ate at night inside of one of the inns of the Sabaody archipelago, the young aspiring bounty hunter slept peacefully. The area was completely silent; with everyone around being soundly asleep at the time of 2 in the morning. All except for one person that was: under the cloak of darkness a figure dressed in all black crept through the window of Barlow's second story room and looked around the area. The day before the thief had seen the giant man walking around carrying the massive sword Wado Ichimonji. The thief of course just HAD to take the sword for himself, hence his current position within the room where he knew the sword just had to be. Creeping quietly to avoid waking Barlow, the room was scoped out by the thief who too his pleasure noticed the massive sword resting on the side of the bed. With some exertion, the thief picked up the sword which was over 6 feet long and held it over his head as he struggled to carry it with him out of the window.

The efforts of the thief to escape silently did not give him success though, as Wado Ichimonji slipped slightly from his grip and smacked the outside wall of the building with a loud clang which caused Barlow to awake with a start,"Huh what?" he would shoot up from his position in the bed, reflexively reaching down to where he kept Wado Ichimonji, only to discover that it was gone. Now fully awake from the shock of realizing his precious sword is missing, Barlow would grab the nearest item to him, which happened to be the alarm Den Den Mushi next to his bed, and throw it with all his might at the head of the retreating thief. As the thief had jumped from the window legs first only his forehead was visible, but Barlow still managed to strike the man directly on his forehead and drop him down to the ground below where a small band of his fellow thieves were waiting for him. The men attempted to also take their friend with them as they made their escape, but the looming form of Barlow jumping out of the window of the inn directly above them forced them to leave him behind as they made their escape under the cover of darkness.
