and turn into Magma were one of the more powerful Logia fruits. Madori had just gotten a bit more control over his powers. His defeat and escape at the hands of the Twins had left a bitter taste in his mouth.
The training he went through was intense. He had eclipsed the threw dangerous abilities that some Logias possessed. Now was the more important matter. He would definitely kill the Twins as soon as he could. But that also left the other Pirate that had orchestrated this event.
Though Madori wasn't specifically targeted. He had accidentally foiled the plans of a powerful Pirate. That man was named Jomu. He knew nothing of this Pirate as he only found out about him during his captivity on the Metal Bands ship. There seemed to be some sort of misunderstanding but he was now an enemy of two different Pirate Crews.
Madori shook his head and his already messy hair fluttered. I don't want to drag the Phantom Raiders into my troubles. I finally found a crew how could help me pursue my goals. This guy was certainly going to be a thorn in his side.
It seemed his pained thinking would jinx him. As it always did. Madori was alerted by a group of people barring the road, he hadn't noticed them before but now he was seeing how unnatural it was.
Bandits?
They didn't seem like bandits now Madori had a better look. They made no further movements but he had the sneaking suspicion that they were just waiting on him to come to them. Madori entertained them till about ten meters away he stopped and eyed the group.
Pirates.
They were armed to the teeth, about five of them. Each holding a sword and a pistol. The one standing in front of them was the obvious leader of the group. He was tall, even close to Madori's height. Wearing an armored vest and brandishing a bad ass double-bladed sword on his back.
He had short blonde hair but black eyes. He was muscular and seemed deadly just from the wind of his aura. He was to not to be taken lightly. His face was serious unlike the goons surrounding him.
"What do you guys want?" Madrori asked loudly.
Probably the best time to ambush him on path infrequently taken. They must've been tailing him since he left earlier this morning. Setting up a trap for him on his way back. None the wiser.
"I am Jafari. Right Hand of the Jomu Pirates. I come with a message from Captain Jomu. Come quietly, or you can choose to come in pieces." Said the large man. The rest of the goons started to laugh in unison. They were soft looking at best. The man in front of him was the only problem.
However, they were about to have a bigger problem.
"How about you bow down now, and you won't be come just a memory." Sojima threatened them. Enticing the crowd behind him more and now he was beginning to hear snickers. 'Cut his tongue.' 'Let me just break his nose.' The grunts were muttering all types of insults under their breath but audibly as well.
Rude.
"That goes for everyone." He added.
"Then we accept that as a no. Boys. You heard him."
That was all they needed. The muttering turned into full blown jeers as they unsheathed their swords. Four of them began to surround Madori, cutting off any opportunity for escape. They moved quickly pointing their weapons outstretched and pointed at him. Trapped.
Though there was a calm expression on Madori's face. A few weeks ago this would of been a life or death situation for him. Now...there was a large difference.
"Attack!"
There was a resounding cry of jubilation as the murderers were free to itch that itch. Madori closed his eyes and smiled as his body began to heat exponentially. Though it remained unnoticed for the most part. They all charged forward covering the ten meter distance as fast they could.
The grunts attacked all at once and tried to impale Madori in the abdomen. The blades passed right through him! Not only that, an ungodly heat began to exude from the Raiders body.
Their weapons all began to melt and the heat raced up the weapons and burned their hands. They all cried out in pain and dropped their weapons. They began melt into broken down molten metals. Useless.
The grunts were horrified as they stumbled backwards a few yards in fear. "What the hell is he?" Was one of the many questions he heard before he started to chuckle.
Jafari was understandably spooked. They had heard he had some type of powers but it was unclear what type of power he held. They were beginning to get a taste of such a thing. He frowned as he stepped forward ready to take part of the action.
The reports were right, no telling with what they were dealing with but it was time they all jumped him instead. Couldn't take any chances. Stepping in between his grunts Jafari stood in front of them and sunk into some martial arts stance.
Proficient in hand to hand combat. This would prove deadly for some people, but this was of no concern to Madori. Little did they really know how much of problem he would actually be. That there master sent them to their death.
Madori's hands began grow bright and blossom with a large volume of Magma. "My turn."
